I only brought my ticket hoping Alves would start and Monga would get minutes. Ruud would get a massive tick if he starts both, I don't care about the result.

Have you ask the Brighton fans? Expectation change, with that what you deem as success change in line with those expectations. We massively drop the ball, become we became complacent, success is the prefect breeding for complacency, we thought we had cracked it, top 6 club on a regular basis and stopping doing the thing that got us there. Like Leeds in the, like Blackburn, like Newcastle at there zenith. The issue is everyone tries to compete with the greed 6 on wages and transfer fee to get Europe, or to win trophy and you can't. What you need to do is stick to your own plan and principle which is what Brighton, Brentford et al are doing at the moment.

It's personal opinion but football is about winning trophies, it's the only barometer of success for me. Arsenal hold the record for English club for the most consecutive seasons in the Champions League, does that make them a successful champions League team? In my time as a City fan I've watched them lift the PL title, FA Cup and 2 x league Cups live. In the same time Brighton have won 0, I wouldn't swap that for breaking our record for consecutive season in the PL.

I agree.

He was 15-16 at the time of the tweets, they obviously leaned towards re-education rather than punishment. Widely reported in the media that the tweets were of a racist and sexist nature. One of the tweets deemed rasict: Why are black people so fast. Because the slow ones are in prison.

I'd say the first statement is pretty accurate. Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury has been fined £5,000 and ordered to attend an education course due to historical comments on social media which included reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or sexual orientation, the Football Association has announced. The 21-year-old wrote the messages in 2013 and 2014 and apologised for the posts last week when he was charged with misconduct by the governing body https://www.thefa.com/news/2019/may/02/hamza-choudhury-fined-100519 The second could be argued The from the river to the sea, slogan is widely understood as a demand for the destruction of Israel. But you could argue its just pro-Palestine. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12998205/fa-to-write-to-clubs-after-leicester-city-player-hamza-choudhurys-pro-palestinian-post

Any think Ruud only turned up on the 29th of November, didn't manage he's first game until the 3rd, probably need a couple of weeks to assess the squad. So they club probably didn't know what he want to late December. I'm not surprised we are slow of the mark.
-
Ruud joined on 29th of November, would have need 2-3 weeks to assess the squad. So it could be he only told the club what he wants middle to late December. If you are going to buy player you have to buy ones the manager wants, no surprise we weren't ready to sign someone first week of Jan.

So why have they sacked him?
-
People wanting Dyche need to look at Everton stats
-
State of this thread. We are buying Mbappe..... People bite on any random saying something!
-
I think they will sell Delap easy enough.
-
I think Dyche would have kept them safe, this could be a mistake by the Everton owners. Risky
-
Maybe, but we should have done that in the summer rather than buying Okoli. We should have punted the 35m spent on Okoli and Skipp on several cheaper talents.

Depending who it is interested in Europe. We do need to find value but not sure he's the one. This window is terrifying, we are still stuck with two flops from the 22/23 window in Kristiansen and souttar. We have stock piling of CB, Vestergaard, Coady, Faes, Okoli and Souttar. For the long term future of the club I'd be sticking to what we have unless we can move one of those 4 on. I would be looking at getting Nelson fit and chucking him in, he's show he's good enough for the Championship, can he step up. We can't keep stock piling players, we need to be ruthless, unless we have a nailed on quality player like Fofana.

Great work by Villa, inceasing a players price by 7m without him hardly kicking a ball.
-
Because we haven't picked up a player that no one else in Europe is interested in?

Tanner behind another scoop, let hope he doesn't have to update this one 1/2 hour later...... -
Would happily play him LM over Mavididi.
