  1. Yeah, I’m not buying the style argument either. We had a lot of great attacking play in the first half and put a little hot sauce on plenty of tackles.
  2. To be fair, only the first sentence of my reply was directed at you, @Dan LCFC, the rest was just a bit of a rant about what I’m reading and hearing after the game.
  3. It’s a big chunk but we also score plenty of late goals. https://www.soccerstats.com/table.asp?league=england2&tid=j We’re the only side in the division to have a positive goal difference in every 10-minute segment. Tonight stunk, we had plenty of opportunities to kill the game but let it slip out of our hands. We’ve mismanaged and been unlucky late in a few games but we haven’t capitulated. There are so many fans who can’t let themselves be happy or enjoy anything anymore and need to make this more of an issue than it really is.
  4. Agreed. Far too many people conflating what’s gone on this season with what happened under Rodgers.
  5. It must be Enzo who killed the atmosphere that was already dead.
  6. I’m not counting Cov here because of the red card.
  7. We’ve seen out plenty of games this year. We’ve only blown late leads to Ipswich (twice off deflected goals) and Wednesday.
  8. Beraldo went to PSG, that’s like when a scout at Sunderland had Zlatan on his list of targets when they were in League One. It doesn’t appear that we’ve made progress expanding our scouting to South America.
  9. Best ever shirt. I have it in long sleeves but will never fit into it again. Sending it and a bunch of old shirts to a friend’s son, that shirt deserves to be worn!
  10. Did Maresca actually say that in response to what attributes he’s looking for? It sounded to me like he only spoke about Sensi when asked directly about the player but did not say anything confirming the player was a definitely target, as is being reported. But maybe I missed that exchange.
  11. It’s got something to do with The Kop and The Family Stand, I think.
  12. A small contingent from NYC will also be over for that game
  13. Enzo definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt with his early track record on transfers and how he’s handled players with a lengthy injury history. It’s also good that we’re not bringing in Sensi to an urgent situation where we’re completely reliant on him, we’ll be able to get him up to speed.
  14. Let’s isolate our Italian players who come to England and have this experience upon arriving.
  15. I want to see the Cov away end full of Italian flags.
  16. Stefano Sensi isn’t really a defensive midfielder, he likes to drive and pass the ball forward. Definitely an interesting one and we’ll see if Enzo has other ideas for him but I would think he’s being brought in if Praet and Soumare are in fact being sold so we can slot in a more natural player than Yunus into an advanced midfield role. Also adds some experience, which will be useful if we’re looking to see this season through.
  17. BOOM BOOM BOOM! LET ME HEAR YOU SAY WAYNA— MARÇAL! 😜
  18. He’s also said he likes Yunus, he clearly doesn’t think the full international is just a shit player. But, anyway, you and I have talked about Yunus enough for two lifetimes and this is taking away from your (justified) time to gloat about Casadei so let’s leave this one where it is.
  19. I think this is a pretty reasonable take that most fans should be on board with. Not our best player, not our worst. Good enough to slot in for games like yesterday’s at the moment, let’s see what the rest of the season brings.
  20. And Yunus has barely played in his.
  21. Fine. Let’s play Mavididi in that position and expect him to be our best player.
  22. It’s hard to expect anything more from a winger who’s changed countries and is having to play as a number 8 on the side of his weak foot. Still, two “pre-assists” yesterday.
  23. Keith Vaz sitting in the VIP seats; Mark Morrison on the Filbert Street pitch; DAD 50 vs. the Napoli ultras; Leo Ulloa hugging Filbert Fox
