  1. This is Yaya Toure's forgotten birthday cake territory...
  2. I think its the more implication he didn't actually want his son in the first place that's a bit hard to look past.
  3. Gutted to hear Carl Weathers has died. Loved his performances in the Rocky films and of course Happy Gilmore.
  4. A key difference for me having played just bog standard park football in France and Argentina is that their style is a “rest in possession” style. Meaning that you don’t have to go full throttle and direct all game as we would traditionally. Move the ball around, make the opposition work and slow the game down. This is what I see from Maresca and with a season as long as the one we have with as many games I think he’s doing the right thing. Some supporters have been spoiled in recent years and some obviously feel aggrieved at having to watch a rebuild in a division lower than they’re used to but that exactly what it is.
  5. Got my tickets for Sheff Wed at home. One minor gripe is that I’ve had to buy mine and my mates in the same transaction as it won’t let me purchase a single ticket next to another free seat.
  6. I’ve been on the bernabeu tour and two games at the Calderon. One of course being the Madrid derby. Incredible experience. Check out Rayo Vallecano if they are at home too, decent club.
  7. Needs to release the ball quicker and get his head up but looks a prospect.
  8. Congratulations on thai-ing the knot 👏🏻
  9. Game of two halves. Birmingham could easily have been out of sight first half had it not been for the excellent Stolarczyk. Turned it on in the second and really impressed with Albrighton in particular. Felt the young lads didn't do too badly overall especially second half. Choudhury still played like he was still on the sauce first half but picked up a little more second half. My little lad really enjoyed it and its safe to say he'll be back (especially if 3-0 wins have anything to do with taking him)
  10. Never mind, he'll get a job as a ref in this division. Just one that needs lifts to games...
  11. I’ll be there! First game for my little lad so I’m really excited! The wonders of general sale eh…
  12. Most probably Oasis around 1994-5.
  13. Would love Cannon to get off the mark today. Decent selection so let’s go! 🔥
  14. 1. Engelbert Humperdinck 2. Jimmy Tarbuck 3. Alan Mullery 4. Michael Fish 5. Eileen Derbyshire (Emily from corrie) Under 40: Tommy Lee Sparta
  15. Quorn today at home for Shepshed but expecting a competitive game off the back of a good win at Bedworth.
  16. This is mainly the reason I head to non-league now. Turn up, pay on the gate, job done. It's understandable to a degree especially while we were in our success period to have the membership scheme but there should always be an allocation of tickets, even a couple of hundred on general sale. If they can do it at events like Wimbledon tennis then they can surely do it here. Now we've been relegated the club should have used common sense instead of being greedy.
  17. Watched Leave The World Behind last night. Brilliant film until the end.
  18. We made around 11 signings I think that premier league season second only to Chelsea’s Abramovich funded 12. Adams did a great job with some really tough off field situations and tactically was fine for the championship but found out in the prem. With that squad in the championship 02-03 we were always coming back up with how poor that league was.
  19. Had a nice lunch at The Red Cow in LFE the other day, signature burger was superb.
  20. It’s sad that it’s come to this, as a panthers fan it’s hard to know if Petgrave meant to go as high up on Johnson as he did. Ice Hockey players armour protection covers the chest and shoulder area so potentially Petgrave has aimed for that to foul Johnson who would have a 1 v 1 with the netminder. Unfortunately he’s gone too high and caught the neck area. It’s a question now of does the electronic evidence post incident show any indication that this was a deliberate act.
  21. Don’t know if they are still there but the temporary traffic lights outside The Priory/Longcliffe Golf Club are a joke. Took me an hour to get from Forest Road to Shepshed as the second set of lights at the club were always blocked off when green by traffic backed up waiting at the red light at the crossroads.
  22. I had tickets to todays game and hope now that the money goes to the poor guys family. Ice Hockey can be a dangerous sport at times but this just came out of nowhere. Thoughts and prayers to Adams family and everyone at Panthers, a very sad day.
  23. It baffles me just how many people were shocked to hear of his problems with drugs and alcohol, in many ways he was more famous for that in his later years. Unforgettable as Chandler though and Friends was one of the great shows growing up. A really sad day.
  24. Some of these were arriving 10mins into the game. Imagine paying out for 65mins of football. Mad.
  25. With tonight’s ref anything was possible.
