  1. Coady is on way too much money for our current financial predicament. I would say moving him should be one of our top priorities this summer.
  2. Rosenior also signed a new contact last month.
  3. Although it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the club were completely unaware of Rosenior’s situation and still had him on some shortlist.
  4. Dorsett has either just made that up or is being fed some PR feelers from the club. Rosenior is not in the current picture.
  5. Same. Looks like this is really happening.
  6. Several shareholders have recently written off significant debts owed by their clubs as that debt is factored into PSR calculations.
  7. Interesting that in his BSLB appearance, Guy Branston expressed a similar anpprehension and attitude about playing youngsters to that that our Board, given his closeness with Rudkin.
  8. Judging by their track record, I’d be shocked if they’ve made any sort of decision yet.
  9. That RvN seems so personally invested in Jeremy Monga and that contract situation makes me think he’s preparing to stay another season.
  10. It doesn’t need to be rephrased. We all know exactly what it means. And it doesn’t matter how cash rich an owner is, if he’s afoul of the PSR, his club is effectively poor.
  11. Scenario #1 occurs very often, sadly.
  12. Pack it in, boys. If Tier 76 Footy Insider mentioned a name, he’s as good as signed.
  13. The Vichai statue outside the stadium is a perfect microcosm of how the club is run. Anyone with a basic understanding of English would know that “The Possible Man” is an awkward phrase that doesn’t mean the message intended to be conveyed about Vichai. The club brass and suits aren’t there to help make decisions, advise and add expertise, they are there to rubber stamp decisions and say yes to what the owner wants.
  14. Big Day on social media for the Thai Culture Brigade, Relegation Lovers, and fans of Conor Coady’s and Odsonne Edouard’s salaries.
  15. Well, looks like thread will be useless for a few seasons…
  16. This is a bit naive. Someone needs to do the actual legwork; Top spends most of his time abroad. He also has a need for people to serve as de facto representatives of King Power, which is what our suits do.
  17. The decision to bring in Ruud is only one in a series of problems, not the problem. The players have been allowed and encouraged to live in la-la land for years. We went through the worst relegation in the league’s history two seasons ago. Everything didn’t magically improve under Enzo, we just played against much worse opposition that flattered our squad’s (and club’s) inflated egos.
  18. I do wonder if this is part of why we’re not seeing Evans or Monga. Probably good not to poison these young players by keeping them around the clowns on the first team.
  19. Let’s not forget the prior relegation.
  20. I hate to say this but if anyone still believes that after this season, I might just have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell.
  21. You’re a top professional, but even better husband and father! This guy really seems to think he’s Pirlo but the Premier League is so obviously beyond him. The whole culture at the club is so rotten. I’ve talked to former first team management who have told me it’s so much worse than any of us would believe and that managing these players is one of the toughest jobs in the game.
  22. FWIW, I agree that RvN has been awful. This is all part of a larger culture issue and incompetence at many levels of the club. Ruud will eventually move on, these players will think they’re the dog’s bollocks next season in the 2nd division playing against Oxford, and we’ll go through a repeat of the last two PL seasons whenever we manage to get promoted again.
  23. Because he was playing against much worse opposition that flattered him. He’s not good enough for this level and unwilling to accommodate some reasonable requests that might improve his game.
  24. The current culture at the club is completely different and so much more toxic than it was under Pearson. That was 10+ years ago.
