Ex Players - They used to play for us

Waggy has retired, still love thinking of that 09/10 season! -
Well that was unnecessary!

For me, I think the problem is when you make an exception, even in a case as obvious as this, it opens the window just a little on allowing a punishment and it could snowball from there. It’s like with assisted dying, the ramifications are very complex and potentially dangerous.
-
What do you think it was then?

My sister has Asperger’s/borderline personality disorder, I can still tell her when she’s not behaving appropriately. Musk is obviously a clever guy. I’m pretty sure he would know how that gesture could be interpreted. He could have done anything daft (like he did at the Trump rallies), but he chose on a president’s inauguration to do a salute. He could have had his palm out wide to anybody but he had it straight as an arrow palm flat. I don’t know how that could be interpreted any differently. If it’s going to be a sensitivity issue then he shouldn’t be allowed near government. But naturally western democracies are a hot mess at the moment so the bar for low standards is near basement level.
-
Absolutely, but you still hold people to account on appropriate behaviour in society.
-
It’s not just about defending it, it’s letting it be acceptable that’s just as bad. Anybody prominent hinting such a salute would be expected to grovel , resign and beg for forgiveness. But he’ll just swan on because Trumpie’s richest boi.

I think there’s plenty of ways you can make a show of “giving your heart to the people” without doing a Nazi salute.

Top quality housing from the goalie! -
I was referring to the their new Canford Magna training ground https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/videos/c62w2e9nw4qo. Obviously we’d take the points at the moment, but (at the time) King Power would have evaluated their options re expanding the stadium and building the training ground. Also I’m sure some of the land purchases around the ground (the national grid and eon buildings)?
-
You do know that Bournemouth are also building a fairly expensive training ground and still haven’t done anything to their stadium, despite being in the premier league for a fair few years now.

Footy Headlines will just be going with what we have this year. Though I wouldn’t mind if we did have it again, then I can ask for a sponsor less one like this year.
-
Incredibly it’s coming round to that time of the year again when the leaks start trickling through. This is a very early prediction from Footy Headlines for our 3rd kit. I really really hope Adidas gets this right https://www.footyheadlines.com/2024/12/leicester-city-25-26-away-kit.html “Footy Headlines can exclusively leak that Leicester City's 2025-26 away kit will pay homage to the club's iconic 95-96 third shirt. It is made by Adidas and will be worn in the 2025-2026 Premier League. The Adidas Leicester City 2025-2026 away jersey features a design inspired by the classic 95-96 third kit in a completely fresher way. The Adidas Leicester 2025-26 away shirt will also feature a diamond pattern like the 95-96 third shirt.”

I do enjoy a good community note. Cleverly not living up to his surname again.

Think how much the gap can change in another 5 years. Sure it’s a great night for Villa but it won’t last forever.
