Vardy better than Kane & Rooney ??
leicesterlad1989 replied to justfoxes's topic in Leicester City Forum
Who is better is up for the debate with the rest of the footballing community. Vardy is our GOAT. I wouldn't exchange him for anyone. There'll be lazy and uneducated comments about Vardy from the wider community - specifically around the way he plays and his finishing (Owen). We all know that over the years he's managed to adapt his game and his footballing ability is criminally under rated. Yes Rooney had amazing footballing ability and early in his career in particular he played with freedom unlike many players before himi. Yes Harry Kane is the all time England goalscorer and one of the best goal scorers this country has produced. Neither have what Vardy has though and it's difficult to even describe. -
This is where the comparison ends. Me putting a sign up in public wouldn't make a jot of difference. My previous comment said that this shows a lack of respect. But it's hardly a surprise. It was quite clear both from what the "rumours" stated and what we could see on the pitch that the players didn't buy into him.

Firstly, chill..it ain't that deep. Secondly, this isn't anything new. Footballers and specifically Leicester players have a Christmas piss up every season. A break away together could help rejuvenate the squad. I can speak for myself, when I'm worried about work, the last thing I want to do is carry on working out of hours. I take a break away and figure things out.
-
Some comments in this thread are wild. A team having their Christmas piss up shouldn't be a shock. The Enzo comments shock a lack of respect towards Cooper but is anyone surprised? Glad to see there's still a team bond there. Even if it's on the piss and not on the pitch.

I'd have sacked him after Villa at home. Left it far too late.
-
We've still got time to get relegated having sacked 3 managers in 1 season. I'm on board with these records..

Leicester 1 - Chelsea 2 Post match

I don't like this Prem football. What an awful advert for the game. Not so beautiful anymore. Constant stop start. Diving. Time wasting. Delaying corners. Could go on. We didn't deserve anything. We lack something in that final third and we are a Faes mistake from conceding each week. Not a good combination. -
Chelsea (H) 23rd November - Pre-match Thread

With Daka back, I can now see us losing 5 nil instead of 5-1. -
That's what Cooper has done to me mate, which is even more concerning. I just have no anger or frustration because I know we will be shit
-
Another "meh" performance. We've been fortunate to have gained 10 point being meh in every game. We are neither defensive nor attacking. We don't seem to have any patterns of play. Our full backs are a shambles. Get him gone.
-
United genuinely are poor, which really shows how bad we are. Our full backs are dreadful.
-
Not really saying much to be honest. Neither are good enough.

I'd be interested to know how many of those that were the fault of Justin were due to him being out of position or chasing back? Not that I expect you to re-watch again There can be no coincidence that Justin been asked to play the advanced fullback role in most of the games this season and most goals are then conceded down his side of the pitch. Yet, I always feel like he's dribbled past so easily and the defending for the first Forest goal (when he was left back), would suggest that it can't just be the positioning on the pitch. Sadly he still has the same weaknesses he had when he was at his "best." Unfortunately for him he has lost that explosiveness, despite being our quickest player so far this season. That was a key component to his excellent form pre injury.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official

What's the point of him? A mannequin would offer more. -
We could just have a manager who does the basics. His persistent use of Justin as this "attacking" lopsided fullback position leaves us exposed. Leave this wank inverted positions to the big boys. Let's just create a solid base. Let the attackers attack and defenders defend.
-
If this was true, which I'm sure it's not, how weak is Cooper then? Is he really the man to keep us up? Simply, he doesn't know his best team. He doesn't have a system that works. Get him gone.

Absolutely. Trying not to get my hopes up. Same person who told me this has got other things correct before. -

I've been told that Justin will move to LB. Ricardo back to Inverted RB. Winks & Ndidi in middle. Buonanotte as a 10/advanced midfielder. Mavididi and Fatawu on wings. Rest of team is the same as before. Person who told me could very well be wrong. He's not a Leicester fan (if that's worth anything). Time will tell. But this would please almost everyone if true. -

Heard the same thing mate. Along with both Mavididi and Fatawu on the wings... -
Im very much Cooper out. There's clearly fundamental issues with how we start games and how we setup. If he can address that, I think he can succeed. His stubbornness and safe style of football is hindering him. What I will say is his changes today were great. A big downside of him has been his poor changes or lack off. Today he got it spot on. Friday is massive.

People will still defend Cooper. We will eventually lose 2-1 or 3-2 I'm sure of it. "Always in the game" Get the **** gone.

Whilst we have Cooper in charge and operating with this "system" we need to get used to no Fatawu, sadly. -
Football in it's current version
leicesterlad1989 replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
I struggle with top flight football these days. Too many teams scared to lose. No enough mavericks in the game. Robotic footballers. All teams trying to implement the Pep way of playing, despite not having the players to do so. VAR. Hand ball laws. Expensive ticket prices. Players on extortionate wages. PSR. Champions League Changes. Too many European competitions. It's money, money, money. Now more than ever it's just a business. Fans feel alienated from their clubs. Very little connections between the club and fans these days due to foreign ownership. I genuinely get more enjoyment from watching my daughters under 12s team play. All that being said, I'll always love Leicester City. I've had a season ticket since 2008 and I dont foresee me giving it up. I just don't find the same level of enjoyment as a neutral that I once had. -
BDCR and Ayew have seemingly been signed to play in this stupid system that Cooper uses. I genuinely don't believe they are bad players. I think Ayew can be useful if used right. Ultimately either one of them playing (or both) prevents the likes of Fatawu, Bilal or Facundo getting a run in the team. It's all far too safe and boring.
