  1. Well to be fair Lox, we were in League 1 once you know
  2. Yep, we are unfortunately in a position where we have to hope we can tread water long enough for the books to stabilise, then pick up the pieces of what's left and try to build again. Which will take investment, and a very smart 5-year plan from a savvy DoF.
  3. Yeah this is an interesting one. Ruud was able to freeze certain players out after a while. So was Marti, but it seems that they have to really take the piss first. One of the most frustrating things is not having any information about the plan if there is one, or the inner workings of the club. Years from now I think we'll learn some pretty shocking stuff about this period.
  4. And manager. Playing Ayew for such long periods is a crime.
  5. The only thing we have is a decent midfield, Fatawu - Skipp - James - Mavididi is solid enough. The fact that we don't have anything like a decent 9 or 10 robs us of a spine and a threat, and the fact that we don’t have competent fullbacks costs us games. Unfortunately we've got gaping holes up front and at the back, and that's why we're mid table. There's a good case to be made for using Aluko, Page and Silko. When the latter two come on we have some vigour and more direct patterns. Aluko and Monga might have a bit of chemistry as well from. The fact that Marti isn't trusting/risking these players with enough minutes is what's costing us, it's looking like he hasn't got any balls.
  6. Just to complete this thought, number 10 my arse
  7. Not what I want from a 10. He's not creative or attacking enough. All he does is hang behind an attack playing short passes a couple of yards forward to a doubled-up winger, or recycles it. He relies on James to actually create anything. Look at his 'progressive passes received' and touches in the opposition box for an idea of whereabouts on the pitch he plays.
  8. Watching him walk about behind the advancing midfield instead of trying to break the lines gets very, very frustrating. Him and Ayew together is the most pedestrian, uninspiring central attacking pairing imaginable.
  9. How depressingly predictable
  10. At least it looks like there's a good chance of a chunk of it falling into the Trent
  11. Was a fiver for my 9 year old to go to WBA, bought before Christmas
  12. Well yeah the whole thing was quieter than usual, it was half empty! I cant fault the boos and grumbling, it's the first time I've been down for a while and **** me the football is bad up close
  13. - Away fans sang a bit but they weren’t noisy in the grand scheme of things - The only boos in SK1 that I remember were for that godawful goal kick routine between Nelson and Jakub, because it was just putting us under huge pressure and we kept losing the ball - Plenty of chants going on, especially in the first half, from about 50 or so in the singing section. Jordan James, Ayew, Monga all got their songs. Vichai had a dream got an airing, and a bit of Leicester Boys Are We. But by far the most was every Hamza Choudhury song in the book, all game. This led to a spirited argument between the singing section and one bloke who very persistently and angrily kept shouting about how shit he is and telling them to shut up, which of course guaranteed many more Hamza songs at louder volume. What was interesting was Pipes after the game saying he’d been handed a bit of paper with a confirmed attendance of 12,700
  14. Fatawu was very quiet apart from his goal on Monday. Marti said he was tired and his calves were cramping. He needs to be given the day off completely.
  15. Sad to watch him tonight. He's done. Okoli bailed him out several times. Some poor passes and even his touch looked clumsy. Was glad to see him clear off the line, but he doesn't have the legs to push as far forward as he does. He was in some bizarre positions tonight when we needed a right back and there was no way he was getting there.
  16. I nearly lost my shit tonight as Okoli carried the ball forward wondering wtf he was going to do with it and Bobby Reid was just strolling behind him. Not been down to a game for a while and the slowness was genuinely shocking. Also that stupid goal kick routine where Nelson passes to Jakub can **** all the way off.
  17. I don't think they announced the attendance at the ground
  18. What they fail to account for is that 'backing the lads' hasn't stopped the rot, at board level or on the pitch
  19. One hundred per cent
  20. Or the fact that the board's willingness to hand over responsibility for many key areas to the manager (due to a weak or inexperienced DoF and lack of technical director) made them lucky with Pearson, but was a terrible situation with everyone since. The lack of continuity and board-led strategy when it comes to sports science, medicine, scouting and transfers is arguably a massive factor in our tailspin to this position.
  21. He's got to learn
  22. This basically. Lots of this on Facebook and Reddit.
  23. Bought tickets as a Christmas treat for my 9 year old, before the boycott talk At least I can encourage him to abuse a happy clapper I suppose
  24. Would be really good if you shut up and go away
  25. Jesus Christ on a bike
