  1. It has been done before. I was at Filbert Street sometime in the 1970’s. Tottenham were all over us throughout the whole game. Very near the end we scrambled a ball in, from a corner if I remember properly. It was utter pandemonium. One of my best ever memories…..even though I can’t remember the exact time of the goal or who scored it. I do remember the celebrations though.
  2. Watch it again. He gets up off the floor, then jogs back to defend. Winks is slowing the attacker down, providing any motivated and determined defender in Faes’s position time to get back and pressure the attacker from behind. Instead, Faes jogs back at a pace well below full-tilt aggressive defending and watches from 5 yards away as the shot is made. I guess when you spend the whole game slowly wandering round, playing tippy tappy pass backs, it is hard to shift out of first gear. If I were the manager, he’d get a right good bo llocking from me.
  3. Lots of commentary today about the fact that we have been sussed out and need to change tactics.Totally agree. I have lots of ideas. Here is one. Don’t keep doing the thing that worked for us at the start of the season. That is;….a short pass out to Faes or Vestergard, who walk slowly out, waiting for the opposition striker to run towards them, then, at the last second, pass to someone else who is in space. Early in the season, that process kept possession, physically wore the opposition down and allowed Leicester to play out from the back. It doesn’t work any more! When Faes has the ball with someone clearly in the open in front of him, he waits and waits and waits to someone comes to him. The opposing player now knows exactly what is going to happen.. As he closes Faes down, he does it in one direction, forcing Faes to pass in the direction and to a player the opposition want. Meanwhile, they know exactly where that will be and as the attacker approaches Faes, they send someone across to cover the predictable pass. Not only does that allow them to press way more effectively, but it leads to screw ups and high risk……and the slow process allows them to get more men back to defence. For goodness sake….pass the ball quickly to a player who is open! Beat the press! Don’t encourage the press! Open up the game and get upfield quickly! Stop inviting them on! ……and it ain’t just me that can see it.
  4. Here is my e-mail to Stream AMG, the people who provide the service: Hi I understand you are responsible for the streaming service that I pay for to watch Leicester City. Can I suggest that you get someone to watch a game or two to see whether you think the quality of service is adequate. My experience is that games have a number of problems: Sign in issues despite an existing subscription Commentary out of synchronization with the video ( not resolved by restarting) “Jittering” noise from the crowd, almost like the sound is being rapidly switched on and off. I also understand that many other fans are very disappointed. If you visit the Foxes Fan Forum and read the comments, you will see what I mean. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/132478-foxes-hub-–-the-place-to-watch-leicester-city-live/#comments Are you aware of these problems? Do you have an action plan in place to resolve them? I await your response with interest John Keating
  5. Here is the response they sent to me: The service is provided by an external company called Stream AMG, the service is a required by the English Football League to provide the paid service to supporters wishing to listen to the matches or in some cases being able to watch them depending on where you are in the world. The information you have provide to us below is new, we are not aware of the commentary being a head of the play when listening or watching and that is something we will, take up with them. I don’t get a chance to listen as I work all home matches and run the travel club to all away matches so don’t hear what is happening. If the service isn’t up to your standards, John, please email @[email protected] and ask them to cancel your service. We will investigate the commentary situation with them. Kind regards Jim
  6. Very, very annoying. I’m going to send them a stiff letter. I’m sure that will make all the difference.
  7. After paying for this and paying for DAZN to watch the games that are not shown on Foxes Hub, this is really annoying. Complete incompetence. Not even a message on the screen saying “sorry, trying to fix it” Everyone is busy contacting friends and searching the web to find out that it is a generic problem, not a log in problem. Awful customer support.
  8. Actually that isn’t correct. We travelled from Canada and got 5 tickets for the Leeds game based solely on the fact that we were International Members. I was astounded that we could manage to do that…especially for such a critical game. I can only believe that there was very low demand.
  9. I’ve read all the way through this thread and am still a little confused. For away tickets, from what I can see, it looks like not all of them will be posted out to the buyers. Some are held back and people are told to show up at the ground and show ID before being given the tickets. However, I’m still a little unclear about what happens at the away ground at the turnstile. Is everyone’s ID checked to see if it matches the ticket? Are some people’s ID checked? Or are nobody’s ID checked? I’m coming from Canada to watch a game, so it is somewhat important to me. By the way, please no comments about me being a plastic tourist fan and whether or not I should be using someone else’s ticket. I’ve been a loyal supporter for over 50 years and still watch every game with my family, even in Canada. However, for some unfathomable reason, International Members are not entitled to buy away tickets except though a highly improbable “draw” where we might get zero tickets or we might not all get tickets, or we might not get seated together. Therefore, I have no other choice. I think I am entitled to watch my first live away game in many years. I’ve earned it…….especially after watching Leicester lose an away game at Bristol City on a Tuesday night with the rain pouring down, sometime in the 1970’s. By the way, I’m 66 years old, bringing my grandkids to see their first ever live Leicester game, so I’m not planning on running onto the pitch and attacking the referee. ……
  10. We can, and have, bought some international memberships, but they provide little probability of getting tickets. Apparently, we go into a “draw”. No idea how many tickets they have and the likelihood of success. I’d rather have a bit more confidence when we get on the plane . Hospitality is a great suggestion and I will certainly look into that to see if anything works that is affordable. In the meantime, someone else has already messaged me to say that he might be able to get a couple of tickets…which is great. I have zero expectation of getting 6 tickets together for both games and will be happy if any of us get tickets for any game….especially the grandkids. I have a Canadian son-in-law who went down to the King Power a few years ago and watched an excellent game (when they used to do that sort of thing) and since then he is 100% Leicester and knows more about the injury situation and the stadium expansion than I do. Hahaha. Along with my daughter, who was born at the Leicester Infirmary, he shouts louder than I do when we score and moans louder than I do when Amartey screws up. 6 of us watch every Leicester game (and lots of others) every week.
