I think people might be surprised just how many would join in with a King Power Out chant now. Especially in an away end.

Latest Fan Advisory Board (FAB) Meeting
Freeman's Wharfer replied to jammie82uk's topic in Leicester City Forum
The letter from the FAB reads like it’s a group of people who think their job is to unite all fans as cheerleaders or motivate positivity where there is justifiable scepticism and negativity. What they should actually be are a group of people in the room with the club on a regular basis challenging the club, advising them strongly against the mistakes they are continually making and actually influencing something that results in a demonstrable outcome. In my personal opinion, it’s becoming evident that either they are the wrong people to do this, or the model is flawed and it prevents them from doing so. For it to be signed off with a Cliff Ginetta Club esque “get behind the lads” is almost beyond parody. -
Remember the debacle where Pearson was told he’d been sacked and then reinstated later that day as someone didn’t have authority to make the decision in the 2014/15 season? Just before we played Arsenal away. It was never confirmed who did the sacking and who overruled and did the reinstating but I think we now know don’t we? Aiyawatt got away with that little episode. One that would have changed the course of history and meant we never won the Premier League. But yet he’s dining out on the credit for the success that came thereafter with some fans to this day.

Oliver Skipp Confirmed
Freeman's Wharfer replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought he was decent at Oxford away when we had 10 men. Covered a lot of ground that day. He’s a disruptor. He gets around the pitch and puts pressure on/gets in peoples faces. That’s not to say that he’s good enough - and he’s a million miles away from being worth what we paid - but he’s undoubtedly a much better option than Soumare. -
LCFC 2-1 Stoke, post-match thread
Freeman's Wharfer replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Don’t kid yourselves this team is anything other than mid table fodder. Depending on the size of the points deduction that could turn into a relegation battle quite easily. -
Oliver Skipp Confirmed

He’s limited. But he tries and, right now, that differentiates him and makes him worth having in the XI. A beautiful pass in the lead up to the Daka goal as well. -
Foxes Trust Reform - the final step
Freeman's Wharfer replied to Foxes Trust Reform's topic in Leicester City Forum
As a current board member who has been chairing this subgroup of the Trust, I just wanted to say that @Ricey has been such a great addition to our team. He’s already had a huge impact and we need more people like him helping us to push the Trust on. I hope people do sign up and have their say in the upcoming elections and I hope more people step forward to help out. -

Or maybe the Trust has had a voice and has been pushing for better communication for a long time now - see the end of season survey results, Fan Engagement Framework meeting minutes and numerous Communication Void pieces produced in recent months - and is keeping the pressure on for this to happen if it looks like positive progress is being made but plans aren’t quite firmed up yet… But it’s easier just to keep hammering the Trust from the sidelines and not acknowledging any of the work it does for some I guess

Thought that it didn’t look a good sign that they weren’t carried down to pitchside to the ambulance that was waiting but hoping the reports that the person was responsive are true. Seen some criticism of the response online which doesn’t seem fair. There was quite clearly a lot of people who got there pretty swiftly and you don’t want your first responders unable to compose themselves to treat someone because they’ve sprinted up 50 steps. Hopefully we get a positive update in the next 24-48 hours.

Something about him here works and the game is hitting a point where this slow passing from the back is becoming dated. Look at what Robins is doing at Stoke. I’m not completely against the idea of giving it a go.

This thread shows exactly why a protest will be so hard to pull off. On page 1 there’s people citing club rules and cacking themselves the club might punish them. Part of the reason why the Sheffield Wednesday protest worked so well was that half their away end couldn’t get in the stadium. They were forced to stay outside because the inside was full and health and safety couldn’t permit more to enter. There will have been a big chunk of those outside who would have made their way straight to the seats were they let in. If you want to do the no-show protest, it needs to be an away game with a small concourse and you’d need to be in before the Coach 1/KPFC types even get through the turnstile.

He’s 27. TWENTY SEVEN. If he’s still being negatively affected by mental fragility at this point then there’s a serious problem. Perhaps it’s not confidence and he’s just not actually very good?

