It is criminal that they play as inverted wingers and are unable to master the most obvious of shooting at goal, bringing the ball back from outside the far post. Fatawu has a habit of getting under the ball and sending it high, Mavididi just goes for pace and 2 of his goals have had a big amount of luck to give him the numbers. When those two sort themselves out, we will rip teams apart. I know Fatawu can do it, I just do not understand why he now gets under the ball when he shoots. Right at this moment I would rather have McAteer in his position, he makes things happen.

...it is also a big weakness for us!!! We do struggle with a press, even more frightening when we see Winks unable to exert the control that we need. Liverpool pressed us relentlessly and Sunderland was pretty effective as well, QPR exerted the same game tactically and we struggled. We are predictable in what we do, going long more often is due to not being press resistant as we were earlier, and all teams will now press us more.

...there is a possibility that bringing Daka on at the end if the game was an olive branch from Maresca!!! Perhaps he (Maresca) feels he can work with Daka and provide one on one coaching that you would think would not have been happening in training. If teams are willing to press and go man for man, our outlet could be going more direct and utilising pace. If Maresca can coach Daka to look at the game differently, receive the ball on the half turn in front of their defence, I think he would shine.

...Petermann and Rantala are experienced players who should bring composure to their teammates around them!!! It is essential that they maintain that level of professionalism and help to take the panic out of the players in the last third. We do tend to rush the push forward, releasing the ball before the support gets into the box. In the last game, we were attempting to release our Rightsided player who was hugging the line all night. She hasn't got the pace to outrun their defenders, and the pass needed to be so accurate that it would go out of play as she was so close to the touchline. We were constantly trying this as an out ball, it was never going to produce any success for us. Howard and Bott were solid on the night, Howard has always been a big asset to us mopping up at the back. Rose has a lot of international caps, but I fail to see any level of quality that she brings. I wonder if using Draper would be a good move, I have never seen her play, so not sure of what exactly she brings, but the word is that she has a lot of talent, and I suspect that looking at her, she has an old head on young shoulders.

...loss leaders, are perhaps maybe the way to go!!! Many are not convinced about the quality of what is on offer, but after taking in a game or two, there will be a sizeable uptake down the line. We cannot offer indefinite free tickets, but a month (possibly 2 games) where a Season Ticket Holder or Membership gets you in free then happy days. You can always make some money on food and drinks, with the fan store making a good trade.

...the overriding feeling is that this game is a done deal!!! What if the players have subconsciously adopted the same attitude? Once you start a game in a frame of mind, it is hard to dig yourself out of it, the resulting fix becomes overplaying and trying too hard. You only need a day where it just will not run for you, and there is nothing that can be done to stop the bus from running into a brick wall.
