Fulham v Leicester City - 24 Aug 15:00
Poznan34 replied to phoneticerror's topic in Ticket News and Travel
It looks like you need to buy a Fulham membership (£50) to buy a ticket anyway, I think? -
Looking for a spare for this, thanks.

Concerns about the direction of the club
Poznan34 replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Do we know who is deciding the style of football LCFC should play? If the answer is Cooper, that's a failing. Every well run club has style of play established before hiring the manager. So it can be stable across multiple managers (with a manager's lifespan being quite short). -
Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)

Wage data at a player level isn't worth the paper it's written on -
Awful news, far too young. From League One to the Champions League, a Leicester City legend.

Cut to Rudkin and Whelan being grilled on the finer details of PSR -
Client journalism It only touches the surface on anything negative. And is there anything new in that article? A lot of mindless filler on the recent history of LCFC, which most readers would already know, and some hand waving vagueness on criticisms, with lots of caveats thrown in. I did learn where he went to school, so that's something.

I want to see an academy player in the first team
Poznan34 replied to majaco's topic in Leicester City Forum
Nelson was picked again of Coady at times last season - he looks promising. And surely this is the season Braybrooke/Alves breakthrough after nasty injuries. I think our academy has done pretty well over, say, the last 5 years vs similar level clubs - we've had a fair few first-team regulars and Chilwell, Barnes, KDH were all sold for good money. The club should be laser focused on getting academy kids in the first team IMO. Our main differentiating factor vs similar clubs is our top notch training ground and massive catchment area. We should exploit that as much as we can. -
Doesn't score or assist. Bin

Concerns about the direction of the club

A quick google gives, in no particular order: Everton - Kevin Thelwell Norwich - Ben Knapper - Norwich previously had Stuart Webber, who was never off the TV (probably went too far tbh) Brighton - Dan Ashworth on prime time TV (now moved on to Newcastle) Spurs - Johan Lange Wolves - Matt Hobbs Brentford - Phil Giles - gives an interview after every window West Ham - Tim Steidten (albeit a joint interview with new manager) Aston Villa - Monchi Fulham - Tony Khan interview with fan podcast (can you see Rudkin going on BSLB?) Arsenal - Edu Brighton - David Weir on a 40 min club podcast on new manager - forty minutes! Meanwhile...if you google "Jon Rudkin interview Leicester", the first interview is a reaction to an FA Youth Cup quarter final win from nine years ago. No interviews for 10 years is fine when we are doing well but he's been in charge for the worst relegation in Premier League history - people are right to question him. A bit of info on the general plan from the man running the club day-to-day would be a good step to rebuilding the relationship with the fans. Sidenote: Not a DoF, but one of the best football club comms imo is the Plymouth Chairman, who does regular interviews: E.g. Launching a five year plan with actual detail about how they were planning to run the club - can you imagine? A 20 min interview upon latest managerial appointment, going into great detail on the recruitment process -
£50m ish spent by them already whilst we are scraping our pennies together for free transfers...

This is a club that loses £50m+ on the regular. An extra £2m from cryptoscam.org vs. a regular sponsor won't make a difference. It's the 3rd GK wages for a year. No material difference to club finances But we know all the club has sold itself out. Just another chip away at the soul of the club.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

I hate this. All to comply with some figure the Prem pulled out of thin air a decade ago. So bleak. -
Selling our homegrown midfield engine for some no mark Brighton player. Honestly, what's the point? What message does that send to everyone connected with the club? We're finished.
