It’s the “modern” way. All the best teams through history build from the back or, if you can afford it, have defenders can deal with one on one situations. We are like so many other teams, trying to be a Man City Tribute Act.
-
Think he got the gig because he partially bought it. Cheap option again but expensive in the long run when the inevitable happens.

Send me the Lottery numbers for next week please Nostradamus.
-
Wasn’t Van Nistelrooy’s fault either then if that’s the basis for defending Cifuentes.
-
Buyers Remorse. Should have gone for Dyche but were too obsessed with this tippy tappy non effective rubbish.
-
Always remember the late, great Brian Clough's opinion on Trevor Brooking. "He floats like a butterfly.....and stings like one too". Just about sums up Leicester City under Cifuentes. Apologies to the youngsters that don't understand Old School.
-
I don't think we are, It's Cifuentes that is by asking the players to try Pep Ball.
-
Thought Cifuentes was the deal although not keen on his appointment. Think I was a bit hasty. This is just pound shop Pep MkII well past its sell by date.

Notice the Positivity Club is back in action

So much for Leicester having a deep squad. Some of those playing last night suggested otherwise. I'm giving Cifuentes support for the time being but if he thinks he can get that lot playing successful tippy tappy with the bulk of those playing last night, it's gonna be a long season. That is and was always the danger of Top pursuing this "modern" identity. Onwards and upwards. Preston will now be a very interesting game.

Think the manager had a blinder today. First half Wednesday had a back five and doubled up on our wingers and completely nullified their threat. The team then seemed to play through the middle where the space was and created a bit more. Second half, once he'd had time to tinker, it was one way traffic. Was hard work winning that but the Manager's input to that win should not be underestimated.

An hour up the motorway but soon to be an horrendous three hour train trip from Norfolk.
-
Just hope he doesn't go with Winks and Skipp together or I fear we'll just get run through in their area of responsibility. Needs Wilf in my opinion.
-
Not specifically Social Media but does anyone know if the £140 Foxes Hub Season Ticket covers all home AND away games?

Unless a new face comes in the Daka should be starting ahead of Ayew up top. Much more energetic. Good to see a Manager actually try to use him to his strength by getting behind the opposition defence as often as they can. It's down to him if he takes this opportunity as it's probably his last chance to cement his place.

Was like watching the Leicester City of last season. Bloody awful. Vestergaard, Winks and Ayew are just a waste of space given the energy of some of our youngsters. Think the Manager will have had his eyes opened with some of that lot.
-
Vestergaard extremely poor on their second goal too.
-
Have to admit being underwhelmed by his appointment but the speed he has got his feet under the table (with Andy King's good work) and created an identity so far is proving me totally wrong. Thought he'd be another Pep/Enzo clone but his style so far is far more direct and entertaining. The proof of the pudding is in the eating but it looks like he might just be right man at the right time.

Lost 2-1 but clearly the better side in my opinion. Got done with a couple of corners and physicality. Braybrooke, Wilson-Brown and Cover, amongst others, played the last 30 minutes. Pretty impressive to be honest and the Academy seem to be in good hands. -

Lived in Brackley for too long to remember myself. Only just remembered this was on when Banny reminded me. -

Haven't seen it advertised anywhere but the U21's are playing here at Brackley Town tonight, KO 7.45pm. 22nd July. Brackley Town v Leicester City U21s - PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY - Tuesday 22nd July 2025 - KO 7:45pm -
Pleasantly surprised. Hard to tell how good the opposition were but the comparisons with Maresca seemed well wide of the mark. Far more direct and looking for crosses at every opportunity.
