“Thought we played well the first 15 minutes, then we sat back. It’s disappointing but we’ll get back to work on the training ground”… and all that horse dung.
-
Folding like the usual pack of cards. A heartless team.
-
I can only assume that Rowett likes having a bench with some realistic options, like Perreira. He may need to come on when Hamza gets an inevitable yellow in the first 10 minutes or sent off and if he does he has to take Mukasa off aswell.
-
Looking at the Saturday fixtures for our ovals, I think we have the easiest game based on current form, QPR have lost their last four. However, we all know that that with our team they’re the biggest deceivers. Absolutely imperative that Rowett gets a repeat good performance from them.
-
Baggies fans must be absolutely gutted, desperate given their recent results.
-
It was very similar to the Rogers sacking in 2023, wasted two winnable home games. The board/Top didn’t learn from that.
-
Oxford are doing their own great escape, three successive wins…
-
Imagine if the tribunal revises the six points to 12 despite our appeal. We’d be goosed.
-
I think 50 points plus will be needed to survive this season.
-
Clearly now concentrating on the cup, which is becoming a distraction. Not good for us.
-
Charlton working there way free. A superb result for them if they hold on.
-
The front four are all badly out of form and there are bombscares all over the back 5. We’re in a mess.
-
I think they saw the team sheet and turned back home. Jeez I don’t blame them.

I think we’re too stuck to this formation but we can’t play an alternative at this stage. We’re reliant on two wide attackers who have simply been very poor this season. I include Abdul who has been disappearing for many games and is an immature player despite his capabilities. I’d like to see Jordan James and Divine Mukasa in the team but we also need Skipp’s defensive support, and Winks passing particularly at home. We need patson to occupy their centre backs just by running around if nothing else. I’d drop Abdul and give the nod to Mavadidi despite his disappointing returns in the hope he can have an effective game. Id like to see Aluko at right back but suspect it’ll be Hamza or Ricardo.

4 loan players signed last month and none of them started. That is telling in my opinion.
-
I can only assume Rowett has looked at the next 7 days and thought keep the powder dry for the two home games. Unlikely we will get anything today given that team who have repeatedly failed over the last 2 seasons. Essentially the game is a write off.
-
Not many would stick around but Skipp maybe one, Nelson (possible captain) another and Hamza, Jakob and Luke Thomas I suspect remain. Then there’s the youngsters. Not many of this team would be bought given their depreciating value. Abdul would go for about £6-8m if we’re in Division 1 to help pay off some debt

Clearly the summer internal review of 2023 didn’t achieve anything; if it happened at all. What has been just announced should have been done back then as a minimum, 3 seasons ago. To do this series of announcements says they’ve been in a self induced coma for 36 months with the club about to be relegated for the third time in 4 seasons. And to cap it all the key architects of failure have been reincarnated into higher levels of responsibility. This is Hollyweird material.

Dunno but I was looking forward to his creation after that. I guess his gallery is emptying fast.

I have a bad feeling about this one, think we will lose our fourth successive home game where the flicker of hope from the last two games is dashed by appalling defensive errors. 0-3 Norwich all goals in first half like Sheffield Utd and Wolves home last season.
-
Can’t see Lascelles or James starting as they’ve only just come back. Will need them for remaining games for sure. Abdul in for Stephy, Bobby on the left side and Mukasa in the 10. Will have to be Daka at 9 to start. Rest of side the same but would like to see Aluko somewhere if possible.
-
Looking at the relegation candidates, I’d include Charlton, Blackburn, West Brom, us and Oxford. So two from five. I think Norwich are too good, even if we beat them on Saturday. That game really is a must win for us to get us near parity with the others.
-
When do you think we’ll concede the first goal?
-
You’d think we’d rather have skipp than Winks given one’s contracted to be around for 2-3 more seasons and the other walks away in May. However, desperate times need desperate measures so your plan could be best option.
-
He’ll, how did we miss those last minute chances? This side never ceases to disappoint us. A great chance of getting out of jail given most of our rivals bar Baggies have won or are winning. Fair play to Mukasa though, he was excellent and a cut above this level.
