  1. They're saying 2 blues or a yellow and a blue would constitute a red - so the blue is actually a harsher punishment than a yellow. It's an 'orange' card
  2. Are they proposing to sinbin goalkeepers? That's a great way to completely disproportionately shaft a game of football.
  3. From each according to ability, to each according to need? THOSE DAMN NFL COMMIES
  4. I can't believe there's this much criticism, with the squad he has, in the time he's had, in the position we're in, with the goals we've scored. Especially when you look at the state of things mere weeks before he joined. It's mind-boggling.
  5. The grin in his face when he sprinted to earn that foul in the corner 😆
  6. Scored at least 3 in 10 of the last 13 games...
  7. People see the dominance and expect that to lead to glorious free-flowing attacking football. What they don't seem to see is that without the style, there wouldn't be any dominance. Added to that, we have the likes of Mavididi and Fatawu who are very often our highest players, ahead of the 9, who absolutely love a rampaging run. They are highly entertaining players and they've produced some wonderful moments, but you can't let them take every chance. Enzo's doing a great job of keeping the balance in my opinion, especially with the younger players who are fired up. He's obviously got a couple of rules about how to determine the quality of the chance, and if it's on they're free to go nuts. He doesn't chastise players for taking opportunities very often - you'll see him applaud and encourage after a miss or breakdown. He's not yelling at these creative players for having a go in the right circumstances. The entertainment is there but you can't dominate a team without keeping the ball and being selective.
  8. I'm a fan in general. Last year we were crying out for someone with a bit of bite and aggression, and Hamza coming back for this year has given us that. He's a more mature player than he was, and he's improved under Enzo. He's covered a lot of bases for us, he can adapt to where he's needed and he's made a decent fist of getting up to speed with the system and doing a job in a pivotal position. He's stepped up, and he didn't cost us a penny. He was really poor for most of today though, and if you're going to tit about getting arrested then you're going to get pelters.
  9. Bit of a gulf between Birmingham and Brentford
  10. Maybe get some earlier subs going now, like he did earlier in the season
  11. It's all about finding your own path. I'm a zen buddhist and I just shanked a bloke at the offy.
  12. I get what you're saying, and the fanbase is perhaps ungenerous in expecting us to batter everyone. Ipswich turned up and played football. Just annoying because we have a pattern emerging of doing the hard work and not making it count.
  13. First half average positions Cannon was dropping deeper than the wingers to link. We just didn't put chances away. Again.
  14. We end the day with the same points lead as we had going into the game. Closest rivals and two six-pointers out the way with honours even. Ipswich were 4th in the form table since October. Our next half dozen or so games are against teams 9th - 23rd and we will continue to steamroll them. Look at Cov - an incredible twelve game run, including beating us, gone up 14 league places and we've still managed to extend our points lead over them because we're a class above everyone except an unusually high-performing Championship top 4. None of this fills me with confidence for the PL though. We aren't converting dominance into goals, we're not putting games to bed and we seem to have gone from most goals scored in the last 15 to most conceded.
  15. No contact whatsoever
  16. Was a good tackle
  17. Is right. Makes not losing to Ipswich that much more important, big game
  18. Last Enzo said was before the Millwall game I think, 12 weeks. Not heard an update since then
  19. I dunno, Enzo's been rotating pretty well I'd say in general. A few surprise starting XIs with good results this season, and he's done a decent job protecting Ricky. Vardy had plenty of rotation and still suffered injury, sometimes these things just happen. I don't think Wilf played much past the hour in these games? I'm pleased we blasted through December and picked up the points we did, it puts us in a great position.
  20. Makes you wonder how many quality players Brendan wasted. Would Lookman, Tete, Under have flourished under Enzo?
  21. We've already got Conor Cordyceps...
