  1. VAR gives that as a pen for me. Probably both of them. Thing we're very lucky.
  2. Don't care what pelters I take for this, we miss Daka in the build up when he isn't playing. Vardy is unquestionably the better finisher but he doesn't give as much to the team. (Vardy goal any second haha.)
  3. The team won't look anything like this and a lot of the pressure will be off tbh. The way we played in the first half of the year we'd have beaten a good half of the Prem.
  4. Well this is a shit start eh.
  5. at least this ref is consistent Faes awful then
  6. **** me we miss Ricardo so much. Hamza just slows the game down so much.
  7. Stop giving this troll oxygen, seriously. He's just sad nobody gives a shit about him any more and is saying controversial shit for attention.
  8. But those people were potentially not getting to the game anyway because of rail changes? It's not like they've moved it last minute purely for greed, money, TV, international fans or whatever. They've moved it to help people get to the game. There's no perfect decision in this situation but frankly this looks like the best one?
  9. I didn't even watch it (obviously) I'm just messing to be fair, it did make me chuckle. I like Faes, I'm not having a go particularly.
  10. Narh in all fairness we really went for it. Had a goal disallowed for a very narrow offside (it was, like, I'm not suggesting otherwise), forced a couple of decent saves, had a fair few "nearly" moments. Poland were very negative but then Poland always are, every major tournament they tend to stink the place out which is a shame because they've got some good players but they just never use them. We just looked like what we are, really, a Championship level team working hard but just not really quite having the quality in the final third to break down a side parking the bus. In former generations we had a Bale, Ramsey, Bellers, Giggs, etc to just be that extra few percent to get the goal and we don't have that now. I was fairly happy with the performance, it's just a shame we didn't play like we have in these two last games against Armenia - then we wouldn't have needed to be here. But oh well.
  11. I think Danny Ward is as crap as every other Leicester fan, I have no particular Wales bias towards him. But he kept a clean sheet for 120 minutes and then, in all fairness, Poland smashed in 4 excellent penalties and one slightly tricksy one. Could argue he might have done better with Lewa's but then elite goalkeepers all round the world struggle with that bullshit from pens. There's no fault on him yesterday. Belgium subbing on Wout Faes only to concede a 94th minute equaliser did make me chuckle though.
  12. I love that there's still England fans insecure enough to let ****ing Wales live rent free in their heads.
  13. He shouldn't have, no, but then countless players get away with this all the time.
  14. He's a pretty famously bad finisher.
  15. Why oh why would you pick Dan James to take one. Fair play Poland though they've obviously been practicing them all week. Five superb pens, can't even blame Ward really.
  16. Danny Ward it is then. Come on Danny.
  17. Calon lan ❤️
  18. So you think Southgate's talent, comparable to all of the other managers in the world, is equal or greater to Foden m, Bellingham, Kane, etc talent relative to other players? These are Champions League players in contention for Ballons Dor. Gareth Southgate had had one senior management job before England, seven years before, was at Boro where he finished 12th, 13th and then got relegated and sacked and basically walked away from management.
  19. He is obviously, and again I think this is about objectively true, the weak link in the England national teams set up. You have a talented squad and a failed manager who nobody had hired in years as a coach. What I would say to that is that a lot of countries are held back by shit managers. Belgium were for ages, Portugal are, the last world cup was full of football terrorists. Your Klopps and Guardiolas don't really want to do international management anymore, the prestige is all at club level on the Champions League. So it's easy to have some sympathy with your FA because it's not like there's a line of world class managers coming in. But then they need to have the confidence to go the other end of the career spectrum and back a young, progressive coach with modern ideas and an actual footballing identity. Southgate doesn't have a discernable philosophy, he just organises you and hopes individual excellence will win you games. There's no system, there's no ideas. Can you imagine the carnage someone like Enzo Maresca could cause with Foden, Bellingham and Co getting you to play quick, creative, attacking football?
  20. Only if we score a late winner and don't need Danny Ward to save any pens
  21. Relative to the rest of the world / Europe, your current squad is as close to objectively better than the "Golden Generation" as possible. With the exception of France, most of Europe's big sides are going through some sort of transition or crisis.
  22. The state of some of this Polish diving. When even the keeper is at it
  23. 👀
  24. Jakub Piotrowski is ****ing embarrassing
