Championship team of possible transfers. Who has impressed you?
Finnegan replied to Kinowe Soorie's topic in Transfer Talk
Ampadu, Rodon, James, Moore, Burns, Broadhead -
No, he won't do any more time, he's out. It's an absolute joke of a sentence, he was detained awaiting trial then got a couple of months effectively because of time served and he lobbed up a million Euro bail so he's walking the streets. Spain's sexual assault laws are a complete ****ing disgrace. But he can't leave Spain, they have his passports.

He has surrendered his passports. But still, Spain is a ****ing joke.

It really isn't. It's mostly a generic (in a good way) shooter, remember it's made by guys who left DICE, it's all the devs that made the good Battlefield games. The main difference is how immensely interactable and destructable the environment is. If you're going to play casual there are three main modes: Quick Cash: this is the most similar mode to the competitive tournaments, it is an objective based mode where you take the objective to a location and then have to defend it for a short time while other people try and steal it. Until you learn the ropes, just follow your team mates, stick together and hope they're not useless. Bank It: this is the most "solo-friendly" mode, it is the closest thing to team deathmatch and MOST players treat it that way. People really, really don't care that much about the objective or winning and losing in Bank It. I would recommend you start with this mode for a couple of hours to get comfortable. What you're SUPPOSED to do is collect coins that pop out of either vaults than spawn randomly on the map or other players when you kill them and then go and put them in cash-out machines dotted around the arena. Power Shift - this is a new mode for season 2. There's a platform in the middle of the map, if your team is standing on it it goes in your direction, if the other team is standing on it it goes in their direction. To win you have to get it to your end of the map or have it closer to your end before the time runs out. This is a bit 50/50 in terms of whether people actually try and win or whether they just go for kills. It's a fairly easy mode to get in to because the platform makes it so you know exactly where 90% of people will be. But it's probably a bit chaotic if you don't fully understand the game yet.

Erm, you mean gamers? The setting is grimdark and it has a dystopian, ultra-authoritarian government so it's attracted a small number of the usual morons that don't understand satire. The same subset of nerd that collects Warhammer 40k miniatures and paints them all to look like SS troopers and whose favourite game is Hearts of Iron 4 just don't ask them what side they usually pick. But 99% of the playerbase are just normal people. A whole load of my friends have gotten it and they're all just normal, well adjusted, bland as **** human beings. Play it or don't on it's merits I guess, it does look a bit boring IMO but I'd say any article claiming its the game for the next generation of Hitler Youth is just click/rage bait tbh.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Finnegan replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
To be honest, looking at the punishments Forest and Everton got I find myself not giving a flying **** if we get a points deduction or not. If that's the sum total of all of the financial problems we've had over the last few years, a 4pt deduction, and then we just get to spend our promotion money and get on our way? **** it. We'll easily survive even with a 4 point deduction. If we get over this current little slump and wrap up our promotion on a high I feel bullishly confident about next year. -
We have missed Ricardo so, so, so much imo. Ricardo and Winks are to our midfield and even defence what Gnonto, Rutter and Summerville are to Leeds' attack. Just far too good for this league. Ricky should still be off playing Europa League football for some Roma, Benfica, Sociedad size club.
-
This is.... spectacularly dumb.
-
Us and Leeds will go up automatically. I can see us maybe wobbling and finishing second which will be a bit embarrassing but after the international break, save for some really bad luck, we should have our first choice fit and ready and rested for the final push and I think we'll shake off this malaise and wrap it up in something of an anti climax personally.
-
Vestergaard going up front like big Steve Walsh is the least Enzo move ever, love that
-
We're going to really need to invest in centre backs if we go up.
-
Whatever happens from here, think this can't do us any harm. To be honest, if you want to be cynical about it, you could even argue the Red Card might help. Worst case scenario, it's a good excuse if we lose to a Big Six club with billions of pounds of players, best case scenario it makes any shithouse win even better. Given where we were at half time, think we can be extremely proud of this and hope it really lifts the spirits and confidence of the players tbh.
-
Because it's not a pen. Denying a direct goal scoring opportunity. VAR has got that completely spot on. That's what it's there for. Vestergaard to blame, yet again a Leicester defender overly-aggressively trying to step up on a player that is so much faster than them. Why are we doing that. All he has to do is hold his ground a little bit and we're fine. Faes has started doing it too much too.

Frank Sinclair

Why are both of our centre backs chasing the ball down the RB channel
-
Yunus on at HT. Fatawu is trying way too hard and does not look at it at all.
-
Shut the **** up Hermansen is an unreal shot stopper. Stolarczyk is decent and a good back up but he's not in that class, not yet at least. That pen is an important save but it largely just hit him. Ward could have saved that it was so bad.
-
Fatawu
-
That's definitely the bad side of Vestergaard The **** is Hamza or Wilf doing though. How is their left back unmarked on the goal line.

Whoever decided this Chelsea kit needed a badge like a 90s holographic shiny sticker is a comedy genius.
-
It's honestly an option but I'd like to have a bit of atmosphere. Crowd sounds good.
-
Genuinely think I'd rather watch a dodgy Turkish stream on my laptop with no English comms, five pixels per square inch, that's five minutes behind and needs reloading three times per half than listen to Jonathan Pearce and Martin Keown.
-
Yeah quite possibly. We will never really know. I just think it's too easy to completely blame covid though.

I still get the flash backs
