Archie Collins is interesting. We’ve not seen Braybrooke in the deep lying role yet which may indicate RM doesn’t see him in that position. If that’s not the case then I would be surprised to see us add further there until someone leaves as we already have Skipp, Hamza and Braybrooke for that role.

His style of play intrigues me under RM system. I can’t tell if he will be class or whether it wouldn’t suit him at all. From what I seen of him, he appeared best with space in front of him to run onto, where he can use his movement skills and knack of beating the offside trap. We’re going to be playing a lot of low blocks this year, which I’m not sure if that nullifies him a bit? His brother passed this summer also in a tragic way for the family, so who knows what his mental state is right now. Awful story.

I’m glad someone understood the purpose of the post! height is a huge concern for me in this current squad. At left back I wouldn’t be shocked if RM is in Jayden Meghoma’s ear. Probably too good for this level but been given his Southampton debut under RM and also signed at rangers by him too. Potential loan. At right winger, Tudor Mendel-Idowu is so fun to watch. I think he would have a field day in a side like this. If you haven’t watched his highlights, do it! Unreal talent with the ball. Potential loan. just a couple of loan options!

Again, as stated at the bottom of the post, this is based on current squad. We can not replace people that are still here, build a shortlist sure but until they’re gone we are not signing anyone in those positions.
-
100% agree, my point was more towards we can’t be shopping there currently based on current squad. The squad was more what Is needed now, prior to player sales. Completely forgot about Woyo, however, I will add I think he’s a winger in RM mind.

Completely agree, set pieces especially are gonna be a huge downfall for us as things stand defensively. Very lightweight and small.

Summer 26 Transfer rumours 'X' and other Weak Links
Bluearmyfox28 replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
I wouldn’t be surprised if at least 4 players we bring in will be on loans, premier league club managers will want to see their own lads in pre-season. Loans will gain momentum in the next week or two. -
GK - Storlarczyk, Vietes, McCarthy. RB - Aluko, Hamza, Joseph. CB - Souttar, Nelson, Faes, Okoli, Wilson-Brown, Gray. LB - Thomas, New signing, Joseph. Holding Mid - Skipp, Hamza, Braybrooke. Attacking Mid - Chaplin, BDCR, Alves, Braybrooke, Page. RW - New signing, Alves, Carr ST - 2x new signing, Otchere LW - Mavididi, New signing, Alves. Gives you a good perspective of the areas they’ll be looking to recruit and the positions they’ll need to get rid of some players prior signing additional players. Not saying this is what I want but what we currently have / have space for.

Danny Ings (signing 1 year deal, John Percy.)
Bluearmyfox28 replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
I think this is gonna be an unspoken problem in midfield this season. Was looking at what realistic additions we could make if anyone left such as Archie Collins but it concerns me how weak we will be in the middle. -
Karlsbakk was absolutely class when I watched him. Profile to suit English football too. Supposed to want around £4m, think Stoke had a £3m bid rejected.
-
Genuinely very surprised a club didn’t try getting this done early doors to avoid competition, anything below £20m is a great deal for Fatawu. 37 goals and assists in 95 games is a very good return for that price range.
-
I’m conflicted on our financial situation, especially with Nixon saying we have a kitty of £10m and linked us to £5m offers. I usually don’t take Nixon serious at all but he’s been first on reporting a lot for us as of late.
-
Ibrahim Diabate is one to potentially watch, we was linked with him last year so the interest is there. Tobias Lauritsen would be perfect from a link up play perspective under RM. Johannes Eggestein is the one I think could be most realistic to tick all boxes. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Mason Burstow with an option to buy in the future.

Only reason why he didn’t make it on my list. I read somewhere they’re looking for close to double that fee. Would have been top if not!

Danny Ings (signing 1 year deal, John Percy.)

Completely disagree. -
How many out, before we start getting any in.
Bluearmyfox28 replied to MGLCFC's topic in Transfer Talk
In terms of spending cash, I would imagine they are trying to create some headroom with book value. Currently we roughly have the following still on the books: - Faes - £3m per year. - Souttar - £3m per year. - Okoli - £2.6m per year. - Kristensen - £3.4m per year. - Skipp - £4m per year. - Mavididi - £1.3m per year. - Fatawu - £3m per year. That total's around £20.3m currently on the books and we have raised around £14.5m profit through the sales of BEK and Monga. Obviously this is not including wages which I assume for most of these are huge for league one. -

I would take 7 goals from a second or third choice striker. -
Stephy Mavididi (loaned to Watford, official)
Bluearmyfox28 replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
Anything over £2.6m would be profit with his book value. -
Can see this ending up around £15m with a heavy sell on clause.
-
Oliver Skipp (loaned to Charlton, official)
Bluearmyfox28 replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
The only way to view Skipp the next few seasons is how can you make the financial hit less painful. Fully covering wages and a loan fee is the best we can probably hope for. -
As a back up goalkeeper, I don't mind it. Supposed to be a really good pro and leader in the dressing room, something you want in a back up goalie. I actually don't mind our signings so far as long as McCarthy and Ings are depth signings. It feels the toxic dressing room has finally been acknowledged and being replaced with good leaders to replace depth roles.
