  1. Just noticed all the new posts on here and seeing this, he obviously knows something the planning office doesn’t as the stadium planning is still conditionally approved with the section 106 still pending, the only thing that has been approved and what the club can do is the enabling works preparation to allow the beginning of the stadium improvements
  2. He actually did this a few times without getting the ball in the first half and when you think with him dropping deep like that it should be a winger or an 8 making that run and he’s done it all himself Also it could obviously be many different reasons but the defense seemed more disrupted with him playing, seemed a lot more room for these type of 3rd man runs then we have previously seen
  3. Correct chosen for international broadcast
  4. It was a rare occasion where the villa midfield consistently won the battle, McGinn, Youri & Douglas Luis were fantastic
  5. We are 7th in the table for shots at goal Leeds are in 1st and somewhat surprising Coventry are 3rd despite being 17th in the actual league table, we are 8th for shots on target Sunderland are 1st, Leeds 2nd, Coventry 5th, we are 8th for goal conversion as well, Preston despite having the least amount of shots at goal and on target are 1st for goal conversion, Leeds are 17th and Coventry are 23rd
  6. Ref showed he was adding the Time on when the Luton player wasted nearly a minute in his slow walk to take the throw in
  7. They won’t go out of business, administration will be how they avoid paying the fines and kill their debts and will just accept the 9 points instead as the lesser of two evils
  8. Pretty sure the Assistant has a decent view
  9. A minimum of 215 games for Sky and a minimum of 52 games For TNT, every game not played at 3pm on a Saturday (blackout rules) will be televised which includes the games moved to Sunday 2pm due to European commitments so that leaves a maximum possibility of 113 3pm Saturday kickoffs for the entire season
  10. Sounds like this article could be for you… “A step-by-step guide to show Harry Kane has actually scored precisely zero proper goals for England” https://www.football365.com/news/handy-guide-harry-kane-precisely-zero-england-goals
  11. I didn’t see it awarded either but that was the explanation given by the commentators listening to the VAR
  12. Apparently because the penalty was given, whatever happened afterwards ceases to exist, penalty overruled so drop ball for the keeper
  13. A similar thing happened with Matt Jansen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Jansen
  14. I’m not surprised with any of that now Russell T Davies is back at the helm, his latest statement is that Dr Who’s next 2 episodes are not child friendly but they are scheduled to air at 18:30 on a Saturday
  15. Perm refs do step down and do championship games, we have had Graham Scott and Simon Hooper already this season, Oliver Langford refs in the championship & also does VAR in the prem, Thomas Bramall also refs in the Championship as well as the prem
  16. It is hard to put a figure on for the reasons you state, also could be sponsorship and merchandise sales, only other time I can remember 1 club claiming from another was West Ham & Sheff United, they got £20 million but that was 14 years ago so based on that £100 million is not unreasonable in my opinion
  17. The Premier league rules on this are a little bizarre, tight restrictions on domestic loans but no restrictions on foreign loans: - Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time. - The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time. - Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window. - A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club. With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas. the EFl rules are this A maximum of 5 Players registered on a Temporary Loan Transfer can be named in the Players listed on a Team Sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This maximum shall reduce to 4 Players where a Club names a Player on the team sheet who is registered on an Emergency Goalkeeper Loan; No Club may sign more than 4 Players on a Temporary Loan Transfer from another Club (or club) in any Season, of which no more than 2 Players may be over the age of 23. The deadline for determining a Player's age in this respect shall be as at the 30 June prior to the Season in which the Temporary Loan Transfer is intended to take place.
  18. Did we even have a vote? Thought it was just premier league teams voting
  19. How do they give that but not give the Maguire one
  20. This legal defense is so laughable, apparently being punished for being ambitious and the transfer market was “soft” and not able to get the players true market value "Everton will say: 'if we decided to stay at Goodison Park and show a lack of ambition with regards to the new stadium, then we wouldn't be up against a charge and be facing this points deduction'. "So that will form one part of their defence and hey will be asking for their legal briefings and accounting experts to hook together a case on one of those lines." "I think they will also be seeking further evidence, in relation to their inability to pass players on. "For example, they signed Cenk Tosun from Turkey for around £27m - it didn't work out for the player. These things sometimes happen. Everton would have said, under normal circumstances, they would have sold him back to a Turkish club - but Turkey was effectively in total closedown (during Covid), and so that market was denied to them. "So, therefore, the chance of recovering £8m to £12m a year or two later was denied to the club. "Ultimately, Everton were around £20m over the PSR limit - if you knock off another £12m then we're looking at a much lower figure and, you would think, that would provoke a much lower point deduction. So, this is the direction Everton are likely to follow."
  21. Was just about to put this, this could be the easiest season to stay up if the first 12 games are anything to go by
  22. Anyone looking for a new job? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67415992 Players of football management games have often thought they could do a better job than the professionals in the real-life positions. Now they have a chance to prove it. National League promotion-chasers Bromley are advertising a full-time job as a support performance tactician - but forget updating your CV and flexing your analytics degree, to land this role you need to simply win a league title on the latest Football Manager game. The successful applicant will be whisked away from their mouse and out of the house from January to May to shadow and learn from the coaching team five days a week, headed by manager Andy Woodman, who spent years coaching in the Premier League under Arsene Wenger and Alan Pardew, among others. "It's a great opportunity for someone to go from the gaming chair and then sit beside us day in, day out and on a matchday and hopefully add value to us," Woodman told BBC Radio London. "It's the age where everyone thinks they can do a better job, and that's why we love football, we all think we've got our input and our ideas. "I can assure everyone that this isn't a gimmick. When I got offered this proposal I wanted to make sure it was on my terms where we have someone that really is part of our team and really is in the trenches with us. "We're going to get it down to a number of applicants and then interview them and get the best one that we feel will fit into our football club and work closely with myself and my staff. "Once they're in I'm going to make sure they're treated like every other member of my staff and they have a voice in our meetings and we'll take on board their input. I'm looking forward to it." Miles Jacobson, studio director of the game's makers Sports Interactive, said: "Football fans are full of opinions on how their team can do better on the pitch - now we can finally find out if their theories are right." The role will include contributing to first-team training, producing opposition analysis and supporting the backroom staff in team selection, tactics and scouting. Applicants also need to upload a one-minute video explaining why they deserve the role, while a documentary will follow the process next year.
  23. Did we? Or was we presented with plenty of chances due to sloppy passes from their defense?
  24. Brilliant free kick although the wall looked a very generous 10 yards away
