We've hardly gone mental. We have sold a big player every year since the title aside from one summer of "going for it" (2021: daka, soumare, jannick for ~ £60m). Then major sales since then, hamstrung ourselves in 2022 and of course, major sales last summer. Are we really unsustainable, any more than the rest of the the teams in the Prem/Champ?

We'd have been better off spending some £££ summer 2022 and not getting relegated and taking the points hit, if (as it looks like) we'd be getting a penalty either way.

May 2022 we played Chelsea and it went to members. It was a Thursday night and not long after the Europe so uptake wasn't strong.

There was maybe 50 free at 2pm when I could buy in SU7/8 but couldn't actually put any into my basket. Hopefully some spares come back up later

Genuinely, this is winnable. A mostly reserve team looked decent against Bournemouth so our main team against a young Chelsea team with a bottle job manager is v doable.

And what is the source for individual player wages? Who's giving that info out? The answer is they're not and these figures are pure guesswork. There is no reliable public data for player-level wages. It amazes me how many people lap this stuff up - not worth anyone's time!