  11. I’ve been a Leicester fan for over 50 years. Lived in Highfields, New Parks, Rusheymead, and East Goscote. I am visiting Leicester from Ontario, Canada, (where we have lived for many years), on the above dates. Ideally, I’d like to try and get tickets for both games for all 6 of us, including two grandkids who have never been to England before, but watch all Leicester’s games live on TV. I don’t think that is very likely, but I live in hope. If anyone can give me advice on how to get any tickets, or can actually provide a ticket it would be very much appreciated.
  12. I’ve never responded to any of these chant suggestions before, but, because I’m an old git who regrets not being born in those halcyon days of camaraderie, I really liked this. I think it would be great fun. Although I might suggest that a couple of other lyric changes might make it more relevant.
  13. I was really looking forward to this season, believing that we had an excellent squad and, as long as we didn’t repeat the long injury list of last year that we would be in the top 10, pushing for top six. Then, amazingly, the manager announces that the squad isn’t good enough and he needs wholesale changes during the Summer. Eh? How is that supposed to build confidence and engender loyalty? He literally said that he would be getting rid of a load of players and replacing them with better ones. As if that weren’t bad enough, he said that knowing full well that selling the likes of Bertrand, Vestergard, Amarty etc would be nigh on impossible. He knew the financial challenges in the club better than any of us, but said it anyway. No wonder we can’t sell anyone. We look desperate and get no offers or lowball offers for the second string. Did he seriously think we needed to sell Fofana, Tieleman’s, Maddison, or the other decent players? In my view, he was simply setting up an excuse for failure…..which, ironically, helps precipitate the failure. It is all on him. By the way, does anyone believe that the half time talk resembles anything that Conte, Tuchel, Guardiola or Klopp would deliver? Hahaha. Don’t make me laugh.
  14. Honestly, watching Amarty is like seeing a bunch of under-tens. He is looking up into the sky. He has no idea where the opposition players are. He allows Jesus to walk into the far post for an easy finish. Not good enough, I’m afraid.
  15. Along with many of us on here, I like Amarty. However, surely it is obvious that he is not good enough for a team aspiring to finish in the top 6. Far too often his weaknesses are exposed. The game against Brentford is simply an example of his inability to think fast enough. On the first goal, he is behind the attacker several yards goal-side of the nearest other defender and can easily see across the line). It is absolutely obvious that, if he steps out a yard or two, the attacker is bound to be offside. Instead tries to close in, plays him on and is still too far behind when the ball arrives, with no chance to succeed on a tackle. The second goal clearly came from midfield weakness, but just allowing a guy with a great left foot shot to drift into a perfect position and let him shoot is nothing short of bizarre. Just to add another criticism, he generally panics when put under slight pressure and falls into the “pass it to someone else, even if they are under more pressure than me” response. If you don’t believe me, just keep an eye out for it in his next game. As I said, I like the guy, but he is simply not good enough. We have several decent midfielders and Praet did well pre-season, so a back four coupled with a strong midfield would have been my choice, before playing Amarty out of position on the left if a back three…..but what do I know? Hahaha.
  16. The VPN thing is a bit surprising because I can watch the games while I am in Mexico using one. The bank card is a bit more challenging. Got any relatives in Canada?
  17. We watch whatever EPL and European game we want to live …..or full recorded game….or highlights on DAZN. The subscription is not that much and well worth it. Not sure how to subscribe over there and you will probably need a VPN, but it really is a brilliant service. Btw, we watched the highlights of the Roma match (and all the others) straight after last night’s celebrations died down.
  18. OK. I’ll recind my last comment. Apparently we all don’t ALL know that Vestergard is a liability. Maybe we should have a poll to ask “We’re you happy with him being brought on?” or “Did you put put your head in your hands and said “Oh, no!?”
  19. Disagree. The moment he brought Vestergard on, we all knew it was going to end badly. It immediately sent a message to them that the could control the midfield and press our defence. It sent a message to our team that their job was to “hang on”. The mental dynamics are completely changed. In addition, Vestergard is completely rubbish. It is shocking how such a tall guy can be so bad at positioning himself and winning vital headers. Useless, absolutely useless and we all know it.
  20. It is not just the appalling decision to bring Vestergard on and invite them on to us for the last few minutes (demonstrating Rodgers inability to learn about the definition of insanity) but earlier, he brings on Lookman for Madison……who his having another great game. Madison was not impressed. What a ridiculous strategy. Take off your best players and invite the opposition to attack you. Made worse by bringing on Vestergard…..who really, really is useless. Robbie Keane explains that Vestergard’s actions are the definition of incompetence. I’m sick of this stupidity.
  21. This is absolutely correct. Mind you, our game management at the end was complete shite.
  22. Enjoyed the comment about “a jolly trip to Notts County”. I went there with my brother George in the early 70s to watch a pre-season “friendly” against Notts County. The whole day was full of violence with the huge number of Forest fans who showed up. After the game, the police blocked the road to the railway station and let everyone just go at it. Both sides fairly evenly balanced for numbers so it was quite the battle. Of course, that was all long before video cameras and follow-up arrests. No chance of any of those scenes these days…….which is a good thing.
