It will be an interesting management decision for RVN. I’d assume he wants to bring him off to let him have a singular moment of gratitude from the crowd. Let’s assume it’s the 75th minute. But what if he hasn’t scored by then? How long does RVN wait? I’m sure he’s desperate to bring him off to let him have that moment. But JV will be seriously pissed off if he gets deprived of an opportunity to score!

The argument that he won’t get game time at Chelsea is kind of irrelevant. They invest heavily in players and immediately farm them out to develop and either become assets or quickly sell them on and recoup. He might well spend the next two seasons on loan before he’s in contention for a starting berth there. A great move for the player and Chelsea. Depending on the fee, a poor one for us.

Naaah. It should be the away end that carries his name. That way he can continue being in the heads of away fans long after he’s gone. 👍

To secure the long term, you have to secure the short term. For me, from the names being suggested, Dyche is the best man to do that. If he can get us up and keep us there for a season, he will have been superb for us. All these comments about his football ….. well, who really enjoyed Enzo’s football? (Apart from Winks - who had his career saved). It was tedious. But we all loved winning and getting promoted. I just don’t see a better candidate to help us start on that path again. As for all these comments about swapping styles and the recruitment of players to play a certain style? Well, look where that’s got us! And who will we have left in August that is from that school of thought? We’re staring again from square one in a few weeks time. Dyche may not be perfect, but he looks comfortably the best option for what I think we need in the immediate future.

It seems to be the hip thing in here to be behind this guy, but what has he actually done?