Two things to take from today
Freeman's Wharfer replied to broughtonblue's topic in Leicester City Forum
They held a ceremony at the stadium in the week. Which, IMO, in itself, is a bit ridiculous to still be doing as a club. What are they going to do, force many who never knew him to sit through a ceremony year after year like he’s some martyr? He passed away. I get the circumstances were unexpected and tragic but does it need a big fanfare or special event every year? Only if you’re maintaining some cult-like reverence… -
Aiyawatt and Rudkin, get out of our club Get out of our club Get out of our club Aiyawatt and Rudkin, get out of our club

Always find this point interesting. The notion that supporters should be like circus seals just mindlessly clapping along because they are supporters. Maybe supporting this club right now is actually putting pressure on the senior leadership that is dragging it down and telling these charlatan players that we see them and don’t endorse their lack of respect for our club? You’d have to do a pretty good job to convince me that no change in leadership and the continued appearance of the likes of Faes and Soumare is in the best interests of my club. So in my opinion supporting the club is doing anything that works against those parties.

An Evening With Leicester City Legends
Freeman's Wharfer replied to pkonline's topic in Leicester City Forum
Just remembered an interesting little snippet: Simpson said in January/February of the 2015/16 season, Schmeichel was telling the club they needed to tie Kante down on a new deal without a release clause. -
Was the interim CEO who wants to get more involved with the day to day running of the club there to lead in-person tonight?!

An Evening With Leicester City Legends
Freeman's Wharfer replied to pkonline's topic in Leicester City Forum
Like you say, not much juice shared but that’s a result of the highly media trained modern day player and many of them still wanting a media role/club role. Have to remember it’s the first event of this kind they’ve done and as they get older will no doubt loosen up a bit more. Huth came out of it best. Really good sense of humour and could see that the other three really admired him when he was speaking. Simpson was closest to spilling some of the tea and you can tell he yearns for those Leicester days again. I suspect he’s never managed to find the happiness he did during that period of his life. He clearly cares for the club. Morgan spoke well and it was interesting to hear him say that his children are Leicester fans. He’s clearly very close with Simpson and was well involved in the social scene at the club. Albrighton said he’d jump at an opportunity to get involved with the club again and thought he gave an interesting answer to the ‘if you could play one game again’ question - the FA Cup final but at a full Wembley. Overall, it was just nice to hear and see the dynamic between them all. They’ve got their 2026 Reunion WhatsApp group and sounds like they’re all still relatively well in touch (including Mahrez and Kante). They also clearly have huge affection for the club and feel that the culture has gone awry and they could help fix that. But, yes, the auction was a bit annoying. Especially given the proceeds weren’t going to any good cause as far as I’m aware and might have just been lining the pockets of the guy who put the night on? -

I asked this question (whether the club considered a full rebuild on the same site) in the online Q&A the club did and Whelan almost scoffed at it. It had not been a consideration discussed at all. The reality is that the concourses, turnstiles, safe-standing provisions and hospitality are also not fit for what modem stadia are offering to allow for smooth digital entry, better in-game atmosphere and getting fans to stay for longer at the stadium (either post-match or pre-match). The expansion is only really improving the outside area next to the stadium and the facilities in just one of four stands - and the one that is not going to have any material impact on atmosphere. For me, my bigger hope than this expansion going ahead is that we get a takeover with an ambitious owner that really wants to go further than the current plans and takes it on several notches rather than just delivering what’s there already. When you look at what other clubs are doing at the top level, it feels like we’re hitting another generation of stadium design, just like when the bowl stadiums became a thing. We risk getting left behind in a major way.

On that pitch last night… Players who have sat in the stand because they’ve fallen out with a manager previously: Vestergaard Winks Players who have clearly wanted away from the club or asked for a move: Soumare Faes Daka Players who are ageing and came here for one final payday: Decordova-Reid Ayew Players who are on loan and have no long-term tie to the club: Carranza James Ramsey That’s 10/16 who haven’t wanted/don’t want to be here, only want to be here for the money, or have no real skin in the game to be here long-term. You just cannot expect to get anywhere with that in a league where grit and determination is 50% of what makes you successful. I’m not having a go at the loan players at all, but what I am saying is that usually you’d be dropping a couple of them into a side that is committed to building something and you can bring them along for either part of, or the whole, ride. The clean slate that Cifuentes has provided to many of the above is what will cost him dear if he continues on this path.

This guy’s got away with murder for a lot of our fanbase. Yeah he’s neat and tidy in possession but he doesn’t want to be at our club. He’s disrespected us as a fan base and a couple of his managers. If you just turn a blind eye to that and welcome him back with open arms then you get someone you cannot rely on. A leopard does not change its spots. His lack of tracking a runner for that goal last night is appalling.
