There's absolutely fvcking nothing woke about it tbh but I am glad you said that because for the most part people have been too embarrassed to admit their objection to the flag was that seeing a few colourful stripes next to each other made them immediately terrified that different sexualities exist. The purple and blue vaguely resembles the bisexual pride flag but that's really, pretty niche even within the LGBT community and it's highly unlikely it was done deliberately for that reason. Especially given that, if it was, they'd quite happily and proudly announced it instead of claiming it was a tribute to 1966 when in fact some designer at Nike clearly just thought it looked kinda cool.

Yeah but the biggest difference between now and then is that now there's some ridiculously divisive culture war about literally everything. TikTok and Twitter instigate an argument and politicise basically every single thing that happens. The same people arguing about the England shirt flag are probably the same idiots that were convinced to care about the colour of their passport.

Like I said, it's expectation. Nobody expects anything from Ubisoft, they're essentially a meme at this point. Where as DD2 has had a cult fanbase excited for it like BG3 did for a long time now and people were hyped as hell. You're obviously going to get a bigger reaction when that happens.

I dunno, last major AAA release to have this much cynical cash grabbing was Suicide Squad and that got absolutely slaughtered. But Capcom blundered a few times recently, they put out a character designer app before launch which everybody loved to build hype and then they launched the game with no way to change your character appearance without micro transactions. They also told players that only shit games have fast travel in them and then put fast travel in that you have to pay a micro transaction for There's levels of PR bungle and they've gone big and hard. But a lot of it is a compliment I suppose, the reaction is proportionate to the hopes people had for the game. The first game was a real cult classic that's beloved and the second came with a lot of hopes and hypes. The bigger the hype the bigger the criticism when you pull this shit. In fairness, I've seen nobody say it's a bad game other than a few guys - possibly mostly on AMD - complain that it runs a little bit poorly.

I'm sorry but this is a bit of an under statement. Capcom aren't getting battered because they released it with some bugs or a bit unfinished (although there have been moans about its optimisation.) They're getting bashed for their business practices which are, in this case, extremely poor. They're obviously going to get comparisons to Larian and BG3 as well given the timing of the launch and they are paragons in the industry. The games industry is hitting quite a significant time really where the behaviour of leading publishers is getting increasingly toxic at a time when the indie scene is really thriving and a lot of gamers are becoming aware that they don't have to tolerate shit like this. My point about having two thoughts in your head is that you can like the game Dragons Dogma 2 but still accept there's no reason those QOL features couldn't have been in the £50 base game and that Capcom deserve all of the criticism they're getting right now for how they've handled this.

I didn't say it wasn't a good game. Cyberpunk is a brilliant game, one of my favourites in years, but nobody can argue CDPR dropped the ball considerably with its launch. DD2 could end up going down as one of the best rpgs of its generation, it's still an absolute PR disaster of a launch that was completely avoidable. You can hold more than one thought in your head at a time, you know.

They're tactically remarkably similar at this point. They're both cowardly football terrorists. At very least most of your squad seem to like Southgate where as you'd be rolling the dice with Mourinho who is famous for picking and choosing who to fall out with almost arbitrarily.

Not being able to start a new game without considerable ****ing around with the game files, not having fast travel without micro transactions and making people pay to change elements of their character appearance (especially considering the first point) is massively scummy though. Especially having just seen Larian's approach to games development and publishing. Micro transactions to buy premium cosmetics and the like yeah whatever, I don't care. But these are just basic, standard quality of life features in any modern game that Capcom have the audacity to try and charge for when their base game is over fifty quid. I'm sorry but this is one of the biggest launch balls ups since CDPR let people preorder millions of copies of Cyberpunk on Xbox one and PS4 before letting people realise it basically isn't compatible with those machines.

Poland will be favourites and I expect them to win. But today aside they often struggle to break teams down and give Lewa service. We're usually pretty stubborn at home and shit house our way through a lot of games. Wouldn't be amazed if we qualify.

The centre backs completely lost their runner but Ward was atrocious. He literally just noped out of the way. He's one of the worst goalkeepers at one on one's to ever play Premier League or international football.
