  1. ...why are we not showing any respect to Ipswich!!! They have been the team of this league so far, reminds me of the championship winning team that we were when we were last in this league. This game against Leeds will be a big test and I feel it has come at the wrong time, but I feel Ipswich will be bigger.
  2. ...what he did say was that going to work for owners that "do not want you" (time stamp 53:48)!!!
  3. ...that will never happen, if the powers that be even thought about it for a second, you knew they would have learned nothing!!! OHL needs a manager who knows all about the Jupiler League, knows players as well as the having the right credentials to come in and command the club.
  4. ...are you watching Fatawu, Irakunda, younger than you are, you have the ability time to show it!!!
  5. ...you don't say....!!!
  6. ...just to be clear, we are talking about Tamari here!!! Not sure where the defending part comes in with this, he was always upfield thinking he was Mahrez. He was not limited by the way we played, he made poor decisions in games and was always looking to beat too many players for a great goal. As a free transfer, he appears to be working out quite well for Montpellier.
  7. ...he is not "dim", there is more than one way of measuring someone's intelligence!!! Someone who is "dim" does not make it this far in his field, there are a load of instructions and understanding of the game that many more talented players have failed to grasp and did not make it, but Drinkwater is not one of them.
  8. ...there is a disingenuous feel to him!!!
  9. ...I still believe after watching all of this video that he suffers from ADHD!!! His father appears to be someone who also has this mental approach to reality and it is not something you can switch on and off. There is a disconnect between his facial expression to what he is recanting, he sees things from his perspective only and seems to not have the ability to empathise and his needs and wants are paramount. Just watching this, I do not believe he knows who the real Danny Drinkwater is!!
  10. ...as he said, his heart wasn't in it!!! Interesting that he said he was looking to play where he felt valued, and that I suspect is more him looking for validation in or outside of the game. Something is missing in his life, and I suppose you would have to go back to his childhood to see what it is that has plagued him, where he now feels this way. Would it have been a good move to bring him back to the club while he developed his fitness, we have extended an outstretched arm to others, is it his attitude which prevented the club from doing the same? It would have been hard to see familiar faces, training alongside them, and knowing that you are not going to play, it would not have been good for him or to ask Maresca to babysit a professional who had lost his way.
  11. ...our system works the better the players we have playing it!!! There were players we wanted but did not come, such as McAtee, Archer (Sheff. Untd) Oscar Bobb, and strengthening the Left centre-back with a left-footed player would be a good thing. I am sure there is a lot of quality out there for us to pick up and reasonable prices. I have no idea who Burnley had on loan but failed to keep from last year. Loans can get you up but you have to rebuild whilst promoted, the flipside of loaned players.
  12. ...only just noticed the "handle" that he uses, does he see himself as a 10!!! I wonder if he played as an #8 he would be more prolific goal-wise? He is struggling to create chances and opportunities for himself and the team, where at least one instance in a game he would put in an effort that required a save from the keeper. His age is brought up as a reason not to expect a fully developed player, but addressing his play in the final third would improve him so much. It is the biggest increase in a player you can make, without having to breakdown his whole game. Demarai Gray just never kicked on, you would have thought that he would but he still does the same things that he has always done and wonders why he is not more successful. Some players just plateau, we can't sit back and hope he gets it, he needs to address this right now. getting into the position is the easy bit, irrespective of the piece of skill that got him there, the hard bit, is the lay-off to a colleague or the shot at goal, once he has made the opening for himself.
  13. ...they are not the same team now!!!
  14. ...well documented regarding Stringer's relationship with Pearson!!! Apparently, the "throat slash" action brought about a boycott by the players and Pearson which lasted a few years. They have made peace since and Stringer interviewed him not so long ago.
  15. ...it is somewhat overstated, but the argument is the same!!! I hate to disagree with your argument, but once you have served your prison term, you are not going to watch others getting off scot-free, due to technicalities.
  16. ...any enlightenment on what happened!!!
  17. ...also his legacy would have been tainted!!! Still will be one of our greatest ever managers, big gamble to come here and be sunk by an environment so toxic, I could see no one being able to pull us out again.
  18. ...more recent and no doubt still doing it now and more importantly, know that the powers that be are afraid to take them on!!!
  19. ...if you have put your house in order and abide by the rules governing the leagues, it is appropriate to condem other teams who seek to break the rules!!! If this was Manchester City bringing this action, then it would indeed be hypocrisy.
  20. ...we seemingly have little control of that eventuality, but he does seem to want the players to have a better interaction with the fans!!! He gets them to go and thank the away supporters and obviously sees this as part of being a good club ethos.
  21. ...mentally just as taxing as physically!!!
  22. ...can't see why not, his move to come here was a calculated decision!!! Studying under Maresca, probably with an eye to football management in the future.
  23. ...he wouldn't work in our setup!!! Too easily pressed and caught in possession, not the work-rate for a #8, struggles to get around the pitch and Maresca will see through him straight away.
  24. ...well it has all gone wrong 4 - 1 now to Anderlecht 52 minutes gone, either we are making them look good or they are that good!!! It's a good game to watch if you are neutral, they look exciting, we are still trying, and players are still putting in a shift but Anderlecht is a few steps above us.
  25. ...HT 2 - 1 Anderlecht, they (Anderlecht) have been very impressive going forward and OHL have been on the back foot since they opened the scoring!!! Both Anderlecht goals came from the same spot, the second one had a hint of offside, a player running in front of the keeper.
