If Sporting sell Gyokeres then they will have money to burn and European football to offer him. He is the perfect replacement for them. I hope we have a plan b, c, d and e.

We were linked with Bove recently. So there could be a deal to do there with Soumare.

Leicester have no plans to sell Dewsbury-Hall despite Brighton, Brentford interest Latest from Sky Sports news senior reporter Rob Dorsett... Leicester have no plans to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in this transfer window, despite interest from Brighton and Brentford. Currently, the fee that Brighton and Brentford are prepared to pay for the 25-year-old is way short of what Leicester would want. Sky Sports News has been told it would take a bid in excess of £40m to bring Leicester to the negotiating table, and the asking price is likely to be further increased because of their inability to replace him with a player of equal calibre so late in the window. Leicester have little flexibility in the current market to add to their squad and remain in line with Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR). It's likely they would have to sell a player in order to strengthen. However, Dewsbury-Hall is not someone they want to sell. He is regarded by manager Enzo Maresca as a key part of his promotion-chasing team. The player himself also needs to be convinced that changing clubs now would be a good career move, we are told. Only clubs competing higher up in the Premier League are likely to appeal to Dewsbury-Hall, with Leicester seven points clear at the top of the Championship and expecting an immediate return to the top division.

Pep Guardiola plans to sign Argentinian left back Valentin Barco for Manchester City - and send him on loan to his pal Enzo Maresca at Leicester City. Guardiola’s transfer team are closing on a deal for the superb Boca Juniors defender and are ahead of Brighton in the chase to bring him to the Premier League. However the Manchester City boss’s idea is to farm out Barco to old coaching sidekick Maresca once they sign him because they think he needs the experience. It could be a massive boost for Leicester as they push on for promotion if City can do the deal in January. But even if Barco is delayed until next season Guardiola is still keen to send him to the Leicester ‘finishing school’ before he uses him at the Etihad. Barco has a fixed fee of around £10 million but extra costs take the transfer worth up to £13 million. However Guardiola is keen to land the player who has shone at club level and was a stand out in the recent Copa Libertadores final. Brighton hoped to win the chase after making the first serious bid for Barco but even they now fear they only have a 25 per cent chance

PSV Away (Travel Plans) - Thursday 14th April

Been here all day, having caught the train back from the ground last night. I’ve worn my City scarf all day around town and if I had a euro for every time a passing Dutchman shouted ‘Leyshter, well done!’ It’d pay for a few more Heineken‘s. The Ajax fans very happy for us it seems! -

Unless both us and Norwich bomb out in the next round. Norwich will likely lose away at Wolves..
