  1. I don’t think Toney was ever actually with our youth set up was he? And Basey has done okay, but it was the right move for him to leave given the circumstances at the time.
  2. I used to play football with a guy everyone called Tampon - he was always injured. He was in the side for 1 week and out for 3.
  3. Shortsighted here, we need the expansion if we ever want to grow as a club. Where we sit at this particular moment in history should not stand in the way of progressing to where we want to be. There might be empty seats in some areas, but how many tickets were on general sale for the game? Can anyone walk up and expect to grab a ticket on the day of the game? Realistically, if we want to compete in the PL we need a minimum of 40,000.
  4. On the bright side, only Leicester, Man City and Arsenal have scored in every Premier League game this season.
  5. Would I be right in saying Kishishev would be the only player in that squad who would have played at a World Cup?
  6. It’s that time again, this weekend will be the AFL Grand Final - Sydney Swans, who have been the most consistent and best side for the entire season. Up against Brisbane Lions, who have arguably been the best team in the second half of the season. No Victorian teams for the first time in about 20 years, I think. Brisbane won last time they met by 2 points. Best Players for each team: Sydney have Issac Heeney, who in my eyes, is the best player in the competition and a couple of outstanding young guns in Errol Gulden and Chad Warner. Brisbane have Lachie Neale, and the inform Cam Rayner. Charlie Cameron is the man capable of doing special things in a game like this. Tom Papley, is the Love him to play for you hate him against you type player for Sydney who will score a couple of goals. My prediction is Swans by 18, with Heeney winning the Norm Smith (Best on Ground Medal) and Papley being First goal scorer. Anyone else watching? Any other predictions?
  7. We need to realise where we are as a team if we are ever going to be moderately happy as a fan base. Right now, our only mission is staying in the league. Our squad and best 11 is significantly inferior to the squad that was relegated 2 seasons ago and one of the worst 5 in the league. This was evident in how poor the team was against Walsall when we rotated. Whilst I don’t think Cooper is the man we need long term, I still think he’s the right man in the short term. The goal is, and always was 17th position this season. The way we’ve played so far, I don’t think that’s unrealistic. When we have reestablished ourselves and are stable off the pitch, that will be the point we let Cooper go and bring in the man who can ride us up the league again. It’s a slow process, and as a supporter base we need to be patient.
  8. To be fair, we are one of only 4 teams I believe that have scored in every league game so far this season.
  9. I see 9 points from that lot. We simply have to beat the two promoted sides. So far they have both been worse than us, do Forest 3-0 at home. Maybe throw in a point or three against Bournemouth and we are heading towards midtable. Feck it, let’s shit on the Arsenal too and get the maximum
  10. The biggest worry is not a single player that came in tonight put their hand up to be involved on the weekend. We can blame Cooper all we like, but as professionals, none of them stepped up and said you can’t ignore me.
  11. So, in good news we are into the last 16 of the League Cup. The draw will take place tomorrow after the Liverpool v West Ham game. Who do we want? Sheff Wednesday at home for me, get through and head into the 1/4 finals. All the big teams still in, but with extra European games this season, how seriously can the CL teams take it? Can we go all the way? Why not?
  12. I’d say that’s quite simple, if he wants to play every week and force his way into the Palace team, he needs to score goals here. Yes he’s got the contract, but if he wants to play he needs the opportunity to prove his worth and score goals.
  13. Harsh to say anything about Edouard on one showing in what was essentially a reserve team game. Ayew has been okay I think, he’s never going to set the world on fire, but you know exactly what you’re going to get week in, week out, in a way a perfect Albrighton replacement, all though different players. BDCR, I though this was a shrewd pickup in the offseason, but so far the less said the better. He’s not really got going has he. I’m really interested to see what the season looks like for these 3, see how this thread looks in May.
  14. It really didn’t at all
  15. Glad to see you’re capable of putting together an intelligent response…
  16. Bloody hell, I’m actually shocked by the comments in here. I know this place has become a cesspit of negativity, but you can’t fault the players and their commitment today in those conditions. They’ve given it all and we’re by far the better team, particularly 2nd half.
  17. Nice, looking forward to seeing what El Khannouss can produce. Lets gerrin to em from the off
  18. Richards on the bench for Exeter Thomas starting for Wigan Cover starting for Port Vale All early kick offs in the EFL
  19. There’s is absolutely 0 chance Cooper is sacked at any point before Christmas. It doesn’t matter what the result is today, he will be in charge for Walsall midweek and again when we go to Arsenal.

  22. 12 points and a happy FoxesTalk
  23. It’s an absolute stinker, especially in a group with Japan and Saudi Arabia, it really puts them on the back foot early in the group. It’s only one game, but it will be a struggle to get back from here.
