Blimey, I didn’t realise Seagrave was so impressive !
-
I thought Vesty had a good game, but just watched their 1st goal again and under no pressure he headed straight to Barclay, and with our midfielders being caught by surprise there was the space and time for the shot. Arrghhh .

Villa (Away) Saturday 4th Jan 3pm (Match Thread)

It’s not a gimmick though is it! For all we know ward might have been prime Peter Shilton in training and did everything right for Ruud and the coaches. Sorry, but that’s not how I remember some FTers at the time talking about EK and AF! -
Villa (Away) Saturday 4th Jan 3pm (Match Thread)

Makes me laugh that some of you lot on here don’t seem to take into account that Ruud has worked with the players all week and probably watched hours of recordings of how Villa play, and he has concluded the line up is the best he can put out to handle them. -
Just being pendantic- you said all Championship games. Probably his best for the club was the home win against Liverpool. I think he got motm? Weren’t we also weakened with injuries and expected to lose? Anyway he isn’t showing enough to be a modern prem midfielder. I can see why managers might think from training sessions he can do a job as a dcm , but it doesn’t work often enough in actual matches. Shame as I always want local lads to do well.

Liverpool at home when he had a blinder in defence?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
old koppite replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Of course, so we can assume he and the coaches would have said at halftime for them to be alert from the whistle, and in training delegated someone to organise the line for free kicks outside our box, but how can we blame him and the coaches when the second goal happens? They must have a delegated player (Vesty or Coady?)- whichever needs a rocket. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

How could Ruud and the coaching staff have expected, or be responsible for all the team switching off completely for their second goal? We started the second half brightly on the attack. We give a stupid free kick away on the edge of our box, everyone’s asleep and they get a gift goal, which no goalie could have stopped. -

Not the second goal though and probably most important of the game. What were we doing - everyone asleep- bet Ruud and the coaches were fuming. -
Apart from defend? Did you expect us to go toe to toe? Mads, Vesty and Coady have done well.
-
Like it-can’t we get the last bit in as well , like the Boney M song - but not the “she looks like …. “ words though! Plus maybe slow the first Ruud and gradually speed up, doing the same each repeat?
-
We’ll, what was it like in the ground?
-
Well Ruud has praised both of them, so sorry mate that beats your view !

You’re right. Yesterday their lot looked lean and were moving all the time, offering in space to receive the ball, but we looked laboured most of the time. -
The Baggies are at Sunderland tonight - wonder if the numbers watching a stream will be boosted ?
-
Has anyone suggested it could just have been a ex girlfriend , or ex boyfriend, of another Enzo , feeling a bit pissed up and sad about missing him ?
-
Please no. I can’t stand him. Too mardeh and has been.

See, the owners do read Foxestalk!

Boring

Nah, a 5’9 skilful midfielder with bags of tricks, outwitting big muscular 6 footers does it for me. Each to their own 😀

Ha ha !

4 on yellows- worth a bet on a red?

Yes, agree with you. Only watch the Citeh now , and that’s painful at the moment. I bet like me, you were predicting years back this would happen. Saturation and we’ve been spoilt by too many Christmases. As a poster has said, there were some crap and dull matches back in the 70s and 80s, but at least every team tried to win every game. Plus each team had players who tried to dribble or tried the trick of the time, and many teams had at least 1 skilful player with style and a bit of swagger.
