That bit of play from Vardy was shocking. So slow and weak. Managed to turn a great attacking situation into a backs to the wall defensive one.
-
That's very odd. They told me they were looking into fixing it. It still seems far too high and in that case, they'll have to make sure that clubs get much bigger budgets to compensate. Seems strange that the contract would be written so you have a relegation wage drop and then a conditional wage rise if you're promoted again after being relegated. Guess my usual wheeling and dealing will be in full force this year then!

If only you'd waited, I'm sure you could have sold them for a combined £60m to Saudi Arabia

Seen a few people right up there in the first season or 2 with unexpected clubs. Was hoping it might be a bit harder rather than easier. Not to belittle your achievements though! Think Iversen actually has better potential atm. Not sure how much they will update ability and potential on proper launch next week
-
So quite a modest transfer budget really (though the squad is already strong). I'm guessing that wage budget will be sorted when they fix the stupid clauses
-
What's the budget like for Leicester when you get promoted? Should be pretty big given the money left over from this year.

I'd be surprised if it's too much of a leap GPU wise. It will be to get good graphics but they'll know that a massive portion of their player base plays on laptops or old machines so won't want to alienate people too much.

When he first came into Spurs' team he looked like he could go to the very top. Not panned out that way for him but hopefully a steady home will see him realise some of the potential. Granted him wasn't an exciting signing but it's crazy people thought he wouldn't be fantastic at this level. Keep the confidence and he'll be great in the Prem again.

EFL Officiating Abomination Journal 23/24

They were pathetic. Accepted it would be a red and then cried about it when the ref eventually came to the decision. I think good refereeing in the end to give 2 yellows. Normally they'd bottle it. -
One criticism of Maresca is that he's very conservative with subs. How have Mavididi and Vardy survived for so long. Been awful (out of many)
-
Vardy has been hopeless albeit isolated. Just Iheanacho as a straight swap
-
Vardy been a waste of space too. To be fair, nobody has played well so far.
-
Sounds pretty decent. Unless you're watching a Leicester based stream in which case it was silent.
-
Jeez this is ridiculously sloppy
-
Not on follow so not an option unfortunately
-
This Leicester stream is mega annoying because the commentary is a few seconds ahead

There used to be a place called Reddit Soccer Streams many moons ago. But of course that doesn't exist anymore...

Everything Maresca is doing is spot on so long may it continue. The real test for whether he'll be a good manager or a great one will come down to his flexibility and ego. The Justin/Ricardo move on Tuesday was a smart idea and certainly worked in terms of negating Clarke. Problem was, it meant that Roberts had a ridiculous amount of room and you can't really afford to so that against better teams. Switching to a flat back 4, even for 15-20 mins would have really dried up what they had in attack. He's going to have to break away from the reliance on the current system next season if he wants to be as successful as he can be. The fact that he doesn't mind going long sometimes shows you that he is prepared to do so but will be interesting to see. We're looking a much better team than Burnley were last year but look at how they are struggling after steamrolling the league last year. For his many flaws, Rodgers arrogance with tactics was what cost him. Didn't mix it up when needed and then when a subtle tweak was needed, he tried a completely different system as though only his tactical genius could win the game. Even Pep has thrown away a CL final but trying to be too smart. Enzo is being consistent in system which is great but I hope he will also realise it's not the only way to be successful and that sometimes trying to play a certain way, that is so reliant on complex patterns, doesn't compare to simplifying things. (Realise this last paragraph sounds a bit contradictory but basically there's some balance to be found in your principles/ability as a manager)

Definitely think a box to box role is his game. He's bloody quick for a centre mid, great engine and reasonably physical. Hard to judge too much off last season but when compared with his first season, he been moved from a more box to box role to an attacking one and I think it limited his impact. As you and others say, it's his final ball, decision making that can let him down (and the one footedness, though the pace and agility compensate for that). Still, it's been markedly improved this year.
-
You think that's bad, check out the Alexander penalty for Gillingham Vs Swindon. Genuinely one of the most pathetic pens I've ever seen. About 1.37
-
Desperately need to go to a flat back 4 here. So much space for Roberts
-
That was a quality save by the keeper from Iheanacho. And the fact is he made a quality connection with what required really good technique. But of course, it's Iheanacho so he can do no good in some people's eyes.
-
Feels ridiculous to want this team to slow things down in possession but it's definitely needed. Iheanacho's been playing well just getting frustrated by being man-handled. Calm him down at half time and he's got a goal/assist in him plus he'll help with controlling the possession a lot more than Vards.

2 keepers is sinful. Why not stick a youngster on the bench for the exposure? Better than a keeper wasting a spot, even moreso when one of them is Danny Ward
-
Spot on and that's why an immediate return is essential despite what some people said. For clubs like Everton, it'd probably do them good to get relegated as it forces a complete reset and actually allows them to tap into their potential. But for us, we got relegated out of nowhere (I don't mean the signs that were obviously there and how we were trending but more how established we were) from Europe and the undisputed best of the rest so there's still a lot of that reputation and good intact. It means you have the springboard to quickly catch up the others like Villa, West Ham, Brighton etc and overtake them if done right. Global following is more important than ever before and if we had a competent commercial team, we'd have cashed in on that. Social media followings bigger than all those clubs (at least it was during the summer) so that's a lot of potential money and brand exposure sitting there waiting for us. Fail to get promoted and we're just right back in the rat race with all the other teams if we did eventually get back.
