The club has been rotten for a long time but to see this rapid decline unfold at lightening speed really takes some doing. Financial mismanagement, poor recruitment, support alienation and a culture within the club of seemingly no consequences has been a recipe for disaster. I try to find the positives but with a chairman who is clearly clueless and unwilling to let go, it doesn't look for the near future. That said, shame on those who have worn the shirt and let us down this season, at the end of the day the board doesn't take to the pitch.

Do the basics in this league and you’ll get somewhere. We’ve given the ball away cheaply, not marked on multiple set plays and made poor decisions in the final third. This is the foundation of football and it’s beggars belief that this lot are being paid to do this. I see better weekly in the Northern Premier League.

The other real problem is the lack of saleable playing assets, none of these players are likely to bring in big money through transfer fees. It's a struggle to see where the revenue comes from next season should relegation happen.

To think we went into administration years back with a debt of around £30 million and these figures dwarf that. Something is seriously wrong and I fear it could be catastrophic financially if we do drop.

Second best across the park. No urgency or craft to forage an opening. There’s no desire at all especially to defend - and I mean as a team, not just the back 4. The basics of finding a blue shirt with a pass even are a lot to ask of many members of this side. It’s actually an insult to think these players are taking home the money that they are. Well done to Norwich who played as a unit and did the right things in the right areas.
