  1. Vestergaard twice given it away very cheaply
  2. In terms of how he plays? He's actually got really good potential
  3. It absolutely *could* make a difference more than any other player. And that's not a reflection on Vestergaard's ability who's decent at this level (though had many poor games this year), but more what picking forces you to do tactically: - We have to sit so much deeper defensively, inviting pressure and denying the chance to press - Our pace of play is slowed down considerably because whilst he has a great range of passing, he does not move the ball quickly, nor can he get the team up the pitch - He's often doing the same role as Winks which means we then remove yet another player from the opposition half in the build up, nullifying our impotent attack even more. Even the way Nelson played was massively different because he was not able to ping the ball like he can as that's Vestergaard's role. It's such basic analysis
  4. Assuming the aren't was a typo. Even so, how does a 'genuine match going fan' mean somebody is not a happy clapper. Would be quite the opposite at the moment given the number of people on here that are refusing to go, buy things from the club etc.
  5. Saw him in his training kit last night so would suggest he's not a million miles away from being back. Him and Nelson would be great, just a shame it won't matter when we have nothing going forward.
  6. This is a club that turned down good money for players like Iversen, only to freeze him out for 2 years. We're more than capable of doing something like this.
  7. Played so far within himself and still a very steady display. He's our best defender, I think it's pretty obvious.
  8. Hahaha. Summed up by Hamza passing the ball backwards in the 98th minute
  9. He's like Beckenbauer don't you know
  10. Stupid more like. What an earth was he hoping to achieve with that?!
  11. Pahaha. So lucky. Hand/arm looked way outside the area
  12. Probably a lot quicker in a straight foot race but in terms of being up to th pace of the game, he looks so far off it, it's scary
  13. Is this commentator deliberately butchering the pronunciation of all our players
  14. Vestergaard, Ayew and Thomas all displaying their great qualities in the space of a few mins
  15. Probably already been shared but the quotes in this article from Dorsett are absolutely staggering, even if he's trying to be a good boy. How can you have somebody reporting on the club who is so far out of touch? https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13463211/leicester-city-no-jamie-vardy-replacement-struggling-for-wins-off-field-issues-have-led-to-poor-start
  16. Thing is, it's not even like he's been over hyped. He was excellent in this league for a weaker team, a team that would have tested more facets of his game as well. Plus I cannot think of another centre back who's been talked about for us when they were 16 coming through the ranks. Linked with all the big boys then, and again this summer to Chelsea and others. Not saying he's the second coming of Bobby Moore, but I think it shows that this is a lad that has consistently been highly regarded. If he does play (doubt it), he needs to be given a run of games even if he has some absolute stinkers.
  17. Had to laugh at the last statement. Half of this place absolutely ripped him to shreds for that Huddersfield performance or are suggesting those that have actually watched him are completely wrong and he's not ready for this level. Not to mention how much our academy products generally get pelters (rightly or wrongly)
  18. You spoke really well. Haven't listed to 606 for about 10 years so I was amazed that actually just let you talk for ages. Obviously they kind of deflected back to the manager and players underperforming which is expected, but the fact you were given the time to articulate some of the off field issues, it's a big thing for those listening. They don't get the rebuttal of careful what you wish for/you were champions etc. Good work.
  19. And it becomes a catalyst for further disquiet within the fanbase, then starts to spread to more passive elements.
  20. You think Murphy is a better player? It's funny that some of his perceived weaknesses were actually some of the best aspects of his game last time we were in this league. The fact that he could beat people on the outside and deliver a good cross with his right foot, on top of his generally excellent crossing ability are what elevated his potential. Currently he's just completely starved of options when he gets the ball. Opposition players double/even treble up on him yet none of his teammates make runs into that vacant space in other areas of the pitch. The amount of times you could see he had 1 option in the box was so depressing. His form has massively dipped but if we didn't have him, we'd be in the relegation places.
  21. Symptomatic of how the club have failed everyone. The fact we've basically been forced to play him because all the other options are crap but his heart is not in, is criminal. Not getting a replacement in or getting him out of the club is negligent (Top and co's favourite word based on their actions)
  22. But no noise for Soumare. Oh, right on cue he's cheered off the pitch
  23. Winks should never play for us again. The fact we've been forced to play him tells you how badly the club have let us all down
