I think that was mainly to try and organise his feet, must’ve been difficult for Dan to come into last seasons defence. So nervy and messy. Anyway onto Mads. First game I’ve seen him play on Sunday and you can tell he’s got that little bit about him. Slight concerns around his stature and aerial ability but overall really good. Encapsulates everything you want from a modern day keeper and can see him having a really good season here.

Well, not necessarily. There was a worry his head could’ve been ‘gone’ and trust me when a footballer is finished with the game, they’re finished, no matter how talented. However, super impressed with his attitude and general approach to the club.

Off the top of my head, 7-8 million on Wright, 3.5 rising to 8 on simms, 4mil on Van Ewijk. i know they’re getting a few quid for Viktor but not entirely a crap budget

I’ve also seen a lot of positivity from their fans which makes me realise how different our standards are. ‘If we play like that we’ll be right up there come end of the season’ etc type comments. They’ve come into today on the back of their best season for years, sat back and tried to hit us on the counter, been gifted a few chances by our shite defence and are buzzing with their performance. We’ve rocked up on the back of relegation, played well for about a 1/3 of the game and still turned them over. Poor pathetic club, went out with a whimper on their big day out.
