Daka is physically weak, gets pushed off the ball easily and has a poor first touch. But right now, and I surprise myself saying this, he looks easily our best option up top. We’ve been kicking the forward problem ‘can’ down the road for a long time, now. Daka’s contribution to the goal was good. Whereas Nacho’s entire cameo was absolutely pathetic.

His ‘blips’ with the ball are becoming a regular feature.

That was the most average performance imaginable. Totally dull for most of the game. But even so, 12% of people think the manager of the team double-digits clear at the top should leave?! Wow! 😳 -
Nacho has made Daka look good 🥴

Broadhead is a tricky customer. Wish he was in our squad.
-
Hamza for KDH. We need energy.
-
Like the look of this lad. Two-footed, good first touch, eye for goal, can shoot off either foot and likes to dribble. 😍😍
-
They also had a string of chintzy hits in the 70s. Amazed they had time to play footie as well.

So. As a massive Daka-doubter, (and someone who’s been managing an end of life friendship all week and hasn’t seen a moment of today's game), was he really good or is this the usual FT knee-jerk bollox the moment anyone does anything half-decent? I’m a city fan, desperate for my club to be successful. I’ll happily eat any amount of humble-pie if required. But I’m not quite ready to tuck in on the back of a home win against bottom of the league Rotherham. Those who actually aren’t fan-boys AND saw the game, whaddya reckon? A decent striker reborn? Or another false dawn???

Getting his wage off the books asap has to be a good thing, given the contribution he offers us in return.

Birmingham City (A) 2-3 Leicester - Post-Match Thread

Have been away all week and won’t get to see the recording until Thursday, but sounds like the slightly more attacking & positive, forward-looking performance many of us have been crying out for? Fabulous. Long may it continue. -
14 wins from 25 remaining matches probably ensures promotion. That means our win ratio can drop from 81% to 56%and we’ll be okay. Wow 😳
-
Broadhead is a super little player. Hirst dropping deep into the hole causes problems. We’ll need to think who goes to pick him up. Jannik will never get back if he goes! 🥴
-
Ipswich are good. They attack with passion, pace and numbers. I’d be seriously tempted to play Hamza over Ricky for this game as I think we’ll be doing more defending and chasing back than we have in any other game so far.
-
That's the one!!!
-
KDH looked totally spent when he came off last night. Definite rest, if possible. Also, if Albrighton is fit, I'd give Mavididi a breather, too.
-
There are two in Leicester now - virtually opposite each other. There's Kayal, which is fab - but won't have much on the menu that people will be familiar with, so leave plenty of time for reading it! Then there's the one opposite, which I think is called Kayal Green - which is veggie only. Haven't been to that one yet.
-
If we take 4 points from next two, we’ll reach the halfway mark on 56. If 93 is the threshold, we’d need 37 more points…… that’s 12 wins , (ish), from last 23 games ….. that means we could almost get away with losing every other game and still go up! 😳😳😳
-
Has anyone put a shout in for Kayal, yet? One in Leicester is very good; the one in Nottingham is excellent.
-
We’re 11 points clear of third, and that’s amazing. So any frustration has to be tempered against that, but I thought we saw elements of us at our best and our worst tonight. The first 30 minutes I wanted to poke my eyes out. Slow, cautious, turgid and lacking energy and creativity. Most of the second half, we were a great mix of control with intentionality. Players looking to go forward rather than backwards. Wilf personified the night - his positions were great; his finishing woeful. 😂. There is only one goal this season and we are on track to achieve it. Results are what matters, so we march on.
-
Left-field comment, but did anyone else think the pitch seemed to cut up really badly? Over-watered? Not helpful to a passing team.
-
Why can’t we start with this wise of urgency? Thank god we’ve found it now.
-
Our style is such hard work. The results may be fun, but the watching is blooming hideous.
-
Maybe that’s why he’s selected Ward ……..
