I remember reading the comments about it on what I think was the old BBC 606 forum and it got slated for having black panelling under the arms- it was meant to be navy, gutting
-
I guess it depends on when the club felt was the right time to make changes? Some on here have hinted that he's going, the person who I know who knows Martin said that Rudkin wasn't going to be around much longer from what he had heard so who knows. Happy to cling on to any hope.
-
All being well he's gone before we come back for pre-season.

Your probably right, you seem like a really level headed poster...

Shame your opinion means the equivalent of F all ain't it

That the DoF won't be here

They did, I entered as a kid and got down to the final few that were voted on. I think it was this one that won.

How have Sunderland made another change? That's the 4th sub window they have used? -
Potentially not his decision, someone described us as a rudderless ship earlier in the thread, it may turn out Ruderless is more appropriate!

Get in there!!! -
Pretty much what I was told, conversations started a few weeks ago, they then progressed this week to the point where it's as good as done.

Largely as a defensive mid, but injuries to Gilchrist, Clarke and Seriki meant he's been used at right back often towards the end of the season and done well there. Obviously it helps he can come into the midfield for them which he has done if required. -

Come on United!!!! -
Forest would be a strange choice by that logic as they aren't exactly a production line for youth products. Johnson and Yates the most recent ones I think with Abbott coming through but hasn't featured much other than cup games. I expect as others suggest it's probably just media talk.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
LcFc_Smiv replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
The Mrs has been getting into her running and is doing really well, she knew I was going out last night and asked if she could come along if I was happy to go at her pace. I agreed but advised I wanted to explore a new route down a country path, Strava was telling me it would be 7k which she was happy with. 15 Minutes into the run and my country path is heavily overgrown and has a very noticeable gradual incline, I darent look over my shoulder. Get to the end of the over grown path and it leads to a field full of crops, obviously no one has used this path recently as there are only tractor tracks, not a trodden footpath, it's fine, follow the tractor tracks.....3 minutes of running through ruts she finally loses her head and is screaming at me to turn around and go home. I advise this is the fun of 'trail' running but agree to go back, anyway, we're massively short of distance and assume she still wants to do 7k so I put a little loop in which she doesn't clock. We get to the furthest point out on the loop, 2.5k from home she realises we aren't running home, this leads to some extremely strong words. We get to the edge of our village, we're at 6k, 1k from home, and I turn a corner to run home, whether it's in her distress or she just doesn't pay attention to where we live she berrates me again and tells me not that way, carry straight on...... 30 seconds later were running up a massive hill to which I drop back and asked her why on earth she wanted to come this way when it was a flat run home. She bursts into tears and tells me she got the wrong road, too which I laughed and then advised her because of her stupidity we were now likely to end up over 7k.... Needless to say I don't think she'll want to run with me anytime soon, I copped more sh*t when I titled it 'Steady Run' on Strava. -
He's a decent player for them but I think he's massively overrated and a symbol of everything that is wrong with them by him being captain.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
LcFc_Smiv replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Only people on here can spend months moaning saying anyone but Ruud, complain about the lack of style and patterns of play, then lose their minds when we're rumoured to be appointing someone who isn't Ruud and has a clear philosophy around his style and patterns of play l. -
I didn't think he would be a popular choice, but the response on here is on another level
-
I mean he doesn't but this isn't as reactionary as that, he was courting Martin while he was Swans manager, met with him a few times towards the end of the initial relegation season and prior to Martin taking the Saints job. This has been on the cards a while.
-
When I asked someone who worked closely with Martin previously, and who had also been involved at our club in the past 10 years, they stated he was interested but couldn't see him taking it while Rudkin was in post. Their view was that fans would let the Southampton stint cloud their judgement but the work he did at MK Dons and Swansea, working with limited budgets and developing youth would be what we need and that given the chance we would quickly change our mind. I was against Martin when we held initial discussions pre-Maresca. I then had the chance to listen to him speak about his time at Swansea at roughly the same time, in fact I think he took the Saints job the next day, and I was pretty impressed, especially when he spoke about the limitations he faced at Swansea. I think it's easy to forget he's only 39 and at the start of his managerial journey, there's going to be a lot he learns in each job. He's shown more than many others at his stage of his career who have flopped big time, and the massive red mark against his name at the moment is the Saints stint in the Prem, with and without him they were largely honking. My concern is that he's frequently stated he has a Plan A and it's about instilling the belief in the players that they can do what Plan A requires, if they have to tweak and adapt they will, but Plan B means their not being true to themselves. I hope he's learned a lot since those kind of comments and realises you can get away with that where performances and results aren't as heavily scrutinised but now he's at a point where he needs to adapt against better opposition to get points on the board.
-
I think the fans have got it spot on today, great level of support for Vards, but also the Rudkin out and sack the board chants have been loud and clear. Great work

Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance
LcFc_Smiv replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
An AI generated image is the best we could do? I've been critical of people jumping on the club for any little thing recently but this proper sums us up. -
The difference in Glasner and Rodgers post-match is huge, Glasner very much the trophy doesn't matter as much as the moment does for the fans. Rodgers pleased for the players, for the supporters, the club, and for 'Khun Top', there was never an emotional attachment to the club, he was only interested in pleasing the bosses and furthering his career. Its the only bit that tars our win for me, I wish we had done it with someone who wanted to give more for the club itself regardless of ownership and give the fans those moments.
