You’re right, I like him a lot but I’ve barely noticed he’s there, centre midfield has been Rice carrying it upfield alone and Bellingham trying to get close to Kane. Trent seems to have inherited the Mason Mount role of strolling around pointing and not getting involved, the game passing him by.

A lot of sloppiness again, is it stage fright, do they need counselling and hypnotism / meditation? I’m serious, they’ve got the touch and passing confidence of Daniel Amartey on a bad day.

I liked Paul Cooper, I sussed his penalty save technique and copied it to good effect / luck. Basically drift slightly more towards one post, hang both of your arms to that side like a gibbon and the taker will always go for the opposite side. Or laugh. Also cracked me up if he didn't get an offside decision he'd spend the next few minutes making glasses gestures at the linesman!

At Forest Cooper seemed to build a siege mentality at home and turn the ground into a bear pit to reasonable effect but away they looked too easy to play against, whether it was the momentum of lack of belief and confidence I don't know, Whether you can associate that to a manager or whether it should be to his team at the time I'm not sure but home form Cooper was good with what he was given, away form just inevitable defeats and "lemmings off cliffs" predictability doing the same thing over and over. We're likely to be in a unique tough fight and he would have some merit for galvanising us at home but we need to be able to pick up away wins and not gain any negative momentum or reputation for continual capitulations, home form alone won't be enough.

Going without a manager for a couple of months will have saved us 16.6% of our managerial salary budget for the year........

re an accompanying statement / justifications, I found this on the official site, not really answering the "Why" but some attempt at comparisons with other clubs. What should really accompany such an announcement is a statement of how they've come to this decision, their justifications and explanations, the logic behind it and some hint of awareness that it's going to hit hard for a lot of people, even a token "We've had to make tough decisions, we appreciate your continued support through these tough economical times" which of course we'd all jump upon and criticise but at least try and show you're aware.

Factor in also the official re-sale's from STH's, for example if someone can't make a category A fixture in J1 the club will sell the seat for £72, they will receive 1/19th of the Season ticket price, the club keep the rest. With a these variables we need some help to work out the increased revenue this will achieve.....

For comparisons sake here’s last seasons and this seasons prices. The individual rises and the percentage rises would be interesting / shocking (I’d do them but have a hay fever headache!) For such a swing I’d expect it to be accompanied by a club statement where they’d try to justify it - First significantly big rise for a few years, compare us to others, it’s a different division, we’ve been undercharging for years and need to become more realistic to maximise income and beat FFP etc etc Yada yada waffle swaffle. Hard to estimate how much extra it brings in per game as don’t know season Vs match day ticket numbers per stand or capacity per stand. As others say if you get to say 7 games that’s an equivalent of another £5 per match for your membership to factor in.

I see that the Sunday 18th May v Ipswich is due to a new ruling / policy of having the F.A. Cup Final on the penultimate Saturday with no PL games that day or on the Friday. That's presuming we're not in it!

I would rather the home games v Ipswich and Southampton, without being too presumptuous about winning them, came earlier in the season or were more spread out, one in the bag is worth two in the bush or whatever, it's OK plotting on paper that you're going to steamroll through May and win those pressure games, I'd rather have the opportunity earlier to get the points. They're potentially your two "easiest" games and most other clubs will have had them by then so we'll be playing catch up in those instances. It'll be good for the neutral, it's almost as if it was contrived to be that way.....

We're at a distinct disadvantage in that we're the only club that don't get to play Leicester twice
