  1. ...let's face it, we do not play in a way that negates his limitations, without pace around him to back him up he is a liability!!! Played wonderfully against Man. City, in a "low block" in the Premier League, with us camped on our 18-yard box, not much space for players to give him a footrace. This season we play with our backline in the opponent half of the pitch, we are aware of the matchup in isolating Vestergaard with a quick forward, but we have so far prevented that scenario from happening so far too many times this season, with promotion, we cannot be so open. Will we drop and play on the counter should we go up, it will be a big change to implement considering we would have spent a whole season playing a certain way. Coady is much the same, pace is not his friend, the back four will have a big change next season, is Maresca brave enough to keep them all together irrespective of what is clearly obvious to all.
  2. ...arrrgghh!!!
  3. ...that makes you wonder what exactly is Sevilla saying in that article!!! You are not going to activate an option unless the player proves to have met a certain standard. My interpretation therefore is that he has come good, I am not sure how else to interpret that article, if true.
  4. ...won't mention his name, it will only start an avalanche of puns, all over again!!!
  5. ...I do not eat samosas, there was no big bang, there was the Word......and the Word was Kaboom!!!
  6. ...we would have had quite a few by now, if we were not so poor in the final third!!! We butcher so many opportunities that we could have gone into top gear a long time ago. Our wingers are one of the reasons why we have not produced, their final ball is poor and on the break we do tend to select the wrong option. These set of players I believe is at 80% of their capabilities, the other 20% is the goals that we have left on the pitches, these set of players are playing at their best.
  7. ...games are being played at a gentle pace, but this lad looks so good!!! Plenty of awareness wins it and gives it to the creative players, not about him saying "Look what I can do." He seems to put the ball in front of his teammates and he is so accurate and composed in possession. Love the look of the Right Winger he uses a lot, as he has a great touch on the ball. So just him and Oscar Bobb and we are sorted. We will have a cover for Winks, a cover for the #8's and a capable forward all rolled into Oscar Bobb, what's not to like?
  8. ...yeah, Madivadua coming in!!!
  9. ...Maresca will have to be brave for this game, drop Winks and find someone adequate to play the role!!! The two wingers need to come out as well with possibly Akgun and Madivadua coming in. Sorry for KDH, but he has another 90 minutes to plough through but we do look a little weary and seeing out the last game could not have helped things much, lost our composure.
  10. ...not quite the same, we have 33 more games to go, and we had a very short space of time in comparison to be caught in two consecutive seasons with big leads!!!
  11. ...I never felt that he was good enough before he went off to Porto!!! His contract terminates in June next year with an option to buy, he will have to try and work his way back.
  12. ...missing those two chances, a man's go to do what a man's got to do, the consequence is....!!!
  13. ...that would have taken out the encouragement that Sunderland was getting at only 1-0 down!!! Their relentless press was them still being in the game till the last minute with a possibility for a point to be picked up. We get the 2 goal lead and the press from them would have dissipated.
  14. ...I think there will be a lot of changes for this one!!! We needed to get the points last night, we are not going to be as strong on Saturday.
  15. ...I bet he felt that he had something to prove coming here!!! Frustrating for him, to not get the move to come here and I felt that he was just what we needed to play on the right side. He ended up going abroad and I suspect disappointed with the game and it has taken him some time to get back. Good player, wanted him here but things do not always turn out how you wish, good luck to him.
  16. ...know the feeling, look at Mavididi and Fatawu, both prone to take swings at the ball when composure is needed!!!
  17. ...big balding guy, inquisitive, not very mobile!!!
  18. ...the Hull game would then take on a bigger significance!!! We would very likely to be talking about it for the next 20 years.
  19. ...Ricardo's mistake was an instance, and a free header from a set piece!!!
  20. I had to watch this game intermittently, as I was busy with family business!!! I missed the first two goals, managed to watch about another 10 minutes up to minute 39, then had to do something else and when I got back to the game it was minute 86 and I had missed the other 2 goals. I was looking forward to this to see how you would approach the game. I can see Eddy Vanhemel is your U21 coach, but the players seemed to have reacted well to his ideas. I cannot comment on the game, as I saw very little of it, but St.Truidense was coming off a couple of previous bad defeats and they are going through the wringer at the moment.
  21. ...our journey in this tier sets us up for the Premier league!!! All the answers we need to find will have been brought to life and we adjust when or if we go up. Adjustments are being made right now as our season wears on, right now we are not the team you are likely to see if promoted.
  22. ...JJ struggled just as much!!!
  23. ...he does wrap his foot around the ball and that should give him better control!!! The whip and pace may look good but are ineffective in how he implements them, he struggles due to his decision-making. If you can remember Ipswich under Burley in the Premier League, any balls played into the box were on the floor, you only needed one touch to move the ball around, keeping the ball on the floor takes away the 50/50 element, and you are still in possession. The amount of goals they scored in the last minute, just because they were brave enough to play the same way inside the box as they would outside the box.
  24. ...65 candidates, I do not know if this is good or bad!!! Just what the calibre of people applying for the post have previously achieved. I really hope we make the right call and back this manager. I wonder if someone in the Manchester City camp is looking for an opportunity.
  25. ...Swansea packed the midfield which then meant we had to go wide in order to attack them!!! Both wingers had their man on toast, but struggled to create the opening and assists that they should. Fatawu scored, it seemed as if he had blown the chance, he always wanted to hold on to the ball longer than he should, and the fact that he was going to ground was probably the reason why the ball stayed below the crossbar. Irrespective of his age he (Fatawu) has a problem with supplying an end product and is very much prone to send the ball high, wide and nowhere in the vicinity of the goal.
