I don’t see us beating either of them. For me, although the points tally does not reflect it, we are comfortably the worst team in the Prem sadly.
-
All strikers miss the odd chance (& yes he’s missed a few good chances this season) but even the best strikers in the league would struggle to create goal scoring chances with the dreadful service that he has to endure.
-
Even prime Vardy would struggle to score with the absolute dearth of creativity that we possess in midfield. Crikey, trying to get Ndidi or Soumare to pick out a slide pass inside the defender that he requires is just too much. He’s never been a player to individually beat 2-3 defenders or more with high levels of individual skill before scoring but we’ve currently got nobody capable of finding him with a half decent pass or cross (usually a cut back required). With the right service he’d still be capable of double figures in the Prem & significantly more in the Championship. He’s not the problem!
-
We’ve even reached the depths of rewording the chant to: ’Come back Maguire, come back Maguire W—e need you We’ve now got these two The mess is fu****king massive!’
-
Shame that this squad don’t possess this guy’s level of desire. Get well soon Nigel
-
Careful what you say, they visit the KP soon - we’re no better sadly.
-
He got a tune playing us twice so not much of a bloody tune to be fair.

On this weekend’s evidence, how do some people still believe that Saints & Ipswich are somehow worse than Cooper’s ‘team’? United beat us without a whimper and Liverpool would destroy us. We asked no questions of Chelsea. Thank Christ he’s gone - the squad is weak, signings have been poor (BEK looks potentially useful) but there’s no way he was keeping us up. It must have been horrendous for the players to go from Maresca’s attention to detail - I didn’t always appreciate his football but I appreciated the way he instilled his blueprint right from Week 1 - to Cooper’s seemingly laissez-faire approach. Praying for a progressive appointment (but fear that it won’t be!)
-
Fingers crossed that they have a young, progressive replacement lined up already - if they spend the next few weeks looking it will only underline the incompetence of the board. Anyway, great news at least - Cooper was awful.
-
Don’t delude yourself that we’re finishing where we currently are if Cooper remains in charge! You seem to be accepting of the club’s situation - as fans & ST holders, we shouldn’t be!
-
They gifted us 3 having been 2-0 up
-
If we keep Cooper for the whole of the season, I fancy even Saints will run us close as we are truly awful currently too. What was our actual game plan yesterday? Don’t press and defend deep? Bar a 5 minute spell late in the first half, we never required Chelsea to get out of 1st gear. It was utterly depressing to watch.
-
Southampton showing more intent in the first 5 minutes than we showed in 90 minutes yesterday. We never even tried to take 3 points yesterday - it was embarrassing! The table may not show it but our actual quality of play is the weakest in the league! Cooper needs to go (and quickly - wrong thread 🤣)
-
I think we’ll lose this match, which is going to confirm my suspicion that we’ll end up in the bottom 3 sadly. I’m firmly Cooper out irrespective of the result. Our 2 victories thus far have been somewhat fortunate IMO.

Which candidate could be considered to be the Beluga caviar option? All a bit pie n mash for me

April, May, June, July or August will do for me. I’m bored with his football and his one page coaching manual needs burning

Bye bye Enzo
-
That’s it Enzo - keep the shape, it’s been working a treat! The usual like for like subs. This chap’s got one way to play & one way only. It’s sad to watch
-
He’s done - legs have gone and the idea that we’d somehow turn him into a creative outlet is a joke. At his best he had an athletic presence as a disrupter, but take the athleticism out of his game (which he no longer has) & we are witnessing a very limited player indeed. He’s been a good servant but he needs to go now - he’s finished!
-
These are awful - we should still win but I’ve got zero confidence that we will
-
Faees is a bloody liability - so unreliable! Just bloody close him down for Christ’s sake

Millwall (A) - Post match 1-0

By ‘chances’ do you mean falling over in the box trying to con the referee? Barring Gnonto’s deflected shot they never looked in danger of scoring! We were dreadful but don’t kid yourself that Leeds were any better - they were awful too! -
Never get any tactical change from Enzo just a change of personnel as usual - sometimes the system needs changing!! We look cooked tonight
-
A complete lack of creativity from the midfield today - Hamza does not help in that role as he hasn’t got a creative pass/run in his repertoire. Dewsbury-Hall is far better in the left hand channel inside Mavadidi, rather than playing inside Fatawu, where every ball he runs on to sees him having to check back because it’s on his right side. A carbon copy of the Middlesborough defeat - caught out twice and then huff and puff, panic football with no clear game plan & no real clear cut chances created. We missed a massive opportunity today and there’s one thing for sure, you wouldn’t back this lot to succeed if the going gets really tough as there’s nobody on the pitch who appears capable of grabbing their teammates by the scruff of the neck & see them through when the situation goes against them. So disappointing!

Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

We lost because we failed to convert some very clear opportunities in the second half - it was nothing to do with being devoid of ideas. We actually played very well after halftime until the equaliser went in.
