KP have really embraced that small-time drug dealer chic. Very en vogue

To be fair to Knudsen, a lot of the damage was done prior to his arrival. Bit unfair to pin that on him, imho. From what I can recall we improved slightly at defending set-pieces after he joined, but it's fair to say his impact wasn't massive.

One of those rare moves that could be beneficial for all parties. FWIW I think Enzo might do okay at Chelsea. Some of the attacking patterns he introduced could be devastating with their attacking talent, particularly their wingers. However, much more importantly we won't now be sticking to a system which would almost certainly see us picked off every single week, Burnley-style. We also get the £10m compo and hopefully someone who IS actually happy to work with rrestrictions. I also won't miss the way he used Balague as his mouthpiece - thought that was absolutely pathetic. I lost a lot of respect for both men there.

I think a lack of experience is less of an issue when you're in the Championship. Could be a real problem in the PL, when you're up against some of the best in the business.

I'll remember Enzo's time warmly, I think. I'm grateful that he fixed up the shitshow in double-quick time and brought in some badly-needed structure. I know he had the most talented squad, but he also inherited one of the most brittle and dysfunctional teams. The football was frustrating, but it was also brilliant to watch at times. Can't wish him luck though, can't stand Chelsea

Low fee, low risk, low ability is an interesting new strategy.

Not sure about RVN. I know it rarely ends well for any manager at a club, but the PSV players loathed RVN didn't they?

These things always take time. I'm sure it'll be announced soon enough.

To be fair, that will mean he's been successful with us, so I'll take that. Obviously we all love Leicester City, but any decent manager will have bigger ambitions (see Maresca, Enzo) and we have to accept that. That's not small time by the way, that's just football. Probs only a handful of clubs who can keep a really successful manager.

Some serious pant-shitting going on here. Enzo won't even have a say in signings. Chelsea will pay £60m for some 18 year old from Lens reserves.
-
Exactly. I think he'd already got wind of their interest before the end of the season, and his comments were paving the way for his exit.* As you say, he'd have gone anyway, but our issues are a handy excuse. *That said, I believe he was speaking the truth, and what he said needed saying.

Nah. Flatters to deceive. No, thanks

Cooper or Edwards....which end of the attractiveness scale do we go with?

I think people are slightly over-estimating the points deduction thing etc. Imho football is like any other industry, if you're out of work and you're offered a good job, you'll take it. If you're offered more money, to do the same job, you'll probably take it. Managers know we pay well and that we don't fire managers in a hurry. I don't think the likes of Moyes are too good for us at all. I also really don't think the points deduction will factor massively in anyone's decision. Any decent manager would be looking beyond this season anyway.

Let's get Cambiasso with Big Nige as his assistant... ....just as it was in 2015.
-
Okay, you lot have convinced me - Hala Carlos!

I think if a manager in the Championship has the opportunity to land a job in the Premier League, then he takes it, despite the off-field 'challenges'. That's not arrogance, that's just the way it is imho.
-
We're in a different league now. PS You've decided to compare him to Enzo - I didn't. I was judging Corberan on his own merits. I just think we can probably do a bit better than him. Still, if it is to be him, I'll back him 100%
-
I actually rate Enzo, but Maresca to Chelsea and Kompany to Bayern are two of the strangest appointments I've seen for a while. Might be wildly inaccurate but it probably shows the influence that agents wield in the game.
-
Yeah, although 7 of those were against the Solomon Islands in Oceania qualifiers* *might not be 100% accurate, on the basis I made it up.

Not convinced he has the pedigree. If I'm honest. I feel like we should be aiming higher.

Moyes would probably command respect from the players. The football would not be fun to watch, though. Those cheering Enzo's exit will be shaving their heads in homage after a few months of Moyesball.
