Protest march vs Norwich - Sat 28th Feb 2026
Manwell Pablo replied to Dan's topic in Leicester City Forum
Plenty of things going for it though, very cheap for what's there, cost an absolute fraction to buy, the differing rules in Non League allowed them to do certain things a different way, their money was enough to get it this far and now they're running without needing the cash injections, been run well but they'd have struggled coming in here and doing a similar thing it's a completely different kettle of fish. Birmingham's probably a better example. Don't disagree that there is no reason we shouldn't, eventually, be able to find a suitable owner. -

Ryan Reynolds is nowhere near a billionaire mate they are getting towards the ceiling of where he can get them on revenue alone now. I think someone with his net worth would be deeply intimidated by taking a club the size of Leicester on Not to criticise the job he's done there of course he's done wonders there. -

Let's all be more Ben, this whole process will be a lot easier if we are all more Ben. -

This one will happen don't worry about that. Anyone who reads the forum regularly knows this one has been in the works for a few weeks. There's a reason this one has been pinned on the forum and Unity for Change have released a statement, I'll be the first to admit the various groups who want him gone need to unite more and we are working on that, it doesn't happen over night though we are mostly working people with jobs and families. -

You know as well as I do they're are certain limits that need to be kept to in order for this to have the intended impact, outside of that I am very happy this is starting to come together, if people don't make stupid suggestions I don't have to argue them. -

How do you mean, you're going to have to elaborate. I would encourage most protesting efforts just not that one. That statue should be left well alone. -

I have far more important things to discuss with him, He has his way of doing things I have mine, we all want the same thing and if some people can carry Cambodia flags at the protest for all care if that's what they want to do. There is a far, far cry from any of that and sticking one over the statue of Vichai, doing anything to that statue full stop is going to make all of us look fcking ridiculous, he has family members other than Top who don't deserve it, the legacy of the man himself doesn't deserve it, and if you can't appreciate that at least understand it's going to take the focus of the media off what we are trying to achieve and on to how moronic our attempts at protesting are. -

Fantastic example of exactly the kind of thing we do not want on the first page of this thread, Yes, press coverage for all the wrong reasons and the only people we will embarrass is ourselves. We can get press coverage without leveraging some political border dispute between nations that has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. Keep it contextual, and don't disrespect a deceased man who has had nothing to do with any of this.- 856 replies

Each to their own.... Leicester City belongs to all of us
Manwell Pablo replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
Do agree, I try to take this into account in all my interactions. That said this specific situation could end that for everyone if we don't have a club so it is important to try and get people to see that. Some people might call that an over reaction and maybe it is in our present state but if you take trajectory and the past into account it could well be a problem in the future. -
Bing Videos That game has a lot to answer for.

Realistic Managerial Replacements

I aint going to have a go at you because I like you. Just a few points, Top had a footballing position at the club that oversaw a lot of the Sven era including Mills and the various other over spending and Vichai "repositioned" (read sacked) him, that's the pattern I see here. But that is honestly like you've not seen what's been going on here for years and expecting a collection of people who have only driven this club downwards and expecting them to make any kind of progress. In terms of best case scenario's it's life in the Championship without any ambition, best case. It's a viewpoint like that makes me want us to go down if that what it takes to actually evidence the levels of miss management at this club. -

Why are you doing this to yourself? The permanent position needed to be filled weeks before we got one in in the summer, Was it like Mid July about 3 weeks before we started the season and Ruud had been gone since May? That is the levels of urgency we are dealing with here. -

The future is relegation and financial ruin or King power go mate. 2026,2027,2028, take your pick. Given the idiots never appoint the right man for the job anyway struggle to see peoples investment or interest in it. It'll be just another chapter in King Power fck ups. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM. -

Andy King has no right and is no position to kick off about anything to do with the running of the football club is he. He's an employee of the club. Would do absolutely nothing. Even if he could, I don't remember Andy King kicking off about anything, ever. -

Aye, I didn't say everyone thought that, some people clearly do though. -

I think people who believe a manager (any manager) is going "make us great again" or "turn it around" are going to be very disappointed, personally, who actually gets appointed is borderline insignificant to me. -
Ok lets, I'll start with 85% managers fault 15% players fault and in about 4 posts time, when that's something more realistic, and after we've both wasted our time we'll decide I'm right and we might be somewhere near the truth. ffs.
-
Oh there's a decent proportion of blame going his way, I mean even by your simple logic he is partly responsible for just deciding which 11 players were on the pitch at any point during that game and which ones capitulated. But there's loads of things he did wrong beyond that, the ethos was to defend the lead without attempting to at least give them something to think about at the other end, you can kill of large portions of any game by doing that and trying to hit areas with a pacy outlet and keep the ball in the corner, his changes were all reactionary to the ball hitting the back of our net and not considered, 2 and 3 minutes after in both cases, this isn't even non league level of panicking it's Sunday league management, and we did not make a single change in injury time which which is normally a great way to knock enough minutes off, interrupt a bit of momentum and to get out with a point and had he done that we may well have done that..... Don't get me wrong the players should have worked with all of this and got something out of the game and some of the goals are hilariously bad in terms of individual errors but you cannot absolve him of any blame

I'm starting to question whether Jesus Christ would be able to the same/better here to be quite honest but I guess he aint coming here either so we'll leave it at that. -

Far enough point - however I wouldn't really see having a slightly worse points per game than the best season they have had in 30 years, or a man who got most of his points in the Championship which is a completely incomparable matrix, being solid evidence he has done a bad job at Forest. -
Realistic Managerial Replacements
Manwell Pablo replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Relevant to him not improving Forest yes? Everton, nothing to do with it. We can look at points per games all day long, do you want to look at his predecessor? We aren't appointing him anyway, it's got nothing to do with him being the next Leicester manager as that is not going to happen however much we talk about it. But like I say you're still classifying failure as not meeting a points per game achieved in qualifying for Europe during the best season they've had in decades, and points gained in the Championship which is a completely incomparable matrix. -

Manwell Pablo replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well for one we weren't talking about Everton were we, you were saying he hasn't improved anything at Forest which is complete nonsense never mind wrong. I also don't know how you've calculated that but Nuno qualified for Europe and Cooper had them in the Championship so if that's taken into account, not exactly surprising. The fact they are 17th and looking back at West Ham (a situation they've funnily engineered themselves by giving them access to Nuno) with the squad they have is exactly why he's been sacked but then I think the club themselves need to get a bit real and look at what they've done themselves to disrupt the playing staff at that club and just be happy they got someone there who managed to dig them out of the bottom three in the first place. -
