Chelsea 1-0 LCFC, post match thread

No point playing two upfront if we can't provide any service. -
No. Make noise in the stadium to voice your displeasure. Leave them alone in their spare time. It's really not that difficult. Also, why bother getting photos with these players in the first place?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

The issue isn't the transfer. It's the contracts offered that's the problem and the length of these deals at their ages. No resale value and we will be stuck with them until their contracts are up. Skipp deal also made no sense what so ever. We didn't need another midfielder. -

The result isn't surprising. Neither is the performance, sadly. These set of players are ****ing pathetic. I'd bomb them all out. -

The squad is shit. The gulf between the Prem and Championship is ever increasing. We beat QPR 6-2 (i think) in the cup. Using Maresca getting a tune out of the players isn't even comparable. I was firmly Cooper out but on reflection both him and RVN have been given a bad hand. The difference being is Cooper had a preseason and a possible hand in our signings. Any **** in charge would not keep this shower up -

In fairness to Ayew he created our best chance of the game. He was a constant outlet today out wide. Held the ball well and was good at winning the ball back. Was it necessary to take a "gamble" at nil nil? I thought BDR should have been taken off for Mavididi. -

Game changed once Ndidi went off. Winks was woeful. There was a sequence where he gave the ball away 3 times in about 10 seconds. Sums him up right now. Okoli was solid. MUST start next game. Cue the inevitable benching for Vestagaard. Worst United team in my lifetime and they still beat us. Shows where we are now. -

Some fans clapping the players off the pitch again. Mental. Absolutely mental.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
leicesterlad1989 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our approach to signings recently is what we are where we are. We are signing players to fill the squad rather than to challenge. If we need a squad filler, which BDR is, then we utilise youth. They'd surely offer more? Ref Mavididi - i think he's underperformed. I also think he's another symptom of this poor system. When there's two out and out wide men on the pitch, it stretches the game. Look at last season. If it wasn't him being doubled up on, it was Fatawu. -

He actually started the first two games of the season, so I don't buy into the fact he was signed just for cover. Cooper was bleating on about Premier league experience, after all. He also eye balled him for this "inverted" winger role. I'm unsure how many games, if any, that both Mavididi and Fatawu played together this season. So I'll be blaming Copper, recruitment and Rudkin for this one. He's not what we needed. Lack of funds or not. -

He's been shit with every partner he's had to be fair -
Cardiff and Birmingham wanted him in the summer on loan. Let's hope the club doesn't piss him about again.

Any other season, probably already down.

We can't even grind out a scrappy draw, let alone get a win. How can anyone believe there's a chance? I'm honestly not sure where out next point comes from. Back the lads? How about they earn their wages and actually ****ing run a bit more. Fight a bit more. Take some responsibility for their position instead of the empty comments post match - "we must do better." How about you show it you ****ing *****. -
I wanted Cooper gone. In hindsight it's clear that these players are shite. But why have we got a manager in who literally plays the same system as the previous? This inverted winger hasn't work all season. Wheres Ruuds mark on this team? Nothings changed.

I see them. Same people every week. It's like they are programmed to do it. -
Let's face it, none of us know the solution to this mess. Ruud doesn't either, clearly. Worryingly, I'm just resigned to defeat as I'm sure most are. I don't even care anymore and that's sad.

Awful. Defensively we are muck. But we have individuals who are thick as ****. Winks is the candidate today, taking over from Justin last week. -
Most players get dropped when out of form, giving them a chance to work their way back into contention. We've not had that luxury this season. I've gone from anger to genuine sadness with his decline. The bloke desperately needs time out of the team. A new RB is a must. Cue the inevitable CM signing..

The buck stops with whoever is in charge of recruitment for both managers and players, who i assume is Rudkin. Doesnt matter who is in charge. They are on a hiding to nothing. This summer we've signed Okoli (doesnt play). Skipp (doesn't play). BDR (doesn't play). Eduard (doesn't play). We employed a manager in Cooper who should have been nowhere near this club. Ruuds now expected to work miracles. We are shit. The club is run by *****. **** em. -
Man City post match thread - 0-2 loss
leicesterlad1989 replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
We completely blew it today. We wont play a worse team this season at KP. Off the ball they are worse than we are. It was like playing against mannequins when we had the ball. We just couldnt finish them off. If it wasn't Man City, there'd be a lot more negativity around this result, given their recent results. Certainly not all negative. Front 6 look good. Hamza a nice cameo at RB. Some changes needed at the back. Specifically fullback. -
The Wolves incident was infuriating. There's certainly been games where I've felt we've lacked effort. Last night wasn't down to a lack of effort in my opinion. We've been poor off the ball since game one this season. This is where my criticism of Cooper stems from. We aren't setup to press. We weren't suddenly going to start last night, whether we were 3-1 down or not. Especially against a team who are so good on the ball. First 43 minutes last night wasn't the nicest to watch but it was disciplined and frustrated Liverpool. Unfortunately we can't maintain those levels.

I think you've answered the question regarding the write off by fans with your responses regarding the players. Simply we aren't good enough. We were going to the best team in the country and possibly the best in Europe, off the back of a humiliating defeat at home. I don't think anyone realistically expected a sudden change in performance. What I will say, to counter your comments regarding our lack of shots or allowing them to keep the ball - how else were we supposed to set up? Look at the Spurs result and they have more quality than we do. Our game plan was to soak up and hit on the counter. Sadly we aren't good enough when we get the ball back. We wasted a few opportunities first half. Overall though, our plan worked first half. We just didn't see out the last couple of minutes. You also mentioned Everton above. Have you seen how they setup? Ultra defensive. Hit on counter or set pieces. Very similar to what we tried today but clearly more successful. Dyche is criticised by Everton fans and most of the media dont view him as a long term manager of the club due to his style.

That's down to the system we've spent most of this season operating. That's not to excuse some of his mistakes. Can't be a coincidence though. The blokes completely down on confidence but seemingly can't be replaced. A more confident JJ in a more balance team (a proper winger supporting him defensively) can perform better than this. For now he needs bombing out of the squad.
