It was reminiscent of the start of the season - flowing, moving the ball quicker through the midfield and sometimes missing out the 6 completely, playing against a low block, sustained pressure leading to a late goal. That's on Norwich because they didn't apply the formula that has caused us problems, and also down to better execution. No denying that we progressed the ball quicker though - that was a hallmark of the early part of the season, people forget. When I watched us in preseason that was the big, refreshing difference from the last days of the leprechaun.

EVERYTHING IS FINE!

The goat is different. He will have put in extra training punching himself in the face and will emerge tomorrow like a rabid animal, fuelled by his new isotonic drink of Buckfast, port and Red Bull

I think he might have gouged his own eyes out

Vardy is currently averaging 0.89 goals per 90 minutes. 2nd best in the league after Josh Sargent.
-
Plenty of errors both forced and unforced. The number of times we were turned over in the midfield against Bristol, sadly I think you might both be right

Listen we can't change our philosophy we have to stand by it

And Wout would be suspended constantly. Edit: after a second's thought I'm all for it

Form, on the other hand - in a run-in, in the playoffs - form is massively important. Our rivals have hit their stride at the perfect time. We've got to start a race with a cold engine. -

Really puts those six-pointers into perspective. We haven't beaten the best teams in the league, 2 points from 4 matches against Leeds and Ipswich. Can't claim we deserve the title. -

Well that's the wheels fully off isn't it -
Absolute clown show at the back. We desperately need to score first.

This Faes need nightmare needs to end. He's been terrifying for weeks.

They're dream owners - writing off debt, investing in the ground and revenue-driving developments, investing in the training ground, investing in the community, building ties and embracing the city. They are failing in one respect - in employing the best football brains in the business to handle the specialist gaps in their knowledge. People who have the nous to steer an ambitious club past the pitfalls and through the dangers, who know the system inside out and are agile enough to stay at the top of the game. Ideally they'd be vocal and persistent in campaigning for a fairer opportunity for clubs in the 5th-9th of the PL bracket as well. Rudkin simply isn't qualified to be a DoF. It needs fixing yesterday, if not sooner.

The appointment was exciting, showed a nice vision, and was wildly successful until January. The financial management has been a shitshow and will I fear be our undoing when he ****s off to Brighton in summer and we're left with a thin squad and nobody 'building a philosophy'. If we're unable to back Enzo because we chucked a criminally bloated contract at the bright-toothed charlatan then let him shaft the dressing room it will be a bitter, bitter pill to swallow.

Yep, he even said that between the cups and all competitions the top teams in the prem are playing 50-odd games this season The second bit is what concerns me, seems like he could be gone whatever the outcome this season. He will have offers I'm sure.

Completely agreeable on all points. Worrying also.

This isn't even the most worrying thing that he said in the interview. Asked if Enzo made the right choice in playing Vestergaard against Chelsea's front 4 he said words to the effect that fast, reliable defenders who can play the ball and are good in the air don't play for Championship teams which is fair enough but dodges the question. He said he felt Enzo played his best 11. On the Championship he said having experienced the Championship and learned about it this season he is certain that Enzo will never, ever, ever want to play another season in this league in his career, citing the number of matches. But the really telling thing was when he said that if you look at the Prem, clubs don't just have excellent players and coaches, they have the best people 'in the offices' - he specifically referenced the director of football position, and he said that the next 10-15 years of the club's legacy or history relies on them developing a top-tier structure of the best football professionals who understand how the game works or it will become a yo-yo club. So to me that was a very strong indication that Enzo thinks the board are a bunch of clowns and he will likely want out if we get promoted or not...

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

No worries then - all charges will be dropped -
Oh no, and we've done pretty well with what we have. The squad as is should be perfectly capable of getting the job done this season. As Guillaume said on the WYS podcast about pacy central defenders who can play out, are hard to beat and offer strength in the air - these players do not play in the Championship. The Chelsea game showed us more clearly than ever where the weaknesses are. I wonder if we'll be able to address them if we go up. Nothing is clear at the moment.
-
None of them really shines in that role we need - the pacy, creative attacking-minded player who can break the lines and offers a genuine goal threat. KDH needs that alongside him, Ndidi has done his best, Ricardo is not quite that player and is key in his usual role, Yunus doesn't seem to have it. We haven't filled the Maddison-shaped hole in the squad.

This sounds like throwing further crap on top of a steaming pile of existing crap, in the hope that you'll somehow end up with a smaller heap of crap
