  1. That isnt going to happen given that the final sold out some weeks ago. Just for info England's 3 group games have sold out as well including the opener at Old Trafford. "All 87,200 tickets have been sold for the final at Wembley on July 31, which will break the attendance record for a women's football game in England" https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12593767/womens-euro-2022-englands-group-matches-and-wembley-final-sold-out
  2. Right then, rolls-sleeves-up Ian Marshall outside the Malt Shovel, Barkby a few months ago Mike Whitlow in the cafe, Asda Fosse Park Mark Wallington in the Soar Bridge, Barrow Julian Joachim in Perberdys, Syston last week Mike Newell Beehive Lane Car Park, Loughborough long after he'd left us At no stage was any meaningful conversation entered into. I live life on the edge me...
  3. Not got any advice on e bikes. I still use old fashioned legs but random thoughts from me as a commuter. Stop thinking like a motorist - use estate roads, parks, cycle paths. Go around hills not over them. The quickest route in a car isnt the quickest on a bike. Dress like an explosion in a paint factory. Being "cool" in all black and dead isnt a good look. Get a light for the front and back and another and another see above Add extra time for the trip to and from. And give in to "I wonder where that goes" Always dress as though it is slightly warmer than it actually is. Dont cycle to work when it's raining. There are few more unpleasant feelings than putting wet kit back on to go home.
  4. Indirectly, assuming you are a consumer of something that has been advertised - ITV, Sky
  5. "Yeah, there teem is great & playing beautiful attacking football (ruffeling a lot of feathers), but the few Leicestr fans I know at work are as thick as sh!t" But I bet they can spell team, ruffling and Leicester. Irony?
  6. slightly off at a tangent but it always amazed me that between 1880 - 1920 ish Blackburn had 2 teams plus Darwen, Nelson, Burnley & Accrington
  7. Yep that'll be me. Never understood the hype. For every "Yesterday" there are numerous "octopus's gardens", "yellow submarines", "I am a walrus" that compete with agadoo and shaddup yer face for their purile nonsense. The "innovation" that lazy journos bang on about was by the Beatles own words copied from others. Soz, just dont get it. Glad Ive go that off my chest. But then I dont get Led Zep or Elvis either.
  8. 1/3 of African countries are in the southern hemisphere and in the middle of summer now. the world cup in south africa was played in the winter And to add, Cameroon warmest months of year are January and February. https://weatherspark.com/y/68774/Average-Weather-in-Yaoundé-Cameroon-Year-Round#Figures-Summary It really does make you think why clubs are a bit brassed off with AFCON and dont "value it".
  9. Great song Manfred Mann or Springsteen but lord only knows what Bruce is on about
  10. its's a fine song but does have the most appalling near rhyme One of sixteen vestal virgins Who were leaving for the coast And although my eyes were open They might have just as well've been closed Coast and closed. Grates every time I hear it.

  12. Spare place in the Europa Conference ZDS Simod Cup squad for either Liam or Conrad as a home grown. The stars are aligning, I tell you
  13. Liam Moore on loan
  14. Not a criticism of @brucey but you've got to laugh at the media & the "powers that be". It seems the NHS is planning for more admissions and will start setting up extra capacity from today. Seems I let the cat out of the bag 3 weeks ago. we've been planning for this since September, the capacity has been in place for weeks!
  15. Amartey has already gone to pre afcon training camp, hasn't he? Oh and the BBC report Mendy may make his last appearance before going to afcon. Jeez.
  16. I have a massive issue with the media using admissions figures. What about discharges? It's a nonsense to talk about the numbers going into hospital without balancing that with numbers leaving. The number to look at is the 8 am census of numbers in hospital. 7482 - 17th dec (latest figures) down from 9671 1st Nov. Peak was 38000 last jan. The numbers arent going up (yet). They've been below 8000 since 23rd nov. I expect they will go up in the coming days/weeks.
  17. Window sills, walls, floors. It's everywhere. If your house has artex ceilings and was built before the 90s, it probably has asbestos in it
  18. Prob!am here is you don't know who east lancs admib estates provide service to. They may well provide services to a number of trusts. Other trusts in the area will have disproportionately lower numbers of admin and estates staff. Uhl, at present provide facilities services across the whole of Leicestershire to both Leicestershire trusts.
  19. Yes, asbestos. You seem surprised. It was installed in almost every building in the country until about 25 years ago
  20. Oh yes, estates. Is that the estates that were privatised? And then the private company suddenly realised it actually couldn't do the job and make money and went bust? It's ok, the NHS picked it back up.
  21. One trust I know put sensors on the wall in wards. They covered patients in asbestos. It's health and safety gone mad all this ref tape
  22. You can't just wander into wards, clinics and operating areas you know. Oh and we just might be a bit busy doing something slightly more important like trying to keep some alive. Sorry if this doesn't meet your idea of what efficient looks like. Sadly we can't always book in heart attacks and car crashes to fit around 3rd party contractors.
  23. No idea, But how about the legislation/ best practice changed between project spec and fitting ? You'd be surprised at the "issues" we have to deal with. Ligatures are a Biggie. Did you know patients can hang themselves from a radiator? You know a normal everyday knee high radiator. The cost of sinks, taps, radiators, doors etc etc go through the roof once you take patient safety into account. The the has to design everything around the most vulnerable people in society.
  24. Quality. 4 statements 3 are so badly wrong it is clear you have no idea what you are talking about. And the other is best left well alone. It may well be sub judice.
  25. Currently UHL have around 100 people with covid. Obviously not all in ICU beds. The plan is ready for a surge in early jan. Extra capacity is available in Leicestershire. Plan for the worse, hope for the best. Everyone in the NHS will be overjoyed if all the planning and preparation was a waste of time.
