I gave mine up, the only thing that was tempting me to keep it was the prospect of seeing the youngsters like Monga, Page, Evans, Aluko and Alves but now Marti or maybe more likely the board are hellbent on playing the useless 'senior' pro's except for Monga. Still i watch most games but hate the club right now. Hope i regret it in the future because that would mean we're no longer in this mess.

Legs are feeling it today, thankfully I've booked the day off work. Only my 2nd HM after last years and managed a 2:12:48 time which is a 5 minute improvement on last year and im delighted with that. Ill never be a speedy runner like some of you crazy mofos on here.

Another one to the injury list before the Leicester HM. Did a 10k yesterday morning and felt fine during, after an hour or so I had a bit of pain on my hip bone. Nothing too bad for a few hours and still managed to go driving range Last night and this morning I can barely walk without an intense stabbing pain on it, hopefully one of those things that miraculously goes away throughout the week!

Im not that quick anyway but training has really been hampered for the leicester HM, feeling really ill after running in hot weather, various health issues with the wife in the last month and now a tooth abscess has meant no run this weekend. Last year was my first and only half marathon and I was really happy with 2:17 (nothing special i know) this year ill be happy with around 2:30 i think. Hopefully it'll be more enjoyable though if im not pushing hard and lagging around near the back markers

Agreed. 2004 was our best chance. 2006 was touted as the golden generation but the football was so bland. Rooney was at his exciting best in 2004 and Owen was still a great goalscorer albeit not at his best, the midfield was a bit younger and fresher too. Unfortunately we had David James in goal
