  1. Very probably because Hull, Millwall and the rest of them are getting stuck in playing a simple Draughts game while our lot are working out which complicated Chess Piece we can move. A common problem which so many modern day Coaches and Managers ram down our throats. It's just paralysis by analysis every week.
  2. Looks like he's run out of ideas already. Starting to blame the players won't make things better either. Simple fact is he's not getting the best out of this squad, however limited it might be.
  3. He should be grateful he didn't play in the Seventies.
  4. Another rinse and repeat performance that looks worryingly like a recurring theme, Tap the ball about aimlessly fat too often until the opposition has retreated in a footballing style that is fast going out of fashion. Lose possession. Get done on the break with defenders scattered to the four winds. Looks like too much time is spent attempting pretty passing patterns and not enough time on team shape.
  5. Was never convinced by his appointment in the first place but no point getting rid unless Top drops his fetish with tippy tappy football. As has been mentioned, he'd appoint Russell Martin as sure as night follows day.
  6. Can imagine that half time dressing room. All finger pointing between the players, nobody taking responsibility and Marti stood in front of a tactics board whittling on with nobody really listening.
  7. That first half performance had all the signs of a team that hasn't got a clue how to attack without a Chess Board in front of them. Not a clue of what sort of press they're employing. Not a clue regarding sensing danger when attacking. All the signs of a Manager that is close to losing control of these players, if he hasn't already.
  8. Where’s Sean Dyche when you need him?
  9. Shame the Club had to let James Justin go. He took a lot of unfair flak in my opinion and, Ricardo aside, was/is head and shoulders over any of the current full back options.
  10. You can moan about the tactics, but if a team gets outfought mentally and physically tactics then become almost irrelevant. This squad should be performing more consistently than it is. That second half was a disgrace. Marti needs to get this message into the players heads or make way for someone that will. Jury still out at the moment but he's lucky the opposition in this League is so average.
  11. Would expect a better showing from Carranza now that the Coaching Staff have had an extended period with him to work on patterns during the International Break. At least, that's how things are supposed to work ain't it?
  12. Anyone that whines like a cry baby over 5 seconds of kneeling is saying more about themselves than the players making their personal choice over something they want to do.
  13. Can't make Portsmouth game due to 7.45 kick off. Have one Fosse Club Hospitality ticket going free to any worthy supporter. By worthy I mean someone that has fallen on difficult times one way or another or not managed to get down the KP for a while. Would welcome suggestions from anyone on here that might know of someone that might benefit. Feel free to message.
  14. Few Mystic Meg's kicking around? Carranza has hardly been through the door five minutes and he's being written off. Keep your Lottery Numbers to yourselves.
  15. Xg is the most pointless and most unreliable statistic used today by people that give more credence to computers than to actually having played winning football.
  16. Need a Swingometer when having an opinion on Marti.
  17. You sum up modern football very well. However, Alex Ferguson, Shankly, Jose, Jock Stein, Cloughy and even Martin O'Neill and most of the greatest of all time would probably laugh into their pints of beer at xG being a substitute for the actually understanding how to win football games.
  18. At least she turned up for every game, home or away. More than can be said for Top and any of his family.
  19. Even Vardy struggled to perform to his maximum in this ridiculous lone striker system, so not shocked at all.
  20. The mask is slipping. He's looking like just another pound shop Pep that preaches keeping the ball is everything, even if you go nowhere with it. Wish we could turn the clock back to when the most important things were being better than the opposition in either box. Too many modern day Coaches have sucked the enjoyment out of football with their chess board tactics. Most of it is shite anyway.
  21. We are aligned (to use yet more modern Managerspeak). You just simply used different words than I did.
  22. I do include Enzo. Some of the most tedious football I’ve ever seen. Can’t take his achievement away though, despite having by far and away the best squad in the League. A win is a win as far as I’m concerned.
  23. Looks like we have another season of tippy tappy, go nowhere football to endure yet again. The times our keeper had numerous chances to get the ball forward differently or quicker when Wrexham had actually come out of their shell, but preferred to wait until they had all retreated into their own half again, was ridiculous. It's as if modern football Managers demand their teams only score by playing between the lines or not at all. Can't see the situation getting much better any time soon to be honest. It seems everyone in the Division has rumbled Marti already, and these types of Managers rarely change their "philosophies," just demand everyone "trust the process."
  24. Losing faith in this Gaffer. Tippy tappy, too clever by half death by a thousand cuts football. Wrexham had us in their pockets all night, waiting for the inevitable one pass too many. Just don't create serious chances with this system, style of players and choice of front four. Fckn awful performance.
