It just infuriates me. I don't know how you can watch this as a professional football coach and not see it's obviously not an intelligent use of the space on a pitch. With Mavididi's skill set, why are you sending him off to go and stand around in a crowd of defenders central in the pitch. Even if he gets the ball there what do you want him to do. He isn't James Maddison, he's not going to turn on a dime and slot a little through ball in or something. He's utterly wasted coming inside. -

I hate this shape so much compared to last year. It's little things but they're really obvious. Like having Kristiansen so advanced as the main left side width with Mavididi pushed inside. He's just not an attacking left back, he's nit going to beat his man. So it's an utter waste every time it'll always slow us down when he has to come back inside and pass it backwards. I swear to god it's Ben Chilwell under Puel all over again. Yet he'd be perfect just sitting back as a more defensive full back, letting Mavididi go back out wide to terrorise the defence as the first receiver out there and create room for a midfielder under lapping on the inside. So much momentum just lost. -

Their right back is a **** isn't he. Imagine diving in a friendly, same guy was diving in almost two footing people earlier from the first few minutes wasn't he? -

Did someone say this is on ESPN? Or is that just in the states? -
It cuts both ways. It broke me a little having to mark the Matt O'Riley, Gabriel Sara and Reo Hatate threads Tier 4
-
Yeah that's the idea. To be honest, I've never heard of the French sources tweeting this, they could be brilliant. I guess we learn as we go along don't we? But yeah if Percy puts an article out in a bit confirming our interest and saying we've made an approach then we'll update the tag to Tier 1 and recommend the post.
-
If - and it's a big if - we genuinely do have money and the Soule link was as genuine as we think it was then this transfer would make a lot of sense. We missed one target, this is the next guy up, very similar profile. Be interesting to see if the Fabs and Percys of this world jump on it shortly.

Transfer Talk guidelines: Threads in Transfer Talk will be tagged by a moderator based on the reputation of the source. The tier list below is not exhaustive, if you feel a source is missing or has been classified incorrectly please let a moderator know. During busy windows, threads about unlikely Tier 4 rumours may be merged in to the Twitter Transfer Rumours thread. If a thread you started has vanished, check there first. Rumour threads started without a source (eg, "I heard from someone on Facebook") are likely to be removed but will be reviewed first, we accept the possibility that some people may legitimately be "in the know." Busy topics may have their tier updated as new information is released. Moderators will also try to keep you up to date using the Recommended Post feature to highlight the latest development in an ongoing transfer. Source Tiers: Tier 1 - reputable sources with a long history of high accuracy and/or obvious connections to the club John Percy Rob Tanner Fabrizio Romano Kristof Terreur David Ornstein Matt Law Mike McGrath Ex-WHU Employee Tom Collomosse Tier 2 - strong sources, consistently accurate Rob Dorsett Gianluca Di Marzio Sacha Tavolieri James Sharpe Farzam Abolhosseini Simon Peach Tier 3 - UK broadsheets, international sports-focused news outlets, twitter sources with some history of credibility, etc. The Guardian The Times The Telegraph The Independent L'Équipe La Gazzetta dello Sport Sky Sports (not their rumour section) BBC Sport (not their rumour section) Tier 4 - UK tabloids, gossip sections, football blogs and rumour sites, usually complete speculation, occasionally click and rage bait, 90% rubbish. Sun, Mail, Mirror, Express, Standard, Leicester Mercury (yes really), Star, Sport, Metro etc CaughtOffside, 90minutes, Goal, Football365, LeicestershireLive, TalkSport, etc. Alan ****ing Nixon. A note on aggregators: the likes of FosseHub, SportWitness, etc, get their content by re-posting rumours for clicks, shares and views. Links from these will be judged by the validity of their source. Faux aggregators that frequently don't name their sources and opt for lines like "HITC Understands..." will just be deleted, they're 99.9999% trash tier nonsense, if there's any credibility to a source it shouldn't be difficult to search for the origin. To iterate, this list obviously isn't definitive and is flexible. DM me or another mod (spam Ric, he probably deserves it) if you have feedback, want to add a source or want to object to a source's rating.

I'm genuinely a bit surprised a major rival hasn't put out a Twitter alternative and properly stuck to it to be honest. Surely you can release something remarkably similar to Twitter without breaking any patent laws. The platform has been going rapidly downhill since Musk took over but him proactively using it to push hate speech and influence elections is utterly wild. Even if the likes of Zuckerberg or Pichai agree with him politically or equally want to see a Republican presidency, they've still surely got to see that there's a wide open goal there. People will walk off twitter en masse if you offer them an alternative that's at very least masquerading as politically neutral.

Ugh. Just imagine Fatawu or Mavididi playing out of position or sitting on the bench to accommodate BDCR.
-
Yeah I fully acknowledge that since I posted this there's been almost no new rumours That said, I do think that when it's quiet it does lead to people over reacting to rubbish a little bit more because it's only the real "news." See the Ayew stuff which still has a very high chance of being complete rubbish. So, yeah, just sign posting.
-
Not really no. I think in a busier window we'd probably really clamp down on tier 4 posts filling up the forum but it's so ****ing slow at the moment I'm not sure that's a priority.

Tbf neither does Domachowski, Tshiunza or Faletau. Let alone Cabango, Dasilva, Ampadu. Matondo or Koumas.
-
Yeah man it'd be much better to sign for a Championship club than one that might get a points deduction that could possibly lead them to get relegated to, *checks notes*, the Championship.
-
It's going to happen sooner than we sign someone.
