If you look closely at enough most clubs will be doing something to avoid breaking rules, if it's legal it's legal. You follow the laws to the letter you'll be alright, Forest for example as you've bought up Palace, exactly the same boat as Palace, got around it, Palace even tried to do what they did but didn't do it in time, Forest play in the Europa League, Palace do not. Similar size clubs no bias on size. It is not having "fingers in pies" it is being a "majority shareholder" What Chelsea have done, letter of the PL's own laws, is legal, Manchester City on the other hand they feel have broken their rules, and they have a hearing in October and have been charged with 115 cases of financial irregularity. And it is interesting you are digging out a team with financial irregularities, for operating for 3 years, successfully, without facing a penalty, when at the time of writing you support a club, that has operated for nearly 3 years with financial irregularities, achieving promotion, so successfully, without as of yet, facing a penalty...... The PL have been after Man City the entire time so lets not pretend they aren't doing anything, these things sit with independent commissions and can take some time. If Manchester City get away with it, it'll be to do with the said independent commission, that has nothing to do with the football structure. I mean the rules are bollocks, like many financial rules in the world they are numerous loop holes and pretty much aren't worth the paper they are wrote on but if you are stupid enough not to navigate them properly (as Chelsea did) you will be charged, like Man City have, like we have. Lets not pretend the clubs size has anything to do with as if this was the case, Manchester City wouldn't have been charged, 115 times. I don't think Choudhurry is anything like one of our highest earners tbh, he's been bit part in the PL at best, and signed his new deal while we were in this league.....They were thinking about signing him and the wages didn't seem to be an issue and I don't think we were demanding a massive fee. The reason they didn't sign him is because Wilder left they've bought in Rubben Selles and adopted this ethos of artificially analysed players for less than a million each, I don't think they looked at anyone they had loan last season on a perm basis. It could be finances but I would say that says more about their finances than Choudhurry being unaffordable to most promotion chasing Championship teams. Unless someone knows something I don't.

Some of you laugh but if we get slapped with a hefty points deduction I wouldn't rule it out. I can't see it without one though. You'd of needed to finish in 11th to survive a 12 point deduction last year and I'd say that's far from a guarantee.

Sheffield United are not sensibly ran They've sacked a competent manager, They've shipped out three or four pretty solid players, fetched 22 odd million, and are trying to use AI to replace them for a pittance and that kind of approach is what leads to you getting smashed 4-1 at home by a team you beat 6-0 on aggerate over two legs a few months before. The one good thing about this league is we are not the only team in a mess.

Well yeah we aren't that good, it's all relative. And getting rid of the people I'd have out first, given we've got about 2 weeks, is the priority. I mean it's all irrelevant as the Muppets we have in charge wont do right by the club anyway. Yes, he has done so already. You don't need to win MOTM to put in a decent display, and he's not an attacking or creative player, not his role. Not as simple as that is it as we've clearly got plans for him and Wilder left Sheffield United. Much bigger wastes of space in our squad over him. He's not the biggest problem, has played a part in a promotion winning team here before and was well thought of at Sheffield United....No PL player IMO but put the right parts around him in the Championship and he'll do a job. Which is more than can be said for other members of the squad.

We're just not very good, and that's down to a lot of things starting at right at the top. I've seen nothing, albeit we are very early on, that suggests we are going to trouble the promotion race this season. Thinning the squad down needs to be done, we need more out than in although we must definitely do need to two or three quality additions in order to look anything like promotion material (Leadership is a good point but the tip of the iceberg and it's hard to just go out and by someone who is going to walk straight through the door and instantly provide that) and I have about as much faith in our setup delivering the players we need as Alan Sheehans defending (Sorry if you're reading again Al)

Can't blame him at his age you don't want to be wasting what little you have left seeing if this lot sort their shit out and even then I think he's been there and done it here at that level enough already. Tbf I don't think it's a bad thing personally he looks a bit shot to me struggles to get into games (whether that is just to do with the garbage around him rather than his age is anyone's guess, we will find that out next season) and it's the right time for everyone if he moves on. Unless we get a transfer embargo or course in which case we are in trouble.

What bearing on where someone comes from has anything to do with their ability, specifically as a centre forward as well in this case, as I presume you wouldn't have a problem with another outside forward like Mahrez. Or signing Mo Salah. 2. Akinibiyi is not African, he played for Nigeria (once, ****ing once) through his parents, he was born in Hackney, raised in London, product of the English footballing system, and has never played outside of England. He's about as Nigerian as Anthony Joshua.

Well the issue here is there's probably about 35 clubs our size or bigger who think that, and they can't all be in the PL. I don't have an issue being relegated really, given our history in the PL era it is pretty hard to argue that qualifying for Europe is a massive over achievement and being mid lower table in the Championship is underachieving, we've done plenty of both and have outlying seasons either side of that. However, what I do take issue with is the way the club is being run and the translation of that into the pitch this season, being relegated I can take, being relegated whilst being thoroughly humiliated every week, not scoring a goal at home in four months, after sacking a manager who had us at least competing (and this where I do struggle to feel for a lot of our fans as a lot of you asked for that for some reason) and the club being a complete joke is a lot less acceptable than simply being relegated.

Not going to be a problem is it, this lot couldn't catch Wolves if they had their games set back to zero kept the points we've got already and got to play another 38 games.

Don't think I've said anything to the contrary to that. Although the 100 Million is an odd comment that's hardly a huge, or even really significant amount of money for a team sitting 2nd/3rd. We are in a era where one player can cost that or the best part of it (and not a particularly good one at that COUGH HARRY MAGIURE) I mean ours was about 50-60 million nearly 10 years ago now and that was considered pathetically small and was littered with free transfers youth team players and players we had no right to get for the price we did when you consider what they turned into.

Realise this is going to go down like a lead balloon on here because ya know, football fans, but they've been every bit as Impressive as we were after 20 games when we won it. Think they have exactly the same amount of points as we had as well. Major difference is I don't see them taking the points against the likes of Chelsea Liverpool Man City and Spurs that we did (I wont say Arsenal for obvious reasons) in the second half of the season, and even if they do 81 aint going to be troubling Liverpool this season.

Nothing like a must win Liverpool at Anfield is not a must win for any team battling relegation, unless they pretty much have to mathmatically win it. We are going to lose, and lose by a lot of goals anything else would be a massive surprise. I mean I am not a fan of Danny Ward (predominantly because he's a bag of shit) but one mistake from Jakon here if his head goes this could be very very bad.

I didn't have time to sit there and list every Centre Back that is better than Maguire mate, tbf. I just said the first three that came to my head. They're both better than Maguire in my book.
