  1. Maybe I’m responding to this because I’m one of the volunteers at the Trust who has contributed a lot of time and effort to getting this survey up and running but it’s a bit disheartening to hear people criticising the number of questions. There were a group of over 10 people with whom the questions were vetted. Where we got to with the end result was a set of questions that gives us the best chance to know over the next year what LCFC fans are thinking and feeling and hard data to press the club direct but also share with local and national media. The most time it will take anyone is 10-15 minutes (depending on your answers to some questions, you’ll not actually even see others as they are not relevant to your responses). It’s not much to support an effort to do something and the time taken to criticise and moan on here does far less than that taken to respond to a survey that the club will see.
  2. As supporters, we should all have a vested interest in the Fan Engagement Framework and how those within it are representing us (at the end of the day, that’s what they are there as: representation of a wider group). You can tell them what you think about how they’re doing: [email protected] I mean it’s club employees who see that email inbox - and FAB reps don’t have direct access to it as far as I understand - but, of course, you’d hope the club will pass constructive feedback on… If these minutes (and previous ones) do one thing, I hope it’s create more scrutiny on the Fan Engagement Framework and how it’s serving us as Leicester City fans.
  3. A serious team does not concede from a corner a couple of minutes into the match. Forget what came after, and our inability to breakdown the worst side that has ever played at this level, that start tells you everything you need to know about this bunch and where they're headed. Today confirmed we’re utterly done for.
  4. As a wise man once said. “What have protests ever achieved?” Come on, large scale protests here could achieve a hell of a lot. At the moment, Aiyawatt still thinks he’s welcome here (I can’t quite claim with absolute certainty that he’s not based on what we’re seeing across the fan base atm) and the vanity project that owning this club has become for him is still intact. That penny needs to drop for him that he’s not and that ownership of this club is negatively affecting his image before he’ll even consider selling. Right now, I think he thinks he’s adored.
  5. Bumping this. Just over one week left for Trust members to take advantage of this offer (tickets must be bought by Monday 6th April).
  6. “Grandson, in a football stadium, there are going to be some naughty words - many of which you won’t understand at the age of 10. If I hear you using any of them away from the stadium then [insert appropriate punishment that will resonate with a 10 year old]”. Thats how it used to work, isn’t it? I don’t personally sing that chant because I just don’t think it’s productive for getting people on the same page. There are a lot of, let’s say “fans of a certain age”, for whom that word is far more significant than anyone under the age of say 30. Have a little browse of social media, go to a comedy gig or sit beside a group of young people in a pub and you’ll hear it very casually used. It’s lost its gravitas as a swear word in popular culture in the UK but there’s a whole chunk of our fan base still viewing it how it was used 20/30/40 years ago. Funnily enough, they’re the ones out of sync with social norms, not the people singing it in a football stadium. But, as I said, that doesn’t mean people should sing it if we’re trying to get as many people on the same page about this issue of Rudkin.
  7. Add to the list of signs that there are cash flow problems…. Desperate for people to chuck some money in upfront now to keep things going until payday.
  8. “Several clubs interested” but we still couldn’t get him out of the door (and even then only a loan with an option to buy). Add to the Rudkin masterclass list. It’s also interesting to hear him openly say that at the end of last season - whilst he still had plenty of time left on his contract - he knew it was time for him to leave the club. How many others have also had that realisation/hope and are sat still playing in our first team whilst longing for a departure? These are the kind of things that lead to what we’re seeing now: a load of players that have checked out and don’t believe they’ll be here to deal with the consequences of relegation. In actual fact, relegation probably furthers your aim to leave. How mad is that? That the likes of Winks and Mavididi probably want their next move and know they will get it easier if we drop. Are they really going to give it 100% effort?!
  9. Not a fan of the “minus 6 who gives a ****” chant. Because I really do - it should never have happened. How about: Minus six, because of you You then promote the responsible two You want to get closer, to the fans Then hide in Thailand, sat on your hands You show you’re a fool, with “we promote” Sell the club, like the family boat
  10. Trust took a position of highlighting this today (given the majority of members who responded to a Pulse survey said they were in favour of new ownership) and the Facebook comments are WILD!
  11. No chance it’ll happen. We have an owner who thinks the right thing is for us to try and be a mini Man City. If we stay up it’ll be some kind of Russell Martin type and a version of Enzoball.
  12. If we lose tomorrow night, it’ll debunk the nonsense that the protest was a reason we lost the Norwich match. Torn between wanting us to get the points and the nauseating “told you so” nonsense it will bring.
  13. You should get a renewal email to be able to do it via that. The email will come from [email protected] (the CRM system the Trust moved to last year) but should still show as ‘Foxes Trust’ in the email itself. A lot of emails from the new system are heading to junk/spam so worth checking there. If you’ve not received, email [email protected] and someone will pick up helping you!
  14. Converting debt to equity is not the same as investing cash. We’d not be using these Macquarie Bank payday loans if King Power or the family were investing cash still. Clearly a tactic because the money has dried up and we need to do it to keep financing the running of the club.
  15. Are King Power putting in the ‘maximum allowed possible’? Dig deeper and you might actually find there’s very little investment coming from King Power (even though the club is used as a billboard for them).
  16. Got to just call this out as also incorrect. The Lineker consortium and work done by the Foxes Trust saved the club. Mandaric took it, unconventionally with the relegation soon after the purchase, back to the place that it had the chance to prosper again. But, yes, the notion that without KP we’d have not been in existence or not been promoted back to the Premier League is utter nonsense.
  17. Drum roll for the big reveal on what you have planned…
  18. “Now’s not the right time to protest” ”I’m not comfortable with the starting point” ”We should be united behind the lads to stay up, not creating toxicity” “Wouldn’t a better protest have been to…” I see the protest connoisseurs are back out in force whilst not actually doing anything themselves to affect change! The reality is that some people just don’t yet see it (the issues and the culpability of the ownership). That’s fine. Whilst I’m amazed you’re not, you don’t have to be there just yet. But stop with the flimsy critiques of those that are. A plan has been set out and it’s quite clear and simple what it is. If there were to be a march in support of Top/King Power I’d personally question the critical thinking skills of those in attendance (privately) but I’d be at peace with them making a show of their support. And I wouldn’t be making snide comments in supposed support of a better type of that show of support whilst not quite being aligned with their way of thinking. There’s no need for nuance in this one. If you’re fed up of the ownership and want change, get on the protest. If you’re not and you don’t, stay away. It’s fine to not want the ownership/Top out. I hope it’s a massive success today.
  19. Listened the Cremona one on a flight and the pause midway through with a booming jet sound made me absolutely cack my pants that we were about to collide with another plane
  20. Harry said it first! We’re so in-sync
  21. A few volunteers who have been supporting for many years have stepped away as they didn’t want to continue after the election result. But it’s more that the new board wants to do more things than before, and that there is a lot of work to do, so the more people helping out the easier and quicker it will be! Something the Trust has missed in recent years - probably due to the fact it consistently took a kicking every time it spoke publicly - was proactive recruitment (of members and people to help).
