The profile of players we are being linked with has changed drastically since Steve Cooper has been appointed and to be quite honest. I don’t ****ing like it. This is a piss poor signing, for his talent level we will be massively paying over the odds in wages and sign on fee, for the fact he’s domestic and already has premier league experience.
-
Looks like Cooper’s playing a back 3 with this signing.
-
It’s rare for Portuguese players to not be successful in the Premier League - even though we did get unlucky with Adrien Silva. He’s the profile of player you would imagine Coopef would want next to Winks in a double pivot. I’d be very happy if we came to us.
-
The sooner the “up their own arse 6” **** off and create a breakaway league where they play home games in the desert, the better. Yes the money in the English game would decrease but in all honesty the status quo isn’t sustainable anyway. I’d rather have a Premier League that was more competitive and wasn’t just a wank fest of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and the Manchester clubs.

He’s hardly gonna come out and say 3 of the lads made my life hell is he?

£35 million for KDH and £25 million for Broja plus Chalobah on loan would be sound business.
-
When you look at the depth of midfielders we have signed on for next season the Moder transfer makes sense to me. He’s definitely a talented player, with imposing size, if he can get over his injury problems he’s still got room for growth ability wise. It’s obvious there will be other midfield acquisitions because no one knows what will happen with Soumare and the below leaves you thread bare. I’d expect at least 1 or 2 more midfielders to come in. Winks Soumare KDH Hamza Braybrooke Raikhy
-
He won’t fit into Cooper’s preferred method of playing though Ric. Winks will be partnered with a technically sound but more defensively focused holding midfielder and we will play with a number 10. Realistically under Cooper we’re looking at either 4-2-3-1 or a 3-4-1-2/3-4-3. Not to mention Braybrooke will have a full pre-season and be ready to contribute to the first team this year.
-
£20 million plus add ons and Moder in return is a pretty good deal tbh for Kiernan.
-
Coalville have essentially folded there men’s teams and started again lower down the pyramid. Wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t fulfil that fixture now.
-
I heard through the grapevine that Kingy will be part of Cooper’s staff, would probably help with keeping the changing room on side with the transition period of losing essentially all the first team footballing staff from last season.

No thanks, it will stagnate Ben Nelson’s development.

What grinds my gears is we’ve had to hear mouth breathers slagging Enzo off last season despite doing a sterling job in one of the most competitive Championship seasons on record and yet now we’re told to back Cooper, who loves Nottingham and is about as inspiring as the Mrs telling you to get up for a big day of holiday shopping at the Trafford centre.
-
The difference in the efforts the club went to announcing Enzo in comparison to Cooper speaks volumes. This is what happens when you spread a man as inept as Jon Rudkin over your 2 football clubs and your horse racing business. Zero time spent on succession planning.
-
You can tell by the way the club have announced this that they aren’t sure. No “delighted to announce”, basic statement from Top as well. Car crash appointment.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

**** all. -
Part of the trog’s coaching staff? It couldn’t get much worse 🤣

Spend an entire season developing a style of play, manager leaves for pastures new. “We will bring in a manager who will continue the clubs progression and development”. Bring in a manager who doesn’t play a similar style to the previous manager and he absolutely loves Nottingham Forest. Leicester City ladies and gentlemen, what an absolute shit show. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A friend who still works in football, is saying it’s definitely Cooper because Potter missed the deadline to say yes or no. **** THIS SHIT.
-
**** THIS ****ING CLUB MAN.
-
If the club intend to charge £72 a game to watch a side managed by Steve Cooper. The big wigs all want taking out the back and getting done by firing squad.
-
Premier League clubs, including ours don’t want season ticket holders. I’d say within the next 10 years season tickets will be a thing of the past so they can charge full whack for everyone
-
Charging someone £72 to watch a league game of football in the stands is ****ing scandalous tbh.

First game of the season on a Monday night is disgusting.

Fàbregas will be a good manager I think, he was the type of player who you knew would be a natural, he helped get Como promoted last season and he knows the English game. I’d like him to be our manager at some point in the future.
