Quorn 1 - 0 Bishops Stortford It was suggested at the start of the season, that 50 points would be enough to guarantee another season at Step 3. It was also suggested that this would be a tough ask for such a small club. Lots of online pundits experienced at Step 3 agreed that avoiding relegation would be a tough ask. An 88th minute goal from Top Scorer Zak Goodson was enough to secure Quorn the win and reach 50 points in the middle of February. A stunning achievement.

We don’t want him. He wouldn’t get in over Deen Master anyway

Hahahahaha wow

Come Quorn

Would argue that there’s been lower points / era’s Pleat / McLintock / Holloway etc but we weren’t both in the financial or prestige position we were post Premier League Title. Thats what makes this worse.

Quorn 3 - 4 Spalding I try not to get that deep when it comes to Non-League. Ultimately, it’s time spent with my Dad watching Football together like we first did in 1981 when I was 6. However this really sucks. And the sad thing is, you knew it was going to happen. Incredible game for the neutral. Football the winner. As well as Spalding. Champions of Step 4 elect?

A very decent start IMO. Great team goal. And then nothing.

Sheff Utd 3-1 LCFC, post match thread

A horrid watch. Truly pitiful. It stopped being offensive weeks ago. Now it’s just like watching a wounded animal that needs to be put out its misery and fast. -
Quorn 3 - 2 Redditch Quorn’s unreal start to life at Step 3 continues with yet another 3 points to go alongside Saturday’s win against Needham Market, a Step 2 team last season. A frantic first half saw 5 goals in the opening 22 minutes. Redditch taking the lead on 4 minutes an outstanding finish from a Wolves u21 Loanee. Ten Minutes later a well worked goal saw Leicester Lad and former Wigan Athletic Youth player Finn o’Boyle grab an equaliser only for Redditch to restore the lead a minute later from a Corner. A Penalty to Quorn 2 minutes later dispatched by Manager Beswick brings the sides level. O’Boyle again with a shot off the bar followed up by the head of Colbourne sees Quorn take a 3-2 lead. Second half Quorn go more defensive but effective keeper Harrison not having too much to deal with. 40 points already in early December. An unreal effort. 10 points left to meet the managers safety target. Madness

Quorn 3 - 1 St Ives Town A great 3 points to end a horror show of a month with regard to the sheer amount of gams and the quality of opposition. Quorn missing key players in midfield and a late withdrawal from an unwell Billy Kee. This didn’t show with the home team going two up from Digie & Colbourne finding the net respectively. An immediate reply from St Ives and a tasty tunnel dust up at HT got both teams coming out firing for the second half played at a fast tempo. With both sides not really creating anything golden, it was left to an overhead kick from CB, Luke Cox to take Quorn 3-1 and three points. Great team effort and incredible as it sounds given the current play off position, Quorn’s focus will be 50 points and relegation safety

Bishops Stortford 3 - 4 Quorn I wasn’t there but my god this Quorn side is something else. Behind three times in the game only to come back level each time then eventually go onto win the game with another Quorn speciality late goal. Double home header v Kettering & Harborough respectively to follow. The good times are flowing at the Stotto.
