  1. I don't see it. We would then need another RB, who would cost a fee.
  2. But let's not forget, this is the same Son who scored 17 goals and got 10 PL assists last season. It is not just about being taken on but about the ball played behind the full-back; he still has plenty of pace. Son was in the 78th percentile for successful take on last season as a forward, where he played most of the season. He was not far behind Saka when playing as a winger; Son was in the 38th percentile, Saka 46th.
  3. We looked nervous and treated them with too much respect, but the goal gave us a massive boost of confidence and belief. In the first half, we sat off and let them play. For that 20-minute period, we got in their faces and stepped onto them. We need to compensate for the lack of quality with aggression, work rate, and passion. Get into the team and have a go.
  4. JJ played RB because of Son's pace. I expect Riccy to play a lot still this season.
  5. Rather have Skipp to TBH.
  6. Looked a real leader last night. Another player who got done over by Rodger’s
  7. Think it's partly due to being the under dog again, low expectations etc. Very open and honest, I think he will be a grower on the fan base, as you say echos of the big man.
  8. We play again in 5 days we need to rotation this is going to be about everyone running there balla off.
  9. Thought both fullbacks were very good.
  10. Looked nervous and gave then to much respect early doors, grew into it. One in the eye for all the doomsayers and negative buggers
  11. Can't wait, tough game, but as long as we give it a go and the lads put in a shift.
  12. Probably go Liverpool to not play for years then get sold for a profit.
  13. We will bring in attacking players, people need to chill.....
  14. Pretty confident we spend another 30m whether that's on 1 player is another thing.
  15. @moore_94 standards are slipping. You got beat to it...
  16. He isn't picking us over Brighton at this current time, so why waste our time bidding.
  17. We have always signed a blend of young and old since the Pearson days.
  18. I'm not sure Winks stays for another season in the champion, I think he would move on. There would only be around 3m amortisation of his fee left, I think with a decent PL season he would have suitors. I think Skipp could become a key part of the side and leadership group of the club, his a good age, we can get 4-7 years out of him. He 23 and still has scope for improvement, if he was 28 if would be more of an issue for me. Do I think he's over priced 100%, but I don't think his a decent player.
  19. To be fair he did get in the team of the year for Norwich last time.
  20. I think he has the ability, to bring more goals and assists, I also think he can be the pre-assister more from higher up. I think it going to be a hard slog with some grinding out results, we can't afford to concede the amount of goal Luton (85), Burnley (78) and Sheff Utd did (104). I will judge this signing on the rest of the window, if we bring in decent options at CF, CAM and LB I will be ok with it. If we can't I will be grumpy. I think he makes us better, but we need the other part of the jigsaw.
  21. It can work, if you have good wide players, attacking full backs and a good CF. We need a good CF and an attacking LB, for me. We we went down, team consistently walked though the middle of the park, we need to stay in game and make them a battle and tight. I can see us playing the 3 against top 8 team in a 4-3-3 and dropping one and going 4-2-3-1 against weaker teams.
  22. Depends if we are planning any other deals with them.
  23. I wouldn't worry about it the PL has enough on is hands dealing with its own PSR cases without taking on the EFL. What do the PL gain by taking it on? I also doubt we have finalised, had our accounts audited and shared with EFL, they only closed on the 30th of June. The EFL are forecasting another overspend based on the club refusing to share it financial plans, they are guessing at the moment.
  24. If we can get a decent forward in it could work, but I'd also argue Liverpool made it work because they had very attacking fullbacks. Something we don't really have. But we do need to be a lot tighter then the last time we were in the PL, having a decent screen in front of the back 4 will help.
