The player culture here stinks, almost to a man our starting XI are currently either aging to the point where we're their last payday, or players that were on loan at a higher level last season ( ) and will piss off again when we're relegated again. It's hideous.

I remember before Christmas someone, maybe Winks or someone equally as soft, saying that the group were looking up the table and not down, believing they were better than being coached in a pragmatic style etc etc. Well now we don't have much of an option other than looking up the table because there's not much below us.

I can say unequivocally that your first point isn't correct. You might not notice it from where you are but that doesn't mean it's right. Lad on the drum and those closest to him actively listen out for the odd time there something coming from other areas, and make a call on whether to swap to that or not depending on what's happening and how loud the song external to the section is being sung compared to what we're doing. In answer to your other point, it's usually because firstly, the lads have made a call that whatever we're singing, we're getting no backup from other areas of the ground, probably because we're losing or because there's nothing happening or the hundreds of other reasons that get rolled out. Secondly, it's easy to keep the same thing going for a couple of minutes, so that if something happens on the pitch and the other areas pipe up, there's a song already going that they can immediately latch on to, rather than something new having to be started.

Praying this is the end of the Pep era of football.
