  1. Hearing the Appleton identified him as a bad egg, he was given a chance and demonstrated a poor attitude. No longer in the plans.
  2. I once went to an enforced company picnic at which I was one of only two English speakers. There was enforced karaoke.
  3. The stony silence in a boardroom meeting when you've just told an unpalatable truth. The rain at a picnic nobody wanted to be at.
  4. Wonder if the Izzet t-shirt is going to spend two years demanding it be on sale in attempt to get away from the club.
  5. I should specify - premier league match. I imagine it happens in the J league regularly.
  6. Apologies if this has already been asked but - is this the first time two Japanese players have scored in the same match? Either on the same team or opposing?
  7. Remember the last manager we nabbed from these?
  8. Sasha Lenhart has resurfaced and is determined to prove his worth to the club in any means necessary.
  9. If we sell him to Chelsea I'll give up football and focus my efforts on supporting the local lawn bowls team. No way ANY club should surrender their entire midfield to one team for a few shekels. Losing Drinkwater was bad enough.
  10. Why did you capitalise all the players names? It looks ****ing stupid. Especially considering you left out James.
  11. I've been so negative on mahrez recently I feel like adding I LOVE to see him play for us. He really ought to remember that, though he may be frustrated, there are fans that adore him and that his legacy and memory are important to those who turn up to see him play. Moan in private, praise in public. I'm under no illusions that we're a footballing power house and the best he can do ; I don't want this confirmed to me in the national rags. Let me love you, Riyad, and let me believe the lie you love me back!
  12. That story just reads like a man, who lest we forget was 'happy to be here', bleating to get out.
  13. Ahhhaaaaaahaha
  14. Everything is a performance to him. Doesn't get the ball he wants? Throws his arms around and pulls faces so that it's shown on international TV that he's not happy. He's attempting to contrive some line of persona with little to back it up. 2 goals and 4 assists. In two and a bit seasons. Game time he damned. If he's going to act like a talented prima Donna then it might be wise to actually provide some substance.
  15. IIt's a criticism that has been continually been leveled at him, and with good reason. His attitude stinks. I wish some in our fan base would accept that and look past his (at this minute potential and not realised) talent. One bad egg can ruin an omlette.
  16. You're thinking a bit much into this.
  17. He's been royally messed around with this transfer to us. Both times we've tried, and eventually signed, him have been a shambles. I hope we give him a real chance. We have put his world cup place in question - it would be a shame not to see him get some chances to show what he's capable of.
  18. So we can't look at the raw facts which show he has had plenty of chances. Nor can we look at any game in which he would be required to work hard - IE the ones where at needed to do some work. We are, to judge how much he has been held back, only allowed to look at the games in which he's started and we've been playing well. But of course, you're completely objective. And he hasn't had any chance to succeed at all the poor, poor lad. He's been so hard done by it's almost criminal and I am surprised ALL he's doing is still constantly bitching to the media ; he is deserving of some retribution, premier league medal be damned. Christ almighty the blinkers are on with some folk. It's embarrassing the flak he gives in public and it shouldn't be encouraged. There are plenty of players who act professionally at our club and he isn't one of them. He's a good player but he shouldn't be immune from criticism.
  19. And that's been my point also. He expects to dislodge hard working players by spouting off on social media and our fans buy it. This is the problem with young players on fifty grand a week. He's so entitled it's unbelievable.
  20. Your subjective opinion is enough justification for yourself? Excellent logic, that.
  21. No. I don't really to be honest. But then again they're not spouting off in the press and social media criticising the club and whining.
  22. I've not 'hammered' him. Save your sensationalist hyperbole for Facebook. It's unprofessional and it's not the first time he's whinged publicly. The old adage 'praise in public and criticise in private' springs to mind. But I suppose morons like you enjoy seeing dummies spat, fingers pointed and the giddy thrill of being able to slate the past. The salient point I've made repeatedly is that he's a good player, potentially great. But he's unprofessional and petulant.
  23. 'held back for eighteen months' would suggest he felt like he ought be put into a team that has just won the league. I get that it people want to like him. But how many times can you say 'he's misunderstood...he doesn't mean it like that...he's just being candid.' His interviews are, at best, cold and, at worst, outright disrespectful towards the club.
