Well, Marc says it’s great preparation so that’s good enough for me! ( Yes I know it’ll be said “he’s got to say that” !). Now they’re there I’m looking to watching it on YouTube.
-
Ha ha, and another one! You’re a charmer. The irony is in my first post I was trying to be positive about the sarky comments about the welcome at the airport. As I subsequently posted, I don’t like the tour for the risk of injury and tiredness etc, but do understand the commercial reasoning. You manage to get in a dig at Top as well. May I suggest you’re the miserable one. Cheerio!
-
I meant in the community!
-
Ha, and there you go! That brilliant reasoned response of questioning another poster with a put down, and such a funny end comment- you should be looking for a job as a commercial director of a pro sports club and a comedian as well .
-
Disagree commercially. I don’t live in the county anymore, but get the impression that the club has been doing a lot locally for the last few years? Let’s hope that at least the trip away together will create a strong bond between the players , Enzo and the staff.
-
But we want to be bigger than Millwall, Sunderland et al don’t we? Or we become insular and stay in our little part of the East Midlands
-
But it’s necessary isn’t it? Other clubs do similar don’t they? I hate the idea for the risks involved re long distance travel, injuries etc, and prefer local friendlies in the U K , but I completely understand why Top/ the board have done it commercially.

God, some of us have that Leicester trait of miserable cynical sods! Maybe there could quite possibly be some Thais who live in Bangkok who are obsessed with the club and are very proud of its association with Thailand? ( There is a FB LCFC Thailand page, but some of you probably think it’s fake). Bloody hell, we want to be admired across the world for what we have achieved, and we want to experience success again and to do so at the highest level we must have some level of international exposure and fan base , but some of you want to take the mickey all the time.

And Declan Rice is worth £100 million plus add ons. Hmmm… it’s all gone mad

We agree on most points, but Grealish ( up to now) has proven to be the much better player. Sorry, that can’t be disputed. Admittedly, I don’t watch a lot of him , or other teams nowadays, only us, but my memory is that he is a good finisher. He would be very good in any system, in any team - didn’t he have a huge contribution in keeping a poor Villa team up? Anyway, I’ve just watched the video of Enzo at Seagrave, and on appearance alone I’m impressed- let’s hope he can persuade Harvey and our best players to stay, change the spirit and dynamics and get us straight back up.
-
I agree with most of your post, but laughed when you say Grealish is marginally a better player! Oh come off it. I don’t like Grealish, but no body can seriously believe he is a little bit better than our own Harvey. He is much much stronger on the ball (understandably with those legs), has lots more tricks, far better passer, can take no end of kicking, draws lots of fouls, stays in a game longer than Harvey, and has total belief in his own ability unlike HB. I want Harvey to stay, but despite his stats he has been very poor in too games last season.

Just catching up on his thread, and I agree with Stinky’s point that very few on here were predicting relegation at the start of this season. Those few who did ( I haven’t got time to go back through the threads) were ridiculed on here by some, or had insults thrown at them. I admit I thought it was mad to suggest we could get relegated. I put a small bet on before the first game that we’d finish top 6 ! ( Based on how comfortably we beat a championship side ). What do I know!
-
Ditto- and getting excited about pre season friendlies- we are saddos !
-
I still can’t get out of my head, that attempted “pass” by Wilf against the Villa. What sort of technique did he believe he was trying to pull off! It was like one of those crazy table tennis shots you try when you’re getting thrashed and start pissing about by attempting some ridiculous spin shot. A video should be used to show all 7 year olds how to never attempt to pass a ball.
-
2 very important saves in the second half ( but a scary fumble in the first!).
-
When I saw the flags etc as the players came out, I thought “ this is going to be a cauldron and our lot will roll over “, but for most the game they were quiet and you could hear us! So much for the passionate geordies and best fans in the country.
-
Incentive for them should be If they win they could rise 2 places in the table- worth a few million I think
-
But tbf their keeper had to stop the Vardy effort near the start of the game after the Barnes lay off, and the Barnes curler in the second half. Otherwise, I agree we didn’t do enough after 30 minutes and we collapsed after Faes cock up with the first goal. Far too easy for them.
-
Ha, genius take from you mate! So you elevate my reasoned points into let’s stand with other clubs’ morons! Yeah, good one. The Munich songs are equally as sick. Where did I say I ignored them? So, voice of reason, what was your take on the N A being sung to them?
-
I agree with most of your points, but not re National Anthem- why not sing it to them when they booed it during the coronation celebrations? It’s an inoffensive football ground micky take . I hope you’ll agree with me that equally moronic, and deeply hurtful to us are the helicopter gestures they were doing , and other clubs’ fans have done, and our town “being full of xxx” ( I don’t know if that one is still sung). 2 wrongs don’t make etc, but some Liverpool fans are not the nicest, most considerate and knowledgeable people either.
-
Fair enough- there are usually reasons behind an opinion. My opinion is that you were criticising our fans for what was surely banter ( and when we are guilty of far worse) , with the implication that our banter was embarrassing or insulting, and offended their fans , without you taking into account that they behaved in an equally and insensitive way towards us. Anyway, all done now and our beloved club is going down , bar a miracle.
-
Why? Did they sing the wrong words? Clearly pre planned to wind the scousers up after National tv reported them booing the N A during the coronation . We don’t sing it at other games so I don’t get why cringy. To hear that some of theirs we’re doing helicopters, pre or after our horrid chants, is acceptable though is it?

Leicester 0-3 Liverpool Post Match Thread

Yes, it could have been worse. BR wouldn’t have played Soy, we’d have been thrashed by MC, confidence completely shot, tippy tappy and no fight against Wolves so maybe scrapped a point, collapsed at Leeds so already relegated by now. Forest and WHU have shown fight and collective team spirit- we had stopped doing that under BR. I don’t want Smith, but it was all we could get. He was let down by the players against Fulham. -
It’s got to be because Smith relied on input from the back room staff , and his own belief that he thinks he could get a performance out of Wilf like 3 seasons ago,

I just hope we get the chance to see Captain Black gesticulating outside of his technical area, actually standing on the touch line or on the pitch, as YT plays some of those lovely straight to an opponent passes!
